I play off 4, was fitted by Titleist here in Scotland last month and went with the T100s W-5 and a T200 4 iron. Still waiting and can’t wait to get them
Originally ordered a 4-P set of T100s irons but just yesterday swapped the 4 and 5 for T200 for the exact reason described. Thanks for the videos, you guys are killing it because you focus on the consumer and deliver info in a non-biased manner.
I ordered 6-7 in T100S 1 weak and 8-GW in T100. Kind of wish I'd have gone T100S 1 weak all the way down to 9i and gone T100 in PW and 50. T200 was great too I just don't use long irons and that's what I'd be interested in them for.
I got fit today at Titleist's National fitting center north of Toronto. My result, because I only want 6 irons, in order to get another hybrid is: - T100S Gap Wedge 48 - bent to 47 - T100S 9-iron 40 - bent to 41 - T100S 8-iron 36 - T200 7-iron 31 - T200 6-iron 28 - bent to 27 - T200 4-iron 22 - bent to 23 Thus lofts are (47, 41, 36, 31, 27, 23). The shaft was KBS Money Taper Lite in Stiff - gave me a ball speed of 118-120 with 170 carry on the 7-iron. I don't have the highest swing speed @ 82mph 7-iron, but I'm a massive shaft leaner so launch was the issue - I was 19-degrees dynamic loft with 1.43 smash factor with the 31-32-degree T100S/T200 7-irons - so we went with the highest launch setup shaft & head. Had a long conversation with the Titleist Canada guy and I questioned him about the small size of the T100s in comparison to my older AP2s - and he basically said, we want to give no Tour player any reason to play the CBs - almost sounds like the CB is not long for this world. If the Tour guys don't want blades, they want them all in the T100. He said the younger College kids that have grown up with stronger lofts will play the T100s
@@wallstreetoneil I went c taper stiff at 110 gram. My srixon z585 are projectx rifle. My srixon short irons are actually slightly weaker lofted. Once you get to 7i they match up to the t100s
@@donkee9 I also did the C-taper lite 110 shafts. Actually haven’t had the chance to hit them but it’s a shaft that has worked great for me in every other head so I’m sure it’ll be great.
I played the T-100’s since day one and loved them but the new T-200 has been a game changer!!!! I am 52 years old and with the T-200’s I feel like I can stay within a good rhythm and never feel like I have to jump on it. I am a 3 handicap and won’t look back!!!! Don’t let the ego get in the way of making the change :)
Was fit at TXG last weekend, historic titleist fanboy, every intention on getting away from them, and wouldn't you know it T200/T100S combo edged out ZX5/7. I intended to order them today.. I have T200 4-6 planned and 7-GW in T100S... This video has given me a little pause, as I am a 13 HCP, however because my Driver plays to a 25 and my iron play is more single digit. I'm sticking with the order. May feel the need to change the 7 iron over in the future, but even hitting the 100S in 6 iron only.... The feel was far and away more pleasing. Can't wait to own these very expensive irons haha.
Just got fit a week ago by a Titleist rep: U 505 1 iron T200 3-5 iron T100s 6-PW Couldn't be happier!! Brought my sky high ball flight down into a much better window paired w/ Left Dash Pro V1x. Went from an 8 to a solid 4 with these beauties. Thanks for the great vid guys!!
Great review as always fellas! You both are really good at focusing on us the consumer! I bought a set of T-100 4-G i struggle with the 5,4 irons so i am switching them out for the T-200s can’t wait to get them. The T-100 are a great feeling iron just make sure you strike them in the middle lol. I play currently at a 10.6 handicap.
I did a fitting with Titleist and tested the T100s, T200, and T300. I'm a 15 handicap with my sights set on 12. I hit both the T100s and T200s well and opted for the T200s due to the added forgiveness and the a bit of distance. I can't wait for them to arrive. Been playing my DCI 762s for 20 years! I went with the Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 Tour 120s.
Awesome! I just went into the prior generation T200 from the DCI 762 back in March! I thought I was the only person still playing those old DCIs I got handed down 🤣 you will love the T200. I find them comparable in size to the DCI. You should have no problem getting down to a 12. I went from a 12.5 to 11 since getting fit for a whole new bag!
Micah Morris (from Good Good) just had an iron fitting at Stripeshow fitters, and it came down to choosing between the ZX7 and T100 based on his fitting numbers. Those two were the most consistent between TaylorMade, Mizuno, Callaway, Srixon, and Titliest.
@@josephhawkins6218 did you test the Apex Pro’s by chance? Wondering how the distance and spin stacked up against the T100S. I can’t strike the v-sole from Srixon consistently. Which is unfortunate because when I owned the 785’s the were the best irons I ever hit when I hit them solid, and I hear the ZX7 is much improved. But I hit the new T100S and absolutely loved them, felt like I couldn’t miss. Problem is, I have a new set of Apex Pro 21’s coming because Callaway was kind enough to do an RA swap for my X-Forged that I ordered last fall at no charge. So I’m wondering if I sell them new and then buy T100S or if the numbers are close enough to the T100S that I can just play them and be happy.
I was in your shop this week for an iron and driver fitting. We compared 4 different irons and the end winning result was T200/T100S combo set. Just need to find the $$ to place an order. I truly enjoyed the TXG experience and will be back.
Just tested a variety of irons at Club Champion and landed on 4-PW T100s. I’m a 9 handicap and these seemed to fit perfectly, while giving me a club to grow into as well. Super responsive and solid. I was actually more consistent with them over the 200s. I’m huge on aesthetics and the T200 is significantly bulkier, especially on the bottom heel. I wanted to go with Taylormade P770 but can’t get over the injected foam, regardless of performance. Weird I know. Excited for the T100s.
There's nothing weird about not wanting foam injected into your irons. I went with the T100 a few months back and it's probably the best decision on equipment I've made in the last 15 years.
@@mikeabel7577 Same here! I just can't get past having foam in my iron head or having a hollow body. I am soooo close to going to a full set of T100s. Been experimenting with the 4 iron for a couple months and it is so solid.
I love watching this.... So far I've been endlessly watching as many reviews as I can while I'm waiting for Santa Titleist to bring me my early Christmas present order... I just get a huge sense of happiness when I hear you guys saying that a good set would be a 4&5 iron in the t200 irons with the rest being in the t100s irons from 6 to gap wedge, as that is exactly what I've ordered after my visit to the National Fitting Centre at North Berwick in early September... These irons as well as a Tsi3 Driver, U505 1&3 irons with the Vokey SM8 wedges in 54 & 60 will be with me over the next few weeks then hopefully I can get out and hit them all myself instead of watching you guys hit them with extrene jealousy. I'm currently at a handicap of 11 but hoping these will help me get back in to single figures after many swing changes due to my last clubs being fit when I was 8 stone heavier and now this fitting at Titleist has shown me that my new set up is far from my old one, so hopefully a lot more consistency heading into the future. Thanks guys though, as I love watching all you videos here in the UK. P.S. I now call my son Matthew 'Matty Boy'.. haha.
Couple of days ago I was fitted with t100s 4-pw with ns modus shafts. 11 hcp and first ever fitting for me. Choose these over the apex pros for the butter face feeling on a good strike. Nice high launch (which I needed because I tend to be on the low side) and low spin. 7 iron went 170 yds spinning around 5000rp Cant wait to get these on the course!
I tested the full new range at a titleist fitting. I had very similar results to what you guys found here. The only thing you didn't mention... there is quite a different sound between them. That doesn't make a huge difference to me as both sounded better than my current irons (ping g30), but might be a consideration for others. I ended up ordering the 200 irons mainly because I did find the 100s slightly more intimidating to look down at, especially in the longer irons.
Just had my fitting yesterday. Going with 4-6 in the T200 and 7-PW in the T100s. A completely different feel like what was said in the video and feel the mix is beneficial to my game.
I’m late because I hate trading irons! Went from 716cb’s to the T200’s… they are a little bigger, but I don’t mind the sound. They aren’t so”hot” that you can’t control them. Went for a lighter shaft, & I’m happy so far. 2 rounds in so far, 78 & 76, the same scores I normally shoot, but hoping to drop em down once the new sticks get broke in. Great vid as always!!
56 years old and have gone for the T200 5 iron to GW, U505 4 iron, TSR 3 Hybrid TSR 3&5 Woods and TSR2 Driver plus of course 2 Vokey wedges and love this bag can change it up a little depending on where I'm playing.
Got fit by Titleist for T100S. On the day I shot my best round ever at my home course and dropped my handicap to 5.8 I bought the clubs 4i-48. I was playing a combo set of 716 MB/CB/T-MB. This is my first set of strong lofted irons. I’ve only played one round so far and I’m still tweaking the lie angles and my bag setup. I’ve had to go to two Vokeys and dropped the SW and strengthened a LW to 57. I love the higher launch and ball speed, which is what I was looking for in the change. Hoping to see a consistent 12+ GIR with the new irons.
Fast forward a couple years and I just watched a video of Ian getting fit for T series irons and it ended up being the T150 6-PW, the T200 in the 5 iron and then a U505 3 iron as a driving iron. You've got a little bit more speed than I do, so I feel pretty good about my set of T200's that I just picked up.
I have T100S PW-7 and T200 6-3. Both Iron models are awesome. Soft feel and shot shaping is great. I’ve had these for about a month. Before that I played the old DCI 981s.
I did the exact same thing. I'm a 1 hc and I still leaned towards the full set of t200 because my ball striking can be spotty at times. They have shipped and cant wait for them to arrive as well.
Just ordered a T200 (6-PW) & T300 (4,5) LH combo set. 11.5 hcp. Opted for the extra forgiveness of the T300 in the long irons. Only Matty-boy gets lefty T-series clubs before October!
Thanks for a great video guys. Had fitting done yesterday (not seen this test), came out 4,5,6 T200 and 7-PW in T100s. Combining is just such a great option.
Went for fitting and hit t200s, 770, 790s, and Apex irons. T200 definitely performed the best, didn't sound great but felt really good. 770/790's were actually quite disappointing didn't feel or sound as good as they looked. Ordered the t200s because they had good turf interaction and they are a good blend of forgiveness and workability with a compact shape. The muscle plate on the back I was not fond of upon first release of the photos but it quickly grew on me.
I'm a 10index player. And I just ordered 5iron-AW of T100S, and went with the T200 for my 4 iron! Can't wait to get them in! (PS: Mid size grips with triple wraps!!!)
Hcp 1.5. Just ordered the T100s and it was really not by choice I was forced by the club. I tried it on 3 different occasions 1 week apart just to make sure I wasn’t getting that good day bias going and I’m still just stunned. They give me similar numbers to my zx7 but with less deviation on spin and distance and I personally like the look a bit more. Less off set thinner top line and it just frames the ball beautifully at address. On the 3rd test I put them against mp20’s and jpx 921 tour and same thing it just stands out in feel and consistency in a way to where I couldn’t not get them even though my zx7’s work fine. I never thought a titleist would get me to stray from Mizuno / Srixon but they did and for me personally the results and feel we’re just undeniable.
Love your videos guys. Just ordered a mixed set. T100s 6iron > GW. T200 5iron. Both with True Temper AMT Tour White. Can't wait for the new season now.
Here’s my combo: T100S 8-GW at standard lofts, T200 6/7 (7 bent 1 weak to 32, 6 at standard 28), T300 5 iron bent 1 weak to 24. Then a utility iron. Gets me 4 degree gapping all way through, which helps me avoid gaps narrowing at the long end since I swing my 7 iron 82-83mph. Plus tons of forgiveness on the long/mid end, less where I don’t need it.
Another accurate video... I have T100s (4i-PW) & T200 (4-5i) which I mix up occasionally. I agree with all your observations. I prefer the extra feel, sweet spot, and sound of the T100s (T200 sounds very clicky), though do appreciate the extra speed/launch of the T200 occasionally. Keep up the great work! (for reference, I play scratch)
You’re totally right on with your comment. I haven’t hit the T100s yet but I have hit the T200 and did hear the clicky sound but it felt soft and was such a great ball flight…3 hdcp
Cool test. Just waiting on my t100s to deliver. Hate that it takes 2 months to receive the irons. At least I hope it will only be 2 months. Heard some horror stories of dates constantly changing.
Playing the previous generation of T series in a combo set of 7-PW in T100S and 6-4 in T200. Just Ordered a full set of new T200 based on a recent Titleist fitting where I was getting better ball speed, dispersion and descent angle with the full set of new T200. Anxious to give them a try when the arrive. Keeping my current T series combo set handy just in case as I really like them.
Mine just arrived this week; T100s W - 7 & T200 6 - 4 (W 1deg weak). Handicap +1 Initial thoughts both look great, T100s have amazing feel & feedback, T200 a tiny bit clickyer but much better on course than range. Both seem easier to hit and have distance gains (but still predictable) over my old 716AP2. Really pleased so far👍
Hi Adam .. in the market for new irons and play titleist 718 mb 6.5 rifle ,off 1 Just wondering what are your feeling now having played with your irons for a while . Very limited to getting good fitters in Ireland , once fitted into a regular shaft by so called ping expert. Many thanks
@@shanemcqullian3987 Hi Shane, irons are great unlike my swing 😂 T200’s give that extra bit of forgiveness and launch which I like (getting a bit older) and blend seamlessly into the T100S’s (which have better feel). If your playing MB’s you must be a great ball striker, but if your looking for a little extra help either of these or a blend could be for you.
I’m looking forward to the possibility of episodes in future of TXG top fit performers for 2021, what clicked the boxes from the in house/virtual fits, despite the challenges 2021 has presented. 👍
T100S seems very similar in design to Ping iBlade and i210 with regard to that pocket of polymer behind the face. It would be interesting to compare those 3 in similar lofts.
T100s head maybe too small for me, looking a mixed fitting for T200 and 4,5 and maybe 6 in T300. I currently have AP3's and have been struggling of late with the 4 and 5. (I am getting old I guess) Thoughts on this bag mix? looking at getting fit over the off season.
Thanks for the T200 review. Other than the sound off the club face, the differences didn’t seem significant between T100s and T200. Two different ways to get to the same point. I understand that forgiveness will be greater in the T200. To a ball striker like Ian, that won’t show in the video. Maybe have your mid-handicap golfer hit both and the differences will be revealed more drastically.
I play off a 6, had the Srixon Z-forged blades, loved them, but wanted a bit more forgiveness for my many dodgy strikes. Moved into previous model T-100S thinking the tech, weight etc. would help. I personally found them to be less forgiving with a slightly smaller head and certainly not as soft but all round a very solid iron when struck. Looking or more forgiveness still but am not a huge fan of the T200's, thinking P-770's. Would very much appreciate some cross-brand comparisons. Thanks for the great content!
I haven’t tried the new ones, but I have the old T200. I think a more equal comparison would be P790, ZX5, and regular Apex based on size, loft, and technology in each iron. But I agree that testing/comparing across the brands would be worth seeing
Great review as always Ian and Matty!. I'm a 8 handicap and had a fitting a couple of days ago testing all the irons in this category. I narrowed my favorites by sound, feel and numbers to the T100s and TM P790`s. If I'm honest I was really looking forward to hitting the T200`s but was very disappointed with the sound off the clubface and dont think this is mentioned enough in reviews but the cover on the back is simply awful! (sorry if you have bought these no offence) For a top brand to put something that sounds and feels like cheap plastic I find unusual and long term I would worry about this coming loose. The T100s felt so much better and the sound is fantastic. They were my pic as they look amazing behind the ball too with a much more compact top line. I was surprised how forgiving these irons were as they are well within the players category. I've kept my order simple 4-PW all T100s and cant wait for them to arrive!.
I tested these at a titleist fitting as well. Did not like the feel or sound of the t200. The t100s was spec’d for me. I liked the sound and feel best!
Lads, love the videos first off. THE best on RUclips by far. Second, I know this isn’t the topic of this video but can we see a review of cobras snakebite wedges. Very hard to find any DECENT content anywhere on them. Cheers boys! 🤙🏼🏌️
I haven’t tried the new series, but I was fit into and play the prior T200 and am down to an 11 HCP when I was about a 12.5 when I got them. I feel they do a good job protecting my mishits, which the prior T100s didn’t do as well. Recently, I made my own blended set. I wanted better feel in the short irons and went for Miura CB 301 in 7-PW and kept T200 for 4-6. I had the Miura’s bent a degree strong since I have a shallow swing and to gap my lofts. I have found the Miuras to be comparable in distance and even longer and higher flying than the T200. The biggest difference is the 7 iron where the T200 can reach a higher ball speed, but the Miura are much more consistently at the same number where the T200 have a larger dispersion
The shaft was the 100gram KBS Money Taper Lite in Stiff - gave me a ball speed of 118-120 with 170 carry on the 7-iron. If the Tour guys don't want blades, they want them all in the T100. He said the younger College kids that have grown up with stronger lofts will play the T100s
I bought the old 100S and 200 last year. I broke the set at 6 going with T200 for 6 and 5 weakened a degree (I carry a 4 and 3 hybrid). I'm exited to test the new models. If I get the model, I anticipate I will again get the T200 for the 6 and 5 iron. I shouldn't have to tweak the lofts however this time.
After I tried the stock T100S on course, I immediately decided to keep it and trade in my MP20 MMC. So much better strike, launch and spin. I think if I get fitted for T100S, it would perform even better!
Thanks. Great review, as always!!! Just a minor remark. From 7 to PW there is one degree of loft difference. Already hit the 3, T100. T100S and T200, non fitted. Love T100S both performance, looks and feel, disregard T100 base on performance (too spinny and short for me) and really like forgiveness in T200 but feel was not that good. Considering combo 4, 5 T200; 6-PW T100S. Hcp 0.9 but not great ball striker
Got T200 fitted (currently using AP1 2018 with KBS 4-PW) here in Bay Area. Felt comfortable, however went with 4 hybrid stock shaft/5-PW again with KBS C-Tamper. due to 6 week lead-time will provide more feedback once they are in my hand.
It would be good to see a full set of data on these clubs! Say 20 shots with each and leave all shots in! Depending on what you want will determine forgiveness verses dispersion! Top show lads!
I'm a 4 hcp. I ordered 5-GW in T200, but I had the lofts adjusted so that there is 4 deg separation between each. So 5 iron is 24 deg through 48 deg GW. I tried both T200 and T100s at my fitting, and for me T200 gave about 2-3 mph more ball speed while feeling more forgiving in the 6 iron. The T200 doesn't look like any bigger of a head than the 716 AP2s I'm coming from, so the looks didn't bother me at all.
I'm a six handicap and original did a split set of the old model (2019) T100S (PW thru 8) and T200 (7 thru 4). I found that the older models had quite a difference in offset and looks so wasn't as comfortable going between the two models. I ended up getting the T100S 7 thru 5 irons, and U500 4 iron. I found that I was more consistent using irons with similar offset and toplines through the bag. However, this was with the older model T200, I understand that the newer model has reduced offset and topline so might be easier to combo with the T100S.
Great video guys, always good to see a side by side with as few variables as possible (aka Ian a good golfer). It would have been fun to see Matt hit a few righty, T100S = hosel rocket, T200 = maybe hit the fairway? Joke, Matt’s probably better than most regular right handers!
First, Thank you for such a great quality and informative videos on your channel. I currently bounce between 6-7 index. I got fitted in California over the last week and just ordered 5 thru gap of T100S with the AMT S300 White shafts. I picked 100s easily, but spent a great deal of time on shafts since I have been playing original AP2's (2008) with TT DG 105 shafts for a long time. I'm just very used to them including the height (High) but probably does hurt me into the wind. My Ball Speed averaged 121 on 7 iron on the 100S's. Descent angle 48.6 degrees, avg carry 181yards and peak height juuust a hint under 39yards. They seemed to think these were good numbers Appreciate any thoughts.
I was fitted recently. I’m a mid handicap currently playing 919 forged. I tried the t100s and t200. I was surprisingly more consistent with the t100s. I also preferred the feel and the sound from the t100s. Very stable with a project x 6.0. Ordered 5-PW t100s while still keeping a 4 hybrid in the bag
12. Surprisingly I was getting low spin (comparable to a game improvement iron!) with good launch and a steep descent with the t100s. This is a good combo for me as I play on a windy course. The feedback from them is amazing as they are fully forged. I felt that although the t200 is packed with tech, simply having only a forged face didn’t give the same feel. I don’t agree that the T100 is applicable for only a certain group of low handicappers. I believe it is appropriate for golfers who are the type that want to improve, are dedicated, want a prestige product, take lessons and live and breathe golf. Although important, fittings are more than handicaps and launch monitor figures. Feel, appearance, turf interaction are very salient points as well 👍🏻
@@peterbaldwin690 I’m a 11 and Ian had me ready to just toss the idea of the 100s to the bin. Thanks, I will definitely try them now, he acted IMO as if they were like hitting blades. Thanks for the great info!!
@@jggolf4033 you’re welcome. They are definitely not like hitting a blade. They have a nice cavity at the back which gives quite a lot of forgiveness. Yes, they are smaller and more compact, but that’s something that I like. You won’t be disappointed. Good luck
Got fitted to Mizuno MP20 MMC (but not stock for 4 months!) New Titleist were not out yet, so did not order yet. Very curious in the MMC's compared against the nearest Titleist equivalent.
The spin seems much higher on the T200 vs the P790, so I'd expect it to fall closer to the P770. Having said that, I cannot recommend the P790s highly enough to anyone. I've dropped 4 strokes this summer (15.6 -> 11.6) gaming them.
@@prendeville I’m sure they’re great. I have friends who love theirs too (prior gen) including my friend who I sold my set to. Unfortunately for me, I’m one of those players who wants the extra distance and forgiveness of a hollow body iron, but cannot get along with larger soles due to my shallow attack angle. My contact is more consistent with my MP32’s than both Apex and P790. But when I hit those P790’s solid, I drooled over the numbers they produce. Just can’t hit them consistently. Figuring Apex Pro 21 and T100s are my best bet. Would love to see that comparison vid.
@@kaisersoze6685 From testing both the T100s and the Apex pro 21, the Apex went further, higher and with less spin than the T100s, just not as nice feeling. For what it's worth, I never hit the P790 but did play a a single round with the P770, I'd say I'd take the Apex over the P770 just in feel alone since I would think that they both are probably equally forgiving. If the T100s are a little out of your comfort zone and need a bit more help, the Apex, P770 and T200 are right in that sweat spot. I didn't hit the T200 very much as I didn't really like the feel off the club face so I didn't do much testing with them, but I would say the Apex are just a half step behind the T100s and take them over the P770 or T200.
@@kaisersoze6685 I’ve had had the prior gen t100s and got fitted to the p770s or P7mc prior to apex 21 pro release. I didn’t pull the trigger on the p770s and when the alex came out I just got those. One thing I can tell you if you don’t like it is that for me personally the apex has a bit too much offset for the kind of iron that it is. I love how they feel and I feel like I’m getting distance and forgiveness but my miss with it is just so far left. But if you don’t have that issue the apex pros are some beasts and give you everything you would want. The t100s I also had no complaints I think best forgiving players club for thin shots I got rid of mine because it was a combo set and did not like t200.
Great video, love Titleist's new lineup. Can you do a comparison video between Ping i59, T100, and any other irons that would fall into the better player category? Looking to get a new set this year and move on from my Nike Vapor Pros and get some additional launch.
2 hdcp playing T100s great irons. Played 718 MB beforehand very similar in feel. Would recommend T200 combo 5 and 4 irons just for little help if needed.
Torn between T100 vs JPX 921 SEL. Fitted into the 921 w/ KBS C-Taper 120 but tested the previous gen t100 with stock AMT shafts and it was feeling like butter. would love to see a comparison between the 921 and new T100.
9 Index, Went with Mizuno Tour over T100s... Saw a t100 with my shaft on Managers special 3 weeks after getting delivery of the Tours and now I have both... Both are fantastic clubs. Do I need both.. nope. Will I sell one set.. no chance :D
Hi guys! As always, great content. I went to a fitting, and the results between the JPX921 Forged and Titleist T200 were very similar (to me, anyways). What are your take between those two clubs? I tested the JPX with a TT DG 120 x100 and the T200 with the ProjectX LZ 6.5. Both 1/2 inch over standard. Thanks fellas!
I demoed both before purchasing the t200’s. My decision was based on looks and the new 21’ 790s have a tendency to get flyers like the old apex irons. The t200 had better distance consistency for me. The new 790s would get a ball too hot sometimes and add 5-10 yards unexpected
Hitting T100 6-P and T200 4-5 (lofted up 1degree). T200 more for a bit of forgiveness in the longer clubs. They go dead straight but can work them when needed. Distance control on both is awesome.
Went in to get fitted for P790s or 770s last week, came out with the titleist 100s, loved them, handicap 10, dispersion rate was so good
I play off 4, was fitted by Titleist here in Scotland last month and went with the T100s W-5 and a T200 4 iron. Still waiting and can’t wait to get them
Where abouts in Scotland did u get fit
@@ryanconnor8886 at my club, Stirling Golf Club. Our pro is good friends with one of the top titleist fitters so gets him in every now and then
Originally ordered a 4-P set of T100s irons but just yesterday swapped the 4 and 5 for T200 for the exact reason described. Thanks for the videos, you guys are killing it because you focus on the consumer and deliver info in a non-biased manner.
I ordered the exact same set up
I ordered 6-7 in T100S 1 weak and 8-GW in T100. Kind of wish I'd have gone T100S 1 weak all the way down to 9i and gone T100 in PW and 50. T200 was great too I just don't use long irons and that's what I'd be interested in them for.
I got fit today at Titleist's National fitting center north of Toronto. My result, because I only want 6 irons, in order to get another hybrid is:
- T100S Gap Wedge 48 - bent to 47
- T100S 9-iron 40 - bent to 41
- T100S 8-iron 36
- T200 7-iron 31
- T200 6-iron 28 - bent to 27
- T200 4-iron 22 - bent to 23
Thus lofts are (47, 41, 36, 31, 27, 23).
How does the feel and sound between the two models compare?
Just got fit a week ago by a Titleist rep:
U 505 1 iron
T200 3-5 iron
T100s 6-PW
Couldn't be happier!!
Great job as always. Would love to see the T100s vs ZX7 test!
P.S. I now call my son Matthew 'Matty Boy'.. haha.
how are you liking the setup now? Thinking of going 4-5 T200 6-PW
Got fit for the t200 2 months ago, still waiting to receive them, but loved them on the day 😍
Play off 10 and went for the 4-pw and the u505 2iron
Couple of days ago I was fitted with t100s 4-pw with ns modus shafts. 11 hcp and first ever fitting for me. Choose these over the apex pros for the butter face feeling on a good strike. Nice high launch (which I needed because I tend to be on the low side) and low spin. 7 iron went 170 yds spinning around 5000rp
Cant wait to get these on the course!
V curious to know your thoughts on the new P790 vs P770, & comparing those to the Titleist offerings. Good review as always👍
was fitted for T100 6-P and 4 and 5 irons T200. all 2 degrees flat. I cant wait to get them!
56 years old and have gone for the T200 5 iron to GW, U505 4 iron, TSR 3 Hybrid TSR 3&5 Woods and TSR2 Driver plus of course 2 Vokey wedges and love this bag can change it up a little depending on where I'm playing.
Got myself T100s about a year and a half ago and have been loving them.
I play off 9 and I got fitted for the T100s PW-5 and then the T200 4 iron. I can't wait to get them in the bag and play with them!
I have T100S PW-7 and T200 6-3. Both Iron models are awesome. Soft feel and shot shaping is great. I’ve had these for about a month. Before that I played the old DCI 981s.
how are you liking the setup now? Thinking of going 4-5 T200 6-PW
Did the Monday sessions stop? Sad if they did. I learned a lot and joined so I could ask some questions.
Great video! I got fitted into a T100S / T200 combo. But, I recently changed my order to all T200. Can’t wait for them to arrive. ⛳️
I did the exact same thing. I'm a 1 hc and I still leaned towards the full set of t200 because my ball striking can be spotty at times. They have shipped and cant wait for them to arrive as well.

How did the feel and sound compare?
Thanks and great video guys. Ordered my combo of these and still eagerly waiting for them 4i T200 and 5-GW in the T100S. Cannot wait!!
Combining is just such a great option.
the stock t200 set is a combo already with more cavity from 4 to 7 iron and a more blade look from 8 to wedges
The muscle plate on the back I was not fond of upon first release of the photos but it quickly grew on me.
t200s
Love that you guys are splitting mat time. Good way for Ian to work on his own swing too with Matt watching.
Wow this was eye opening. I didn't realize how different these would be!
I've been waiting for this one! Thanks guys!
Mine just arrived this week; T100s W - 7 & T200 6 - 4 (W 1deg weak). Handicap +1
Initial thoughts both look great, T100s have amazing feel & feedback, T200 a tiny bit clickyer but much better on course than range. Both seem easier to hit and have distance gains (but still predictable) over my old 716AP2.
Really pleased so far👍
Hi Adam ..
in the market for new irons and play titleist 718 mb 6.5 rifle ,off 1
Just wondering what are your feeling now having played with your irons for a while .
Very limited to getting good fitters in Ireland , once fitted into a regular shaft by so called ping expert. Many thanks
@@shanemcqullian3987
Hi Shane, irons are great unlike my swing 😂 T200’s give that extra bit of forgiveness and launch which I like (getting a bit older) and blend seamlessly into the T100S’s (which have better feel).
This was exactly the test I was looking for. Perfect thank you.
Long time 4-6 hdcp. Haven't played in 3 years, but will be playing a little beginning next year. Ordered 5 & 6 T200 and 100S 7-GW a few weeks ago
I’ve gone t100s pw-7 iron and t200 6/5/4 should be here in two weeks can’t wait 💪🏌️♂️
I'd be interested in hearing about a bag mix like this too!
Would love to see some cross manufacturer testing since my Mizuno 900 Hot Metals are due to be switched out and T200 is a contender.
Coming in for a fitting with you guys in October and these are 2 I'm really looking at.
Just bought the new T100s, I’m a 5 handicap, steelfiber I95 s shaft… awesome clubs
13.4 hdcp. Looking at the t200’s would love to see a vid on how they compare to other brands in the same hdcp range. IE 770, zx7, apex pro
I think the cover looks pretty cool but I agree on the sound
Just getting back into the game, but played at 2.5 at my best. Now probably 6-7. Fitted for T100s P-6, T200 5 and 4.
I tested these at a titleist fitting as well. Did not like the feel or sound of the t200. The t100s was spec’d for me. I liked the sound and feel best!
What about the actual hitting result?
@@jackyzeng2171 I hit the t100s better, furthering, straighter and tighter dispersion. The t 200 just didn't work with my swing.
@@robmonthie9948 sounds cool to me, I have a set of t100s and I love it. But never have a chance to compare with T200. Thanks for the comment.cheers
I have the old T200's (2019 version) and I am really thinking about upgrading to the current T200's and also testing out the P770's/P790s.
I have the old T200s too and the same name as you. Did we just become best friends?
Will test the T100S in a week, can't wait to see how they perform with a custom fitting
Great comparison video!. I am thinking either T200 or the Apex. If you guys can compare that would be great!
Wow. Ian the consistency with the T100s was awesome. New gamer ?
I'm playing at a 0 handicap atm, using the t100s 4 through pw and t200 for my 3 iron, I absolutely love the new irons,
I got fit today at Titleist's National fitting center north of Toronto.
The shaft was the 100gram KBS Money Taper Lite in Stiff - gave me a ball speed of 118-120 with 170 carry on the 7-iron.
I would love to see the cross brand comparisons. Also really looking for a non S T100 video. Thanks guys!
T200 vs P790s its a video I´ll love to watch.
I think they adjusted the irons so they match with regard to loft
HCP 12.7 and was fitted for T100 TT AMT RED the fitter was focus on the spin and descend angle to the green and T200 for 5i.
I would love to see a P790/P770/T200 comparison. Just to see where the T200 falls in comparison to those.
It would be good to see a full set of data on these clubs! Say 20 shots with each and leave all shots in! Depending on what you want will determine forgiveness verses dispersion! Top show lads!
Would love to see comparison from T200 vs P790 Thanks guys love your content!
I feel like that polymer back plate will just peel off in the Florida summer heat? Thoughts on that?
Would love to see an old T200 vs new T200 comparison.
What a golf swing that is! 👏
What’s your handicap?
Good luck
@@peterbaldwin690 Thanks for the feedback!👍
Got fitted to Mizuno MP20 MMC (but not stock for 4 months!) New Titleist were not out yet, so did not order yet. Very curious in the MMC's compared against the nearest Titleist equivalent.
Nice to see Ian hitting plenty of shots this week!
T100S vs Apex Pro vs ZX7 sounds like a perfect test to me. T200 seems more like a P770/790 comparison.
Agreed. Would love to see T200 vs. P790.
I'm between a +1.3-0.9 in the past year and I was fitted into T100s 4-9 with Modus 120S shafts. My driver swing is in the low 100s.
Been waiting for this one!!!
Were tou guys using the stock shafts in these?? Amt white in 100s and amt black in 200? Of did you use same shaft in both heads
Excellent presentation. Have you ever thought about an evaluation of the best clubs & golf ball for For women who’s swing speeds much slower?
I'd love to see both Ian and righty Matt do a T200 vs P790 test so we can see how they compare for different speed swings.
I demoed both before purchasing the t200’s. My decision was based on looks and the new 21’ 790s have a tendency to get flyers like the old apex irons. The t200 had better distance consistency for me. The new 790s would get a ball too hot sometimes and add 5-10 yards unexpected
The t100s is going in my bag soon. Hope the longer irons aren't too hard to hit. Only demoed the 7 iron, so....
Would love to see T100S vs ZX7 vs Apex Pro and T200 vs ZX5 vs Apex
Hitting T100 6-P and T200 4-5 (lofted up 1degree). T200 more for a bit of forgiveness in the longer clubs. They go dead straight but can work them when needed. Distance control on both is awesome.
Great review dudes
