About a year ago I was looking for reviews and comparisons between starter clubs when I came across Rick Shiels. What I thoroughly enjoy about the reviews is how he describes the feel and also his comparison to other clubs. Living in an area with no local golf centers or testable clubs, being able to have a description of other clubs to compare really helps. So glad the H.I.T. channel is up and running, well done gentlemen.
Rick won't like hearing it, but I think these clubs (at least in the longer irons) would do wonders for his consistency in the Break 75 series. The shot dispersion with them was the most impressive thing, never mind the numbers. Seriously impressive ball striking with them, Rick
I would cut off a small part of a finger if I could get Rick to play "game improvement" irons. I love the guy but he is not a T-100 type player. I am a 2 Handicap and I play Rogue X irons. They are basically made for 25 handicappers or so. I couldn't care less. I play much, much better with these irons than some "blades". If I hear the word "workability" one more time I may jump off a bridge. It might be the dumbest concept in golf. Watch James Robinsons shot tracers. There is no "workability"...he just hits it straight.
He's got a lot of irons in the fire with videos and podcasts. And he needs to keep the programming coming to keep up his viewership, which is how he makes a living. I imagine Rick finds it difficult to find time to spend working on his game. Playing tour irons might be asking a bit much.
Would love to see a comparison with the New P790, the New Apex Pros and the New Titleist T200. Love the channel and can't wait to see the T350 review as well.
I'm a Mizuno fan, I use Mizuno Hot Metal Pros. I am a 10.6 hcp and I've avoided Titleist clubs, because they have been traditionally more difficult to hit. But the T200's look very classy and they appear to be easier to hit. Interesting. It is so good to see you coming out with reviews, we were waiting for so long. I hope you plan on doing a reviews on T350's and I would love to see you review the new RAM FX77 irons and the new MacGregor MT-86 irons.
I've always been so scared of getting Taylormade clubs because of the amount of warranty claims online but never felt anything else performed as good as the high P series, until now. Thanks for the review and taking the time to explain the numbers, I think it's time for an upgrade!
Great review, loving the new studio. Only minor gripe is that the P790 was two generations old. Would love to see a head-to-head of the T200, current P790, Paradym, and MP225.
I switched from TaylorMade to Titleist irons when the "game improvement" T300 series was fairly new. I've been impressed with the T300, and, since my game has improved, this evaluation of the T200 is quite intriguing! Shielsie, I feel you've got a really great thing going with this new studio and channel. Keep these player-focused reviews coming!
I fall right into that zone that you talked about, Rick, as an 11 hcp. I'm now really excited and curious to try out the new Titleist T200 irons! The fact that the peak height was a bit higher than the P790 is awesome and will hopefully hold firmer greens a bit better.
And they're way too strong lofted. Unless you're a slow swinger that need help with distance, look elsewhere or your gonna need 5 wedges to fill the lower gap in the bag. The pw is 43 degrees for crying out loud!!!
@suilegew Agreed. Too strong for me. I hit them in a sim and was carrying 9 iron 164 yards. I prefer the lofts of the T150s and T100s much more. I suppose that's why you can get the approach/gap wedge in the T200 set. Lol.
@@suilegew The set does have a GW. I actually ordered my set from 5-GW instead of 4-PW. So instead of carrying a 4 iron, and a hybrid etc. Now my 5 iron goes about as well as the 3 hybrid I used to carry. There's a hair too big of a gap from my 5 iron to my 5 wood....but I don't see that coming into play very often. The T200's effectively move everything up by 1 club - but I'm getting a higher launch/peak height out of all of them, and more consistent distance on off centre hits than my old gamers. I'm not a fast swinger....but also not slow. Driver is about 100mph plus or minus on any given swing....7 iron is about 80mph.
@@Reffitt2 That's crazy speed....your 9 iron swing speed must be close to 90mph....that's basically tour level speed. Of course a players distance iron wouldn't be a good fit. Would love to have that kind of speed!! lol
I have to say even though I was never the best golfer in the world I always loved my Titleist irons. Still have my DCI 962 and love them to this day. In my opinion they forced me to grove a better swing and not let technology make my game better. Glad to see the new series going well. Now to get those DCI's re-shafted, don't generate the swing speed I used to. 🙂
Bought the 2nd gen T200s (2021) and I absolutely love them. The extra distance is great and I feel there is quite a bit of forgiveness even without the cavity. Very clean iron. I salivate over the t150s but I can’t justify spending more money on irons when there is nothing wrong with current set
I’m not an average golfer but I’ve been looking at these irons since they come out. I finally made bit the bullet and now my bag is all titleist, Scotty putter, vokey wedges and gt driver. Can’t take the money with you so spend it on what you enjoy 👍
Nice ball striking Rick, well done! As far as the numbers there doesn't seem to be much between the Taylormade and Titleist but as far as looks go I'd put my money Behind those Titleist irons any day.
That peak height and land angle is a considerable difference, though it is the old 790 and the new ones likely launch more similar to t200. But that is a more considerable distinction than you were making it out to be.
These look like the P790 from 2019, so would be good to see these against the 2021 updated version. Once the 2023 P790 is available to trial, would love to see these against the T150’s 👌🏼 I reckon these two sets of irons are going to dominate the market for the next couple of years!
I recently went to a Mizuno pro 225 , same lofts as T200 and P790 ….. I cant believe how easy they are to hit and distance I have gained is awesome. I am a 10 handicap and I say to anyone out there that has not tried these type clubs , try them , it is worth it , plenty of used sets out there now to help with cost. Thanks rick ,
I’m a 13 HC but don’t play much/looking to play more and improve. Always been in a game improvement iron and never been fitted. Got fitted today and got the t200s. Can’t wait to get them. They felt amazing.
Great review! Nice to see the comparisons between brands. Would love to see how the Takomo 101 and 101T irons would stack up against these bigger brands!
Pre-Ordered the T200!! While i love the feel of my (black) T100S they are just a tiny bit too unforgiving & short .. not even sure i will mix & match .. and man these T200 are gorgeous (especially compared to last model)
P790s came out around the same time as the 1st t series and went to go buy the 790s. They looked like my first budget set with a boxy top line. But when I put the t200 in my hand I instantly loved the look of them and still do. These new ones have me drooling🤣
Thanks for the video. I just got mine today. Loved everything about this iron. Titleist finally pulled me away from Mizuno. Thanks Rick for awesome test.
Not really a fair comparison to use the P790s from six years ago. It was honestly a little jarring given the brand new P790 clubs have been in videos released just in the last few days (Micah Morris released a video yesterday) and then Rick pulls out an antique.
This was going to be my comment as well. I have a BRAND NEW set of P790 and was disappointed at the opening of this video. Then realized it’s the oldest P790. So, idk. 🤷♂️
The Titleist irons are just pure class, loving the reviews and insight on each model you bring to the table rick, please keep the awesome content coming.
I recently bought the T-200 set (4i - 48 degree) with the stock AMT Red shafts. This set replaces a Honma TW747 irons set with Honma Vizard 63 gram graphite shafts. I hit the T-200's longer, by 15% every club. Shot dispersion is also tighter on the practice range. After this beneficial change to Titleist I replaced my entire woods arsenal from Tour Edge E722 to Titleist Tsi2 Driver through 5 hybrid. These are also performing better. My average score on my 6,800 yard home course has dropped 4 strokes. Surprisingly I was having trouble with the Vokey SM8 52, 56, 60 degree wedges, just too many unpredictable shots with duffs, shanks, etc. Changed to Taylormade High toe, which are working great. Also changed out the Costco Signature blade putter for a Taylormade TP DuPage mallet. A big improvement. Consistently sinking those 4 foot to 10 foot "knee knockers" with confidence. Me: 71 years old. 13 handicap. Play 3 rounds per week. Walk the course, push a trolley.
I would like to see an accurate test of the new p790 against the new t200. Having owned both first iterations, I know that there’s a big difference in feel over the years.
On reviews it could be handy to see the club head speed and peak height. Hitting some shots at around the slower 80mph club head speed might help a lot of golfers that don't have as much speed as Rick (higher h/cappers). Would just give everyone a couple of benchmark stats of club performance (launch, height, carry, stopping power). Cheers, enjoy all your vids.
I have had t200 for about a year now and I love them. Probably do another year then go Into probably taylor made player irons. Lovely to see you hit them so well.
Looking forward to the next set of Titleist irons. As a higher handicapper I'm not sure if the 200s or the 350s would suit me better. I'm looking to invest in new irons soon.
Or blend them if you struggle with low irons… go with the 350s in the low irons and 200s in the high loft irons (if you can get past seeing two different clubs in your bag)
This sector of the market has some really good options right now. The Titleist T200, Taylormade P790, PXG 0311P Gen 6, and Mizuno Pro 225 are all incredible. All perform very well and I love the looks of all of them even though they are a little different (very different for the 0311P). Not sure you could go wrong with any of the 4.
I thought I was going to buy one of these two clubs, T200 or P790. 11 Hcp. I also tried Mizunos, Srixon, Ping and Callaway Apex. I ended up choosing the Apex, smooth as butter, workable, ball flights was great, I play on firm greens and I want the ball to stop. From 7 iron down these stop and check. T200 was second, but not by far.
Loving these reviews so far Rick! Would love some ball reviews as well, to see what good mid range alternatives there are to premium balls like the Chrome Soft or Pro V1. I feel like that’s where golfers spend money the most regularly and could have an impact on their game. Loving the channel!
@@zacharyplace7482 I got some Chrome Softs for my birthday and promptly lost them all (that hurt). I’ve started using Kirkland’s they’re great. I’ve been trying Seed balls as well, they’re pretty similar but they’re £2 a ball, and honestly I haven’t seen a huge drop off in performance from the chrome softs. Good distance and good spin on the green.
I would be cautious when purchasing these irons as I have owned them from new since August 2023 and the plastic backing (back of the club head) has come off on the 7 iron. Seems to be a problem Titleist are having with them. Also the cheap plastic that they have glued to the back fades dramatically and quickly making them look really worn and cheap within a few months. I'm in the process of returning mine which is unfortunate as they do perform very well.
I’m a 2 handicap and I’m dying to try these out. They got rid of a lot of the offset that the AP3 had which makes these so much more appealing to me. Plus the increased forgiveness over the T100/T150 would be super beneficial in the early months of the season post-winter. I hope they’re as good as they seem!
Your a 2 hdcp and thinking about these? I might have to rethink my game i have a 10 hdcp in 12 months of playing and have Ben Hogan Icon blades in the bag but i'm growing tired of having to middle every shot, every round. I'm really thinking of going backwards to a iron like my Ping I525 from last year but i hated those with a passion lol i just like pure forged clubs in general i'm in a dilemma and need to get fitted again
I’m in the same position as you. I’m a 3 handicap who loved my AP3’s. Ordered the T150’s. Didn’t like the feel, ball flight, distance, etc. Went back to my AP3’s and ordered the T200’s. Waiting for them to arrive. Excited to see how they stack up against the AP3’s. Let me know what you think about them. I’ve been trying to find someone to compare the AP3 and the T200. All the best.
I shoot low 80's / upper 70's and I got the T200's this year. They felt great on the fitting mat but I struggled to hit them on the course. I switched to the T350 and it was a night and day difference. The T-350 still has the same look and I am very pleased!
This idea that you'll occasionally get a really hot strike with hollow head irons is a myth. I've been playing TM P790s for a year and have never had it happen.
@@Chris54321 "Pros" in comment sections say a lot of things. I've never seen it and I've never seen it done on RUclips. If it happens someone should be able to hit a hundred shots in a row from the same spot on camera and point out the two or three that go twenty long.
@@marvinburkholder8907 At this point there should be a golf channel with a robot that hits 100 perfect sweet spot shots. Then 100 5 millimeters towards the heel, then the toe, etc. Until that happens everything is subjective and smoke and mirrors of marketing.
I don’t keep a handicap but I’m typically between 100-105 on the course. The irons I’ve been using are more smaller headed tour irons and not at all what I should be playing. I got fit for the first time and assumed I’d been put into a more forgiving club and actually found the best numbers with the t200s. I was able to strike the ball well consistently. I swung the new p790s, Mizuno hot metals and 225s, and the paradyms. I think, based on personal experience, it’s an iron that higher handicap players can game as well. I will say I went with a blended set, t350s in the longer irons but I did find the t200s to be much more forgiving than I originally expected.
You’re telling me with all the resources and manufactures at his disposal, that rick couldn’t get his hands on the new 2023 P790 or even the P790 from 2021?!? He’s legit comparing the brand new 2023 T200 to a P790 that was released two generations ago in 2019!! So deceptive smh it’s a shame people will spend their hard earned money on new clubs based on a fraudulent video like this.
I was custom fit 2 years ago for 2019 T200’s but all the slight mishits resulted in a loud clacky sound. Finally traded them in late last year for 2021 T100s’s. Best irons I’ve played. No plans of getting the new T150’s
I spent 4+ hours getting professionally fit after renewing my interest in golf following +10 years away from the game. I was a single-digit handicapper oh so long ago, so I know how to hit the ball (although it's coming back painfully slowly). I hit everything: PXG Gen 6, Ping G430 and i525, Cobra King Tour, Mizuno Hot Metal and 225, TM P770 and the new 790, Callaway Apex and Paradym. I truly thought I would be walking out with a Srixon ZX5/7 combo set. Turns out, my shot dispersion with the T200 (w/KBS Tour-V shaft) blew everything away. Nothing was close. The extra distance is nice, not a selling point really for me though. The ability to throw darts with the T200s has me very excited to play again.
I am in the exact same boat as you. 20 year break. First set of clubs in 30 years. Bought off the shelf M4 irons and driver. The first year this year, has been rough. It's not like riding a bicycle. Bad knees, rotators, Iraq, and back. My body knows what to do, i just don't think the joints work that way anymore. One more year and I think I will be in the market for fitting.
Right there with ya! I'm curious - it looks as though the sets only go from 5 - PW + AW w/ steel shafts and 6 - PW + AW w/ graphite. Any ideas/heard any advice on what to do for longer irons/additional wedges at that point?
I am in the same boat as you guys. I use old Top Flite Tour irons. I am lucky to live fairly close to a 2nd Swing Golf location. Over time I have found a 3,4, and 5 hybrid in their bargain bin. They are used, not a prestigious brand, but I like them a lot. 15 dollars was the most I paid. Two days ago I found a club I call the Abomination. A Pitching wedge hybrid that I got for 6 dollars. Lol.
@@NickolaiVolkovt200 has a 4 iron. After that most companies try and put you into a utility iron/hybrid/wood, and after the aw you go to their vokey wedges.
@@TripodianTTthats what kills me, it seems like all the forgiving irons these days are for distance. I’m newer around a 16 handicap but have high swing speed. Local fitters just say here you need this forgiveness and i bomb my 7 to almost 200 with roll out….
I've just had a fitting for the T200 irons, I loved them and I've bought a set, I can't wait for them to arrive. I did try the P790 irons and I also liked them. The Titleist just felt a bit better and it also gained me 5 more yards than the P790, but still with a good spin rate and descent angle. Both are very good irons.
just picked up a set, went from 695CB's, These are so easy to hit and i gained 15-20 yards on the whole iron range. Sound and feel is on point, My Cb's Felt alot softer tho.
Rick love the review I am going to pick one issue out. The p790 model you put the t200 against is the 2019 model I believe not the current 2021 model or the son to be released new 2023 model. Would love to see a closer comparison between the clubs
Rick, I've been playing the T200 since they came out -- I thought I was satisfied, but now, thanks to you, I have to try the new models. Perhaps though, I'll wait until you demo the T350. Thank you for being my excuse to spend money on new clubs!
Love all of what this channel has been! My only request would maybe be a reference to what is being reviewed in the title so it’s easy to go back and find in the future. On the podcast you always talk about how great used clubs can be but it’s hard to find reviews on old stuff with titles like this
Rick. That p790 is at least two generations old. Am I missing something, TM just dropped the 4th gen of the p790. Not necessarily a fair comparison between these two. These t200s are going to be very popular, they are one of the best looking irons to come out
I have an issue with so called “Distance” irons not being more open that they achieve this by jacking up lofts. A 160 yard 9 iron at 38.5* is essentially a standard 8 iron loft (not a 9). Cobra started this 25 years ago with their Greg Norman Oversize models. Titleist and Mizuno have historically done iron design aesthetics better the majority of all other manufacturers. However, thanks to the P790’s it’s no longer a two horse race… Love the content on this new channel Rick - keep it going. Thanks!!!
My own personal T150's are in flight to my bag. So excited. I hit those clubs and was just gobsmacked. What a beautiful feel these Titliest irons have. I hit all the others too at club champion too. Does this feel translate to everyone's game, try for yourself!
I had an iron fitting a few weeks ago. It came down to three. Ping i525, Titleist T200 (2023) and TM 790 (2022). Once it was narrowed to those three, it was about a hour working those three. My heart wanted the Titleist but all the data and the feel said the Pings so thats what I went with. I hope to pick them up today and then wait for a non 110 degree day here in Texas to test them in real life. I had been using my Cleveland TA5 Gunmetals for 22 years.
I'd be interested to see your comparison to the Srixon ZX5 or ZX4. With the rave reviews, I've been thinking about getting fit and this video just made that lineup decision harder
Will be in the market for a new set of irons this winter. T200 seems right up my alley as I’m playing around a 10-12 handicap. Concerned about the gapping to my wedges though… PW 42 to a 50 degree gap wedge could easily be a 20 yard gapping which is not whatcha want.
I bought the previous model in 2022 and was never really happy with it - despite the fitting. Have now replaced them with Takomo‘s 101 and am happy with these clubs. Looks better. Sounds better. Performs better! 15HCP
Another fantastic video Rick! Excellent reviews so far. Being a Titleist/Footjoy supporter and user for many years, it is fantastic to see them making sets that work across all handicaps. 👍👏👏👏
We all want to play with blades and I love that you have the look of a blade but forgiveness in these hollow heads. Great clubs. I'm glad Rick does the comparison to the 790s too.
Tried the t150’s and really loved them in the hitting bay. Just think I would need a little more forgiveness on course. The t200’s may fit the bill. Looking forward to the t350 review and really considering a combo set
I went from an old set of ap2's to the last version of the t200's and it honestly made the game so much easier. I can still work the ball when I need to but the added distance gives me so much more confidence over certain shots
I went for a fitting last weekend and tried the new t200 and can confirm you’re absolutely right Rick, they are absolutely phenomenal golf clubs and I can’t wait to receive them in a couple of weeks😊
Rick! Mate get a spilt set of these and the 150s in your bag ASAP, these have been the most consistent and accurate shots I've seen you play in a while, be the golfer you are and smash #break75 chin up, move forward and never listen to haters, Guy Charnock do your job and make this happen lol
Lucky you Rick. I love the T series and been looking at the t200 and t300 for some time. Now these new ones look even more gorgeous! Can't wai for he T350 review! Not sure they look good in the studio bags though, not to worry, I'll gladly take them off your hands.....if I must :)
I actually just tried the new T200’s this past weekend, I also tried the p790. Never hit either club before, the 790’s felt better and was more forgiving.
As a golf equipment nerd, I would be interested in seeing a video with a driver and maybe fairway woods, showing the differences between stock shafts and expensive upgrade shafts. I know as amateur golfers we probably don't need to spend 300 quid on a shaft, but would be interesting to see the benefits as we've all got to spend our money on something!
I didn't think I would like this channel as much as the main one, but I'm loving it! It's such a great way to see what the numbers say... numbers never lie😊
I just bought the Tour Edge Exotics c722 mostly because they weren’t overly delofted. I mean you get to the point from 140 in you end up having in between shots, much rather have a full swing down to 120 yards or so.
I just purchased another set of irons, but I wish these would have come out a few weeks sooner. I feel like these would be a lot better for me. I was able to test them at golf galaxy this week and they felt phenomenal! Great video Rick keep it up!
Oddly enough I was just looking at these the other day. I like my zx5’s. But the 6/5/4 iron have very little separation Will be saving up over the winter to go for a fitting
Time to update from the old ping 400 irons. Was leaning towards either these or the 425s. Not really 100% sure and doing some more research before i pull the trigger on a new set.
I just pre-ordered the new 2023 P790s that come out next month. Would be fairer to compare both the 2023 models because right now you're comparing a brand new model to an older one. I hope when they come out September 1st you do that. Great video
Thanks for all your expertise! From one Rick to another, I really enjoy all the content you and guy and your team put out! I know it’s a grind I appreciate you all.
For someone who is looking to move up from my Mavrik irons, the side by side performance with the T200 and P790 irons makes my upgrade choice very difficult. I think price will be the deciding factor with me.
Recently, I brought a set of AP2s and loving the feel and work ability of them. But lacking distance. After watching the T150 and this T200 review, I'm thinking maybe I should splash on some newins... damn it I'm not made of money! Hahahaha Great review Rick. Loving this H.I.T Channel. I've always been so scared of getting Taylormade clubs because of the amount of warranty claims online but never felt anything else performed as good as the high P series, until now. Thanks for the review and taking the time to explain the numbers, I think it's time for an upgrade!
It doesn’t perform as good. He’s comparing clubs 4 years apart.
I’ve had p760 and p790 combo irons for about 4 years with no issues
Titleist irons are my go to, way way better feel. Get better forgiveness w TaylorMade though
I got fitted into the 2019 T200 (used) about a month ago. Weakened 2 degrees to get a good landing angle...I absolutely love them.
Great review, loving the new studio. Only minor gripe is that the P790 was two generations old. Would love to see a head-to-head of the T200, current P790, Paradym, and MP225.
True...definitely for current P790 and MP225 - although the Paradym is not really in the same category....more of a true GI iron.
The only difference is bulking and a little more distance. Players distance clubs is what I like.
Same man. I got a set of 2021 t200's awhile ago and they're some of the best irons ive ever owned.
May i ask what is your handicap. Im at 17 hcp and are looking at them to.??
It's honestly very impressive to see how well this model of P790 (which is a few years old) does when being compared to a brand new iron.
Yeah, I was about to sell my P790 (2019). Now I am keeping it. 😂
They have just been relaunched
This was a great look at the T200s. Can’t wait to see the 350s! That studio is amazing. Every golfer’s dream
Or you can save several hundreds and buy those P790s cause they are 4 years old.
@@richardbicker640 agreed, but I was just saying I’d like to see it 🤣
I recently went to a Mizuno pro 225 , same lofts as T200 and P790 ….. I cant believe how easy they are to hit and distance I have gained is awesome. I am a 10 handicap and I say to anyone out there that has not tried these type clubs , try them , it is worth it , plenty of used sets out there now to help with cost. Thanks rick ,
My Mizuno MP-57s were some of my favorite irons. Mizuno makes great irons
I ordered my set last week. Great video Rick, reassured what I felt and thought. Great video.
Are you satisfied with them?
I’m a 13 HC but don’t play much/looking to play more and improve. Always been in a game improvement iron and never been fitted. Got fitted today and got the t200s. Can’t wait to get them. They felt amazing.
I would really like to see Rick game the T200's for 3 weeks in break 75. Fantastic review as always
Great idea!
Rick, thank you for your reviews for the "everyman" who loves this game. The way you communicate your thoughts and feels are great to watch !
😂😂😂 The T200s sure are sharp looking irons
@@cleveland2022 funnily enough after testing about 15 different brands over a few weeks I had narrowed it down to the Cleveland launchers and t200s.
Thanks for the video. I just got mine today. Loved everything about this iron. Titleist finally pulled me away from Mizuno. Thanks Rick for awesome test.
I must say these clubs are absolutely a work of art 👌🏻
I play the T200, just the iteration before these. I absolutely love them! Was the best purchase I made.
So, idk. 🤷♂️
The new p790's are all over RUclips.Think it's only Rick who's not got them😂
Really appreciate how you explain what type of golfer each club is designed for. Another great video!
This was the reaction is was looking for!
And the new Apex Pro
@@Baf630x true honestly
On reviews it could be handy to see the club head speed and peak height. Hitting some shots at around the slower 80mph club head speed might help a lot of golfers that don't have as much speed as Rick (higher h/cappers). Would just give everyone a couple of benchmark stats of club performance (launch, height, carry, stopping power). Cheers, enjoy all your vids.
Surely would be better to compare the newer edition P790?
I have had t200 for about a year now and I love them. Probably do another year then go Into probably taylor made player irons. Lovely to see you hit them so well.
Looking forward to the next set of Titleist irons. As a higher handicapper I'm not sure if the 200s or the 350s would suit me better. I'm looking to invest in new irons soon.
Go 350
Or blend them if you struggle with low irons… go with the 350s in the low irons and 200s in the high loft irons (if you can get past seeing two different clubs in your bag)
I have the old p790s from 2019. Very happy with them but will try the t200s again in a couple of years if they keep improving at this rate
Kirkland balls are absolutely money for 34.99$ 2 dozen
especially beginning golfers. last year was the first time I've finished a round with all the balls I started it with.
@@kenbrown2808Man. That is a good feeling. Sometimes it is obscene how many balls can be lost/abandoned in one round.
@Chris54321 and that wasn't finishing with the same number, that was finishing without losing one.
Awesome review!!!! Seeing the 790’s in your hand makes me want to see old club reviews with this new studio! The possibilities are endless
Yeah I’ve had the same thing happen with mine. Apparently the T350’s have the same problem too
@@laurahutton7048 Yeah I have spoke to people with 350's who have shown me pictures of same issue. Pisses me off
You’re talking about the 2021 models?
@ 2023
As a better golfer Rick would you ever use more forgiving clubs if they made you play better?
I feel like he values looks more than anything for clubs
I shoot low 80's / upper 70's and I got the T200's this year. They felt great on the fitting mat but I struggled to hit them on the course. I switched to the T350 and it was a night and day difference. The T-350 still has the same look and I am very pleased!
This idea that you'll occasionally get a really hot strike with hollow head irons is a myth. I've been playing TM P790s for a year and have never had it happen.
Micah Morris recently made a video with the P790s. "Pro's" in the comments talk like random 20 yard boosted shots happen very often.
Had my P790s since 2020 and never had this problem either.
@@leestockdill5031I have the 2019 p790s and occasionally you catch one flush that flies 10-15 yards farther than usual. Maybe once a round.
Love the new HIT channel. The studio is fantastic and it has taken these equipment reviews to another level!
Hey Rick great review! Love the look of those T200! Behind the golf ball is amazing for a bit of a “more forgiving” Iron!
As a beginner golfer I don't have a full set of clubs. Your new channel is of a really great help ! Keep going... can't wait for the T350 review.
Great review! I am getting back into golf after a 20+ year absence. I watch all your reviews and can't wait to see the T350 review.
Came here for the same comment… not sure why he’s comparing two totally different models. The 2021 Vs 2019 790 is night and day
Rick, I've been playing the T200 since they came out -- I thought I was satisfied, but now, thanks to you, I have to try the new models. Perhaps though, I'll wait until you demo the T350. Thank you for being my excuse to spend money on new clubs!
The t350’s are rocket launchers. You gotta try them.
These t200s are going to be very popular, they are one of the best looking irons to come out
been waiting for this one. it sounds like this is where I want to go, but wouldnt be surprised if I get fitted 200/150 combo.
Rick back to his RUclips roots, smashing golf balls & sharing his honest opinion of new club releases.
Really love your channels!! Please test the new P790 vs T200!!!
This channel is so cool the studio, the irons and rick obviously don’t stop rick we all love watching your videos
I love this channel I was missing Rick’s club reviews
I went from an old set of ap2's to the last version of the t200's and it honestly made the game so much easier. I can still work the ball when I need to but the added distance gives me so much more confidence over certain shots
I went for a fitting last weekend and tried the new t200 and can confirm you’re absolutely right Rick, they are absolutely phenomenal golf clubs and I can’t wait to receive them in a couple of weeks😊
Great to hear! Keep hitting them down the middle
Awesome congrats! Nothing like the excitement of getting new clubs
Rick! Mate get a spilt set of these and the 150s in your bag ASAP, these have been the most consistent and accurate shots I've seen you play in a while, be the golfer you are and smash #break75 chin up, move forward and never listen to haters, Guy Charnock do your job and make this happen lol
Cheers Rick I really needed an excuse to upgrade my 3 year old irons 🙄🙄🙄😂😂 I’m getting fitted for this asap, they look so nice!

Lucky you Rick. I love the T series and been looking at the t200 and t300 for some time. Now these new ones look even more gorgeous! Can't wai for he T350 review! Not sure they look good in the studio bags though, not to worry, I'll gladly take them off your hands.....if I must :)
I’m loving the details of each club! Really puts it into perspective which iron is best for who!
Fantasic honest review of the new Titleist T200 I'm very tempted to get myself measured up with a set. Loving the new studio as well... great work.
Should look at TXG/Club Champion then. Rick's never been about shaft reviews.
I didn't think I would like this channel as much as the main one, but I'm loving it! It's such a great way to see what the numbers say... numbers never lie😊
What’s the difference?

I just bought the Tour Edge Exotics c722 mostly because they weren’t overly delofted. I mean you get to the point from 140 in you end up having in between shots, much rather have a full swing down to 120 yards or so.
Very very good review. If someone is looking for a new set of irons I can easily refer them to watch your videos. Love it!! Keep up the good work
I just purchased another set of irons, but I wish these would have come out a few weeks sooner. I feel like these would be a lot better for me. I was able to test them at golf galaxy this week and they felt phenomenal! Great video Rick keep it up!
Thanks for the video. Just went full set up with t200 but decided to switch my 6 & 5 iron to t350.
Great video. Just had a Callaway Big Bertha 2016 model sell underneath me so thank you for the video to lift my spirits. Cheers.
Oddly enough I was just looking at these the other day. I like my zx5’s. But the 6/5/4 iron have very little separation
Will be saving up over the winter to go for a fitting
Time to update from the old ping 400 irons. Was leaning towards either these or the 425s. Not really 100% sure and doing some more research before i pull the trigger on a new set.
I just pre-ordered the new 2023 P790s that come out next month. Would be fairer to compare both the 2023 models because right now you're comparing a brand new model to an older one. I hope when they come out September 1st you do that. Great video
Thanks for all your expertise! From one Rick to another, I really enjoy all the content you and guy and your team put out! I know it’s a grind I appreciate you all.
Our pleasure! Go Team Rick
Hahahaha
