Thanks for this! I went through a fitting process a couple days ago and this confirms what I experienced. I am an older golfer (70) with a slower swing speed (mid-70's and therefore a shift to R shafts at the same time). But I am fairly good on my ball striking. (To be fair, feel is very important to me as well as appearance.) I had been playing the AP2 718 (P-6) for the past few years with Vokey wedges and 3 Titliest hybrids (25, 23, 19). I settled in on the T150s in the G-6 which surprised me a bit but I didn't feel that much improvement with the T200s in that range and they did not sound or feel quite as soft as the T150s. But the surprise to me was that I decided to replace the 25 degree hybrid with a 5 iron. So which to go with? T200 or T350. I would nearly always use this off the tee on a Par 3 or to avoid some trouble off the tee on a Par 5. I assumed that the T200 would be the clear winner. But in fact the sound and feel of theT200 were not that much better (to my ear and hands) than the T350 and for the specific use case the T350 made more sense. If I like it I may even replace my 23 degree hybrid with a T350 4I. I really appreciate your "slow swing" tests as your swing speed in those cases is close enough to mine. Good stuff!
Had a hit with the 350 the other day and was super impressed. They look MUCH better in the flesh than the pics. Do yourself a favour, swallow your pride, get some game improvement irons, and start really enjoying golf. Im putting up my AP2 irons........
The T350s strike me as a practical iron that would benefit most golfers if they could get past their egos and perceptions a bit. I have been there, struggling with clubs my game wasn’t ready for due to looks and overemphasizing what a good club “should” look like. I am happy to say I have come to my senses and now play a similar club, the Ping G400s. I plan to give the new T350s a very serious look. Thanks for sharing your feedback. 👍🏾
Thanks for this very helpful excellent video. Last week I tested the T150 and T200 7 irons at the PGA Superstore I go to in Rockville, Maryland where I can use their practice bays with Foresight GC Hawk monitors and get data. Compared them to my current forged blade 7 iron with traditional 34 degree loft. Got 7 to 8 yards more carry with both, while height and descent angle were virtually the same and spin was only slightly lower. Run out was actually a bit less than with my iron. Now your video makes me want to try the T350. I'm 82, have been playing for over 60 years, maintain a 16-17 handicap, but could definitely use some extra distance with my irons as long as they stop on the green. Titleist is definitely on to something good here. Only problem is the usual one of the budget.
I tried the T200 7iron this morning at the golf course and it played great. I got fitted recently with the T350. Both with the MT Red irons. Because the MT red irons feels soft, I went with the stiff flex. In my opinion, if you don't like the chunky look of the 350, go with the 200. They are very similar.

Nice comparison video. I have a fitting this coming Thursday and will be hitting both of these irons. Guessing at this time I'll probably go with the 350's due to a little longer. Turning 65 in April and my swing speed isn't what it used to be.
Very happy with my mixed Ping's G400 through G430 iron set. I hit a friends T350 8 iron who had just been fitted by Titleist at our club. I teed it up on the range, hit it only twice and just wow! Mitsubishi Tensei blue stiff shaft. Next level performance compared to the Ping with AWR shafts. Ordered the T350s two days later. I won't part with my 50* G430, G410 PW both graphite shaft and my Titleist SM9 M 56* that have won me a lot of skins.
Execellent review. Would like to see many more off center strikes, high, low, heel ,tow to get a more comprehensive test of forgiveness. Keep up,the great work.
Thanks ronlangfus! Yeah I mean that's a tough one really. I mean in terms of comparing bad strikes. Because even if the strike it 2mm different that's enough to make a big difference, and couple that with a face angle that's 0.5* different and you have completely different results even with the same club. So really you would need a robot to accurately compare the true forgiveness of each model. It's not really fair to compare 2 "high strikes" unless the delivery and strike is identical with each club. But the reality is there really isn't much in these irons at all in forgiveness. Most modern irons are the same, everyone thinks there is a big difference but honestly there really isn't a lot. Even from smaller irons right through to big chunky irons. It will be a lot closer than you think.
Nice comparison. I was fitted into the previous T200 irons a couple months ago and they said I could try the new ones when they came out and just pay the difference if I like them better. I ended up keeping the old ones after trying them back to back. The 2023 T200 irons flew 5 yards lower with 40 degree descent angle vs 45 degrees with the old with 6 irons for me and everything else felt the same.
Yeah it will certainly be interesting to do the new Vs Old. Can't wait to see the results of it. But yeah the old one did pop up a lot. Although 40* to 45* difference is massive so I think a fair bit of that would have been you in all honesty, but definitely wouldn't surprise me if it does peak a little lower. Will find out soon .....
@@epgolfstudios The 2023 T200 iron had the fitter's adapter on it, so the swing weight felt much heavier in the head. That might have had something to do with the height difference as well

I'm gaming the Mizuno pro 225 are in the players distance iron I think everyone agrees on that, the reason is I choose the 225 is best looks, sound, feel, and pretty much all players distance irons have the same performance, unless you get Cobra into mix but Cobras lofts are way out of touch for me, I'd love to see a head to head with I'm sure you've guessed it 2023 T200,P790 and Mizuno pro 225 , in my opinion the older models of P790 ,T200 the sound was horrible if I'm being honest, I think these tests should be on looks, feel , sound! Anyway Thanks man for your Honesty, so far every review of the new T200 the sound is a little better then older model I'm hearing, definitely doesn't make me intrested in trying them!

Love this video and I think for the mid to higher handicapper a blend of 4/5/6/7 in the 350 and then 8/9/PW in the 200 would look awesome in the bag. Hoping for a head to head with the New 200 or 350 vs the new P790. That to me would be an awesome match up 😃👍👍

Thanks bud 👍 and yes again just be careful if you have a lower swing speed I wouldn't be going into the stronger lofted irons in the lower irons, if they launch and spin too low then they won't gap well at all. And you're in luck then because we've just done the new 790 against the T200 😉🙌
@@brodygoalie it would just come down to fitting really, numbers wise. But you are right in a way. I don't think anyone would have to play the 350 in the short irons. The forgiveness is not really any different and most would benefit from more loft in the shorter irons anyway
I’m 6 handicap and play with T300. very happy, and I don’t see any reason to go up to 200/100 just because marketing say “game improvement “ iron is for higher handicap 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks Zig Zag! Unfortunately I haven't gotten to it yet no. As you can probably see I haven't done anything in a while as I've been injured unfortunately. So can't really swing. In all honesty of you were going to go T200 the old model was really good. You probably won't see too much difference in terms of performance from old to new. It would all come down to whether or not buying second hand you could actually get a spec that fitted you.
I’m a senior player aged 69. Swing speed with 7 iron only 67mph. Still 13 handicap. Thoughts on whether the T350 might suit me. Other brands with “HL” models? Many thanks 😊
Maybe silly question, for very high speed players (100mph+ 6 iron), would there be an issue with blending a set of irons with T200 in 5 iron down, and T150 in 6 iron up? Also, for the same type of speed do you almost always fit into 130g+ shafts? Or are there good portion in 120 gram shafts as well?

I have a 80mph swing…I currently play a blended set of the T200 and T150s (I had the prior version T100S and T200s)…I hated the T200 for various reasons…the turf interaction, the sound(terrible)/feel (non existent), and it didn’t seem to blend well with the T100S…the new T200 blends sooooo much better with the T150…there still is a crack to the sound versus the better feeling T150….I’ve had both hips replaced, arthritis in the back, and shoulder issues from a lifetime of ice hockey…The T150s definitely have more pop than the T100S irons from last gen…
I wish folks would stop labeling these clubs "game improvement" because they do nothing to actually improve your game. They are actually score improvement clubs.
I do somewhat agree, most terms when it comes to golf clubs are just heavily oriented around marketing unfortunately, just the way it is. But as you say a club won't necessarily help improve your swing, same as a draw Bias driver won't necessarily help you hit a draw....
Yes and no. I just did fitting for t-200s going through various shafts and heads. I asked about combo bags and if something like a 350 would be considerable for my 4 iron. I hit a couple for fun and although I absolutely love the t-200 the t-350 felt like I was smacking a tub of hot butter. For me it launched way too high (in my opinion) but for someone that has trouble with long irons it could be a valuable asset. "Game improvement" is a positive term to many the same way its slightly negative to you. They want that label because it does launch higher and go longer with less skill. I get it, a good golfer is going to look at the term as loft jacked, big chunky forgiving heads. Well it's true to some degree and some all our perception. I've watched other fittings and there are tour players gaming t-100/150s with 350s in long irons, so there's that 😁
They don't improve your game. Unless you are a senior. The loft jacking is very beneficial to 80mph or less club speed. They are a hindrance to anyone who wishes to really improve ball striking.
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 I would actually say the opposite. They can be more of a hindrance to slower swing speeds. Less loft just equals less launch and less spin. If you have a slower swing speed you need more loft to help create more launch and spin to create more height and more stopping power. The stronger lofted irons for a lot of people just don't get airborne enough creating gapping issues and no stopping power
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 80% of tour players using titelist have mix bags. It's about ball speed and spin rate with gapping their clubs. Use the googler, some have the whole t series in the bag. Mostly 100-150s in p,9,8, and 200s mid range, the rest of the way and some even have the 350 in 5,4,3. You have to know about the clubs before you can judge them. I've got the t-200s and while they may be more "forgiving" than other clubs you don't want an off center strike because you can feel it. Compare that to a fully "game improved" iron where I can toe the snot out of it, 95% of amateurs don't know the difference of that severe toe strike and center face contact because they are so forgiving
Forgiveness is a curious thing. I play some vintage Miura MC irons that should be much less forgiving than other irons I've owned like AP1 or 921 Hot Metal Pro. But I've shot my best scores with the Miuras. Maybe there's something to the playability these scratch players speak of. I wouldn't know what the scratch life is like
Love your videos. I'm stuck. I'm thinking 4/5 in T350 and the rest in T150. I can't seem to make room for the T200; I can't seem to pull the trigger. If the 350 and 200 are delivering the same numbers, then why bother with the 350s? Thoughts? I'm a 5 HC but I'm 66 YO.
Thanks Tom, yes I wouldn't bother with the 350s in that set mate, you will be absolutely fine going T200 in the longer irons and very likely they would be slightly better for you anyway 👍
@@tomfinn2050 no I would combo mate for sure, T150 from 7 up at least or 6 depending how confident you are with long irons. Then T200 in the 4/5/6. There's definitely a benefit of 150s in short irons over 200s for a better player
I got fitted with T350s. I have a 12 index and found them easier to hit than the T200s. I don't think a high handicapper would find the T350 very forgiving. Might be better off with another brand.
Hi I had the Stealths for almost 3 seasons and loved them got about 400 rounds with them with original grips so I sold them lol looking at the Qi irons / PXG Black Ops irons / and the Cobra Darkspeed irons any thoughts or advice ? anyone ? thx cheers from Canada
Hi! So assuming someone’s irons are too long for them, the impact location tends to be where? The shot direction tends to be where? Also, as far as static measuring, do you still do wrist to floor or knuckles to floor? What length would generally constitute going down a 1/4 inch? I know static is not as important as the actual delivery, but as a general guide. Thank you!!
When clubs are too long, tendency is to hit it towards the hill and frequently hitting chunky shot. Tricky part is having the right swing weight even at longer lengths because swing weight increases and most players struggle with consistency when swing weight deviate away from D0 - D2 range.
I would say all of the above is player specific. If you have a very consistent strike miss I rarely find changing length has any effect on it. Sometimes it will but again the will depend on the player and how ingrained the bad swing move is. Give a good player a longer or shorter club they will still middle it. But I definitely agree about the mention of swingweight below, this is probably more important than length really. Really making a 7 iron longer or shorter would only be like picking up your 6 iron or 8 iron ....so if you hit both of those clubs ok then it's almost irrelevant. However it will have a big impact on swingweight. And what will that do? Again player specific. Heavier tends to make more people miss right. I don't static measure it's far more complex than that now. Really looking at the swing and delivery to try and match up traits to the right weight and feel. The very obvious time you go longer or shorter is if someone is mega tall or mega short. But apart from that its pretty open to what works best for the player.

As you mentioned, good ball striker will make any club work for them but from my 25 years of experience and seeing average players swing, longer club is harder to hit for them and misses I “typically” see are hill shots. I will never go longer than I feel I need to unless there is a very specific reason. Shorter clubs are obviously easier to hit right so why would we make all the clubs longer than they need to be? Just making the game header for ourselves and we don't want that! 👍
I swing a 7 iron at around 82 mph. I currently game p7MC I carry it circa 155. I’m a 5 hcp half decent player who’s able to break par. Would you recommend me moving to a T350 or a stealth. I know it may sound silly playing off 5 but I need help with distance now I’m in my mid 40s. 155 just isn’t long enough especially in scratch matches when my opponent is creaming it 180. I can game this & hit it 170 plus. I spin my culture 7 iron at 5-6k.
@@2sqnbandit379 no I wouldn't, yes distance would be better but everything else would be worse (gapping, ball flight, control, miss etc) probably look at a middle ground. P7MC is a short iron (distance wise) so going to something like a T150 would probably pick up a club in distance without sacrificing anything else 👍

Turf interaction & feel was horrible. Didn’t know where I was striking it on the face no feedback. Hated the top line at address couldn’t get on with them. Gapping was outrageous. Flyers off the fairway. I’m going to book a fitting with you T150 with the right shaft.
I'm assuming you mean the MOI of these clubs and therefore how much they will deflect open or closed on mishits and how much effect that will have on shot direction. If so then you would need a robot to see if there actually is any difference between these 2 clubs, a person would never be able to accurately tell. But I can almost guarantee there will be no difference. In terms of overall dispersion that's always more down to face angle at impact which is far more down to me than the clubs. Most modern clubs if you deliver the face pretty square will have pretty decent results even on mishits. But if the face is open or closed then obviously it will go sideways 😂 but that's certainly not the clubs fault!
@@epgolfstudios just seems that t200 performs better because mis hits vs t350 are not that different? Plus it's the better spin rate on t200 to get that ball to stop quicker on the green. How does a fitting get you into the correct angle lie plus for slower swing speed what are the choices in shafts from Titleist. @@brodygoalie mis hits are never really that different in all honesty, throughout every club. "Forgiveness" hardly comes into my fittings as it's mostly marketing. I fit you for the best performance possibly based on loft and head design. Titlesit have quite a few graphite options likes Tensei Red, Fubuki and Recoil. Also lightweight steel like Nippon 850 and AMT Red. So plenty of options 👌
Guess what. Just had a fitting. My g25s performed better in Apex decent angle etc. Spin rate. So now I know my ping G25s red dot senior flex is the best club for me. Your thoughts on this?
No idea 😂 it all comes down to how you swing the club, I don't fit to handicap it's all down to delivery. The only way to find out which gives you the best performance is to go get fitted properly and test them for yourself 👌
80% of amateurs players are playing over 20 handicaps . So this is where the market is point final. Call it game improvement or whatever ….players with T-100 or 150 with a are a fraction of the market. I played with some of them who where taking 3 shots to get out of sand bunker and having a 14 handicap 😅. It’s when they play in a competition that their real score comes out…..94+ My amateur opinion his the T series his a fantastic option for the amateur market….choices of shafts, grips. A combo of T-350 for long irons 5-6-7 and T-200 for 8,9,Pw, All this for matters of bounces, control spin. SW/ LW are a matter of feel, experience , technics, types of golf country clubs ( typical lies -for bounces ) you’re playing on.
I did the 350 in 5 iron and the 200 in 6 and them the rest with the 150's for better gapping with 7,8,9 ,pw, gap. Very happy with the 350, just supper easy to hit!
The takeaway for me is, "It's the wizard, not the wand." Golf clubs are like guitars. Nothing will save you from doing the work. Thanks for the reminder.
Yeah of course you still have to put a good swing on it. There are absolutely no magic wands in golf. The key for us is just giving you the best change to make a good swing, and then when you make a good swing making sure you have the right loft, head design etc to get the best performance numbers for your swing 👌
I’m a 5 hcp gaming a forged Wilson staff blade. I used the t350 for a round abroad and scored so well with them. So why can’t a low hcp use game improvement irons? They are so easy to hit. Plus when I’m usually us in a 7 iron at 155 I can game a 9 iron with these. Should I switch. I think it makes sense. Take the ego out of it definitely does I think.
Well it's not that a low handicap can't play them, I don't really look at clubs fitting into specific handicap ranges, it's more about does the club suit your delivery. Most low handicap players will hit down a lot and take off quite a bit of loft at impact. So the last thing they would want is very strong lofted irons, due to lack of stopping power, lower spin creating bigger misses and bigger front to back dispersion, and the gapping through the bag being a lot worse. But for some lower handicaps who have a bit more of a 'scoopy' delivery, and maybe don't have loads of speed then this player type could possibly get away with playing more of a game improvement style iron. So it's all down to deliver really. You need to weigh up the pros and the cons 👍
@@epgolfstudios yeah my swing speed with a 7 is around 83 mph. I’m getting a bit older now so need a little help. I do prefer a forged traditional lofted in 8-9-PW so I’m think of a mixed bag. Maybe t200 5-7 & t150 8-PW. I don’t like a thick top line in that range.

But yeah in a lot of my tests I won't necessarily touch on that as it's far more me than the clubs, I may mention if I feel any particular club had more of a bias one way or the other which would be useful for people to know. No worries at all Isaac. The flex would be very player specific I would say. Most of the time at that speed I would probably recommend regular unless the had quite a jumpy and quick transition. But the most important thing with irons shafts really is weight. Get that right then worry about flex after 👍
You always have to go get fitted. You should never buy any clubs off the back of a RUclips review. One might be way better for you than the other. Or a completely different brand! The reality is you HAVE to test to find out and get properly fitted 👌
So bottom line. When I hit the green I want the ball to stop as quickly as possible. Based on that what is the best choice. Not concerned about distance. Thanks
I absolutely don’t care at all what any clubs sounds like mostly care how it feels and secondly how it performs. I will play a club that hits 10 yards shorter if it feels better

Much stronger lofts so for quicker players gapping is all over the shop, lower spin so bigger misses, less distance control. Just all round not many positives really
I won't be the only one who could never stand to look down at that chunky block with the massive offset. Yuck! I don't really like the t200 much either, but then I play Mizuno blades so I'm not the target audience.

Great video! I wanted the T200 but when I went to get fitted I ended up inthe T350. The spin and distance was better with the T350
Very happy with my mixed Ping's G400 through G430 iron set. I hit a friends T350 8 iron who had just been fitted by Titleist at our club. I teed it up on the range, hit it only twice and just wow! Mitsubishi Tensei blue stiff shaft. Next level performance compared to the Ping with AWR shafts. Ordered the T350s two days later. I won't part with my 50* G430, G410 PW both graphite shaft and my Titleist SM9 M 56* that have won me a lot of skins.

Thanks ronlangfus! Yeah I mean that's a tough one really. I mean in terms of comparing bad strikes. Because even if the strike it 2mm different that's enough to make a big difference, and couple that with a face angle that's 0.5* different and you have completely different results even with the same club. So really you would need a robot to accurately compare the true forgiveness of each model. It's not really fair to compare 2 "high strikes" unless the delivery and strike is identical with each club. But the reality is there really isn't much in these irons at all in forgiveness. Most modern irons are the same, everyone thinks there is a big difference but honestly there really isn't a lot. Even from smaller irons right through to big chunky irons. It will be a lot closer than you think.
Nice comparison. I was fitted into the previous T200 irons a couple months ago and they said I could try the new ones when they came out and just pay the difference if I like them better. I ended up keeping the old ones after trying them back to back. The 2023 T200 irons flew 5 yards lower with 40 degree descent angle vs 45 degrees with the old with 6 irons for me and everything else felt the same.

Yeah it will certainly be interesting to do the new Vs Old. Can't wait to see the results of it. But yeah the old one did pop up a lot. Although 40* to 45* difference is massive so I think a fair bit of that would have been you in all honesty, but definitely wouldn't surprise me if it does peak a little lower. Will find out soon .....
@@epgolfstudios The 2023 T200 iron had the fitter's adapter on it, so the swing weight felt much heavier in the head. That might have had something to do with the height difference as well

I'm gaming the Mizuno pro 225 are in the players distance iron I think everyone agrees on that, the reason is I choose the 225 is best looks, sound, feel, and pretty much all players distance irons have the same performance, unless you get Cobra into mix but Cobras lofts are way out of touch for me, I'd love to see a head to head with I'm sure you've guessed it 2023 T200,P790 and Mizuno pro 225 , in my opinion the older models of P790 ,T200 the sound was horrible if I'm being honest, I think these tests should be on looks, feel , sound! Anyway Thanks man for your Honesty, so far every review of the new T200 the sound is a little better then older model I'm hearing, definitely doesn't make me intrested in trying them!

I’m 6 handicap and play with T300. very happy, and I don’t see any reason to go up to 200/100 just because marketing say “game improvement “ iron is for higher handicap 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks Zig Zag! Unfortunately I haven't gotten to it yet no. As you can probably see I haven't done anything in a while as I've been injured unfortunately. So can't really swing. In all honesty of you were going to go T200 the old model was really good. You probably won't see too much difference in terms of performance from old to new. It would all come down to whether or not buying second hand you could actually get a spec that fitted you.
I’m a senior player aged 69. Swing speed with 7 iron only 67mph. Still 13 handicap. Thoughts on whether the T350 might suit me. Other brands with “HL” models?

Maybe silly question, for very high speed players (100mph+ 6 iron), would there be an issue with blending a set of irons with T200 in 5 iron down, and T150 in 6 iron up? Also, for the same type of speed do you almost always fit into 130g+ shafts? Or are there good portion in 120 gram shafts as well?
From what I hear they made them all feel pretty similar and look similar so you could do that, go watch titleist video

I have a 80mph swing…I currently play a blended set of the T200 and T150s (I had the prior version T100S and T200s)…I hated the T200 for various reasons…the turf interaction, the sound(terrible)/feel (non existent), and it didn’t seem to blend well with the T100S…the new T200 blends sooooo much better with the T150…there still is a crack to the sound versus the better feeling T150….I’ve had both hips replaced, arthritis in the back, and shoulder issues from a lifetime of ice hockey…The T150s definitely have more pop than the T100S irons from last gen…
I wish folks would stop labeling these clubs "game improvement" because they do nothing to actually improve your game. They are actually score improvement clubs.
I do somewhat agree, most terms when it comes to golf clubs are just heavily oriented around marketing unfortunately, just the way it is. But as you say a club won't necessarily help improve your swing, same as a draw Bias driver won't necessarily help you hit a draw....
Yes and no. I just did fitting for t-200s going through various shafts and heads. I asked about combo bags and if something like a 350 would be considerable for my 4 iron. I hit a couple for fun and although I absolutely love the t-200 the t-350 felt like I was smacking a tub of hot butter. For me it launched way too high (in my opinion) but for someone that has trouble with long irons it could be a valuable asset. "Game improvement" is a positive term to many the same way its slightly negative to you. They want that label because it does launch higher and go longer with less skill. I get it, a good golfer is going to look at the term as loft jacked, big chunky forgiving heads. Well it's true to some degree and some all our perception. I've watched other fittings and there are tour players gaming t-100/150s with 350s in long irons, so there's that 😁
They don't improve your game. Unless you are a senior. The loft jacking is very beneficial to 80mph or less club speed. They are a hindrance to anyone who wishes to really improve ball striking.
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 I would actually say the opposite. They can be more of a hindrance to slower swing speeds. Less loft just equals less launch and less spin. If you have a slower swing speed you need more loft to help create more launch and spin to create more height and more stopping power. The stronger lofted irons for a lot of people just don't get airborne enough creating gapping issues and no stopping power
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 80% of tour players using titelist have mix bags. It's about ball speed and spin rate with gapping their clubs. Use the googler, some have the whole t series in the bag. Mostly 100-150s in p,9,8, and 200s mid range, the rest of the way and some even have the 350 in 5,4,3. You have to know about the clubs before you can judge them. I've got the t-200s and while they may be more "forgiving" than other clubs you don't want an off center strike because you can feel it. Compare that to a fully "game improved" iron where I can toe the snot out of it, 95% of amateurs don't know the difference of that severe toe strike and center face contact because they are so forgiving

Forgiveness is a curious thing. I play some vintage Miura MC irons that should be much less forgiving than other irons I've owned like AP1 or 921 Hot Metal Pro. But I've shot my best scores with the Miuras. Maybe there's something to the playability these scratch players speak of. I wouldn't know what the scratch life is like

Love your videos. I'm stuck. I'm thinking 4/5 in T350 and the rest in T150. I can't seem to make room for the T200; I can't seem to pull the trigger. If the 350 and 200 are delivering the same numbers, then why bother with the 350s? Thoughts? I'm a 5 HC but I'm 66 YO.
Thanks Tom, yes I wouldn't bother with the 350s in that set mate, you will be absolutely fine going T200 in the longer irons and very likely they would be slightly better for you anyway 👍

I got fitted with T350s. I have a 12 index and found them easier to hit than the T200s. I don't think a high handicapper would find the T350 very forgiving. Might be better off with another brand.

Also, as far as static measuring, do you still do wrist to floor or knuckles to floor?
What length would generally constitute going down a 1/4 inch? I know static is not as important as the actual delivery, but as a general guide.

When clubs are too long, tendency is to hit it towards the hill and frequently hitting chunky shot. Tricky part is having the right swing weight even at longer lengths because swing weight increases and most players struggle with consistency when swing weight deviate away from D0 - D2 range.
I would say all of the above is player specific. If you have a very consistent strike miss I rarely find changing length has any effect on it. Sometimes it will but again the will depend on the player and how ingrained the bad swing move is. Give a good player a longer or shorter club they will still middle it. But I definitely agree about the mention of swingweight below, this is probably more important than length really. Really making a 7 iron longer or shorter would only be like picking up your 6 iron or 8 iron ....so if you hit both of those clubs ok then it's almost irrelevant. However it will have a big impact on swingweight. And what will that do? Again player specific. Heavier tends to make more people miss right. I don't static measure it's far more complex than that now. Really looking at the swing and delivery to try and match up traits to the right weight and feel. The very obvious time you go longer or shorter is if someone is mega tall or mega short. But apart from that its pretty open to what works best for the player.

I will never go longer than I feel I need to unless there is a very specific reason. Shorter clubs are obviously easier to hit right so why would we make all the clubs longer than they need to be? I swing a 7 iron at around 82 mph. I currently game p7MC I carry it circa 155. I’m a 5 hcp half decent player who’s able to break par. Would you recommend me moving to a T350 or a stealth. I know it may sound silly playing off 5 but I need help with distance now I’m in my mid 40s. 155 just isn’t long enough especially in scratch matches when my opponent is creaming it 180. I can game this & hit it 170 plus. I spin my culture 7 iron at 5-6k.
@@2sqnbandit379 no I wouldn't, yes distance would be better but everything else would be worse (gapping, ball flight, control, miss etc) probably look at a middle ground. P7MC is a short iron (distance wise) so going to something like a T150 would probably pick up a club in distance without sacrificing anything else 👍

Turf interaction & feel was horrible. Didn’t know where I was striking it on the face no feedback. Hated the top line at address couldn’t get on with them. Gapping was outrageous. Flyers off the fairway. I’m going to book a fitting with you T150 with the right shaft.

I'm assuming you mean the MOI of these clubs and therefore how much they will deflect open or closed on mishits and how much effect that will have on shot direction. If so then you would need a robot to see if there actually is any difference between these 2 clubs, a person would never be able to accurately tell. But I can almost guarantee there will be no difference. In terms of overall dispersion that's always more down to face angle at impact which is far more down to me than the clubs. Most modern clubs if you deliver the face pretty square will have pretty decent results even on mishits. But if the face is open or closed then obviously it will go sideways 😂 but that's certainly not the clubs fault!

How does a fitting get you into the correct angle lie plus for slower swing speed what are the choices in shafts from Titleist. Called senior flex or soft flex for that person in their high 60s of age? Thanks
@@brodygoalie mis hits are never really that different in all honesty, throughout every club. "Forgiveness" hardly comes into my fittings as it's mostly marketing. I fit you for the best performance possibly based on loft and head design. Titlesit have quite a few graphite options likes Tensei Red, Fubuki and Recoil. Also lightweight steel like Nippon 850 and AMT Red. So plenty of options 👌
Guess what. Just had a fitting. My g25s performed better in Apex decent angle etc. Spin rate. So now I know my ping G25s red dot senior flex is the best club for me. Your thoughts on this?

No idea 😂 it all comes down to how you swing the club, I don't fit to handicap it's all down to delivery. The only way to find out which gives you the best performance is to go get fitted properly and test them for yourself 👌

80% of amateurs players are playing over 20 handicaps . So this is where the market is point final. Call it game improvement or whatever ….players with T-100 or 150 with a are a fraction of the market. I played with some of them who where taking 3 shots to get out of sand bunker and having a 14 handicap 😅.

My amateur opinion his the T series his a fantastic option for the amateur market….choices of shafts, grips. A combo of T-350 for long irons 5-6-7 and T-200 for 8,9,Pw, All this for matters of bounces, control spin.
SW/ LW are a matter of feel, experience , technics, types of golf country clubs ( typical lies -for bounces ) you’re playing on.
I did the 350 in 5 iron and the 200 in 6 and them the rest with the 150's for better gapping with 7,8,9 ,pw, gap. Very happy with the 350, just supper easy to hit!

Yeah of course you still have to put a good swing on it. There are absolutely no magic wands in golf. The key for us is just giving you the best change to make a good swing, and then when you make a good swing making sure you have the right loft, head design etc to get the best performance numbers for your swing 👌
I’m a 5 hcp gaming a forged Wilson staff blade. I used the t350 for a round abroad and scored so well with them. So why can’t a low hcp use game improvement irons? They are so easy to hit. Plus when I’m usually us in a 7 iron at 155 I can game a 9 iron with these. Should I switch. I think it makes sense. Take the ego out of it definitely does I think.
Well it's not that a low handicap can't play them, I don't really look at clubs fitting into specific handicap ranges, it's more about does the club suit your delivery. Most low handicap players will hit down a lot and take off quite a bit of loft at impact. So the last thing they would want is very strong lofted irons, due to lack of stopping power, lower spin creating bigger misses and bigger front to back dispersion, and the gapping through the bag being a lot worse. But for some lower handicaps who have a bit more of a 'scoopy' delivery, and maybe don't have loads of speed then this player type could possibly get away with playing more of a game improvement style iron. So it's all down to deliver really. You need to weigh up the pros and the cons 👍
@@epgolfstudios yeah my swing speed with a 7 is around 83 mph. I’m getting a bit older now so need a little help. I do prefer a forged traditional lofted in 8-9-PW so I’m think of a mixed bag. Maybe t200 5-7 & t150 8-PW. I don’t like a thick top line in that range.

Yeah it's the T200 😂 but yes you could get them bent prob 2* weak I would say which would help a little but all depends what you actually need

No worries at all Isaac. The flex would be very player specific I would say. Most of the time at that speed I would probably recommend regular unless the had quite a jumpy and quick transition. But the most important thing with irons shafts really is weight. Get that right then worry about flex after 👍

You always have to go get fitted. You should never buy any clubs off the back of a RUclips review. One might be way better for you than the other. Or a completely different brand! The reality is you HAVE to test to find out and get properly fitted 👌
So bottom line. When I hit the green I want the ball to stop as quickly as possible. Based on that what is the best choice. Not concerned about distance. Thanks
