- Today, Ian and Mikey are joined by Martin Chuck from the Tour Striker Golf Academy. Martin is one of the top instructors in the world and today he gives Mikey the parameters to gain serious speed.
Although a great majority of golfers think that in order to get a faster swing speed with their driver they need to swing harder. Martin shows off that many players have more in the tank than they recognize and utilizes his teaching skills that he uses daily by taking Mikey through a lesson to learn how to unleash serious speed.

Martin is a gem. Makes understanding golf a little easier.
Addressing the ball with the driver in the air then placing on the ground was an eye opener. It's crazy how something so simple can affect the golf swing. So many great tips in this video!
This point alone would probably correct face-path issues for a majority of golfers. WHY isn't it addressed when players first take up the game? Of course a clue like this might cost coaches/teachers a few lessons! ;-)
Please 🙏 make Martin a regular on your channel. Hands down one of the best explanations and instruction I've seen in a long while. I just wish I could fit Martin in my pocket for my own coaching 🤣
I took Martin’s videos today to the range along with his other videos…I had amazing results..Thank you….
I've gotten used to being critiqued by my golf instructor each week. But it takes a lot of balls to put yourself out there for all of RUclips.
Swings a work in progress. Some days good some days SH$& 😆
@@mikemartysiewicz Mikey, swing is looking great man
This is a top level instruction. Love martin’s style of teaching.
Martin is amazing at analyzing what's needed. So good. Imagine if Mickey get stronger and flexible with his sturdy physique and this swing change. He's gonna hit bombs
That’s the goal this winter. Need to shed a few 😆 too much 🍷
@@mikemartysiewicz You have my support. Next Spring we gonna be seeing 300 bombs
@@mikemartysiewicz I was built just like you and shed 35 LB in 4 months and got stronger you can do it dude!
@@mikemartysiewicz look up German body composition training. Game changer. I've had success with it, and have helped many friends drop pounds and get stronger pretty quickly
Absolutely golden for me. The whip of the clubhead back is something I've never thought about. Always been able to hit the ball pretty good with the driver. Can't imagine how far I'll be able to rip it with these simple techniques.
I don't usually comment on videos but this is absolutely one of my favorite series of all the videos. Would love to see more of the same. Very helpful information !!
you can go get as much as you want here www.performancegolf.com/coaches/martin-chuck
MC is a born coach. The lead arm flying wedge and the 3rd power accumulator clearly demonstrated here. Thanks.
Maybe one of the best explanations/ demonstrations on a potential fade/ slice problem & Speed leak of someone who is not over the top but is weak right constantly.
This was phenomenal. Martin seems like a great down to earth coach that really speaks common sense to the golf swing.
This is easily one of the best video's regarding the swing and a perfect fix.
Great vid gents! Martin's approach to the the problem was fantastic! Love it.
Mikey is probably my favorite cast member. Likeable personality, seems happy to be around. Love folks like that
Wow... that was one of the best instructions I've seen so far in 20 years of playing golf.
Martin is a legend in every way. Class person and great delivery of information
thx pro!
Never heard of out to in from the wrist conditions after 100’s of vids , this was very cool . Such a quick drill which made massive a difference to impact.
I learned so much from this teaching. Very good organic drills I can utilize to keep golf fun. Thank you.
That's the best 25 minutes of instruction that I've seen. My 14-year-old son just started to play golf, and this is a video he'll be able to watch and incorporate into his lessons. He struggles with folding the trail arm to early and ulnar deviation, so this was timely and well explained.
The series with Martin old s first class… this being my favourite video!!!!! Mikey be a spot in the distance in the fairway tomorrow!!!!
Oh buddy, that was fun. I do the same thing with my driver and thought that was insightful!
Such incredible instruction from Martin. He makes it so simple to understand and implement almost immediately. One of the best live instructions I've ever seen.
the talk about where you place the club head behind the ball totally makes sense for me, I line it up center and tend to hit the heel a lot!!
Interesting approach, great video
Martin is a coaching genius. Love his tour striker tools and content. One of the best in the business for a reason. Don’t know if there are many teachers better than him. 💪💪💪🙏🙏💯💯🙌🔥🙌
The set up Radius :O. The amount of strikes with woods and drivers that are out of the heel because of trying to set up like my irons in the middle of the logo! Range trip booked in tonight for sure
A George Knudson nugget from my first lesson w him when I was 9 yo, 44 years ago.
I want to say thanks to Ian, Mikey, and Martin... I watched this video and tried put this into practice on the range and on the course. I feel like I am striking the ball much better (higher & straighter, even a slight draw). I also feel like I gained about 10yds if not more in distance. Using this instruction, I actually shot par on my home course for the first time ever. This helped all the way through my bag... Thank you again...
Wow, thanks for this. I am a low heal hitter with my driver, will be trying these out next time on range.
I could watch Martin talk about anything for hours. I’ve been using his simple strike sequence and it is really helping my game. I still get stuck on my back foot and hit it fat, but far less than before. Great video guys!
Thanks Fran! Have a great day.
I would concur with Ian, this has been reallyinteresting to watch and listn to. Mike is such a relatable student and Martin is just the bomb on explaining things very clearly
This is one of the best driver instruction videos I have ever seen. As soon as this hurricane in Florida is over I will get to the range and try Martin Chuck's advice. Thank you.
Now this is EXACTLY what I needed. Taking notes for the range session tomorrow. The visuals, drills, explanations, and then demonstrations make it so simple to understand. Much appreciated!!!
Amazing lesson and huge kudos to Mike to have the courage to do this in front of the camera, and does it so well.
I will say after this session I’ve been hitting driver so much better!!!
@@mikemartysiewicz Happy for you dude. Enjoy!
When Martin showed how the club moved toward the heel when the club head was lifted off the ground, that was nice to see being explained. I figured that out years ago on my own when I started using impact wax on the face of my driver and woods. While I figured it out years ago, I have not seen it shown by a golf instructor before as I recall. Nice Martin.
Hello Don, George Knudson taught this to me in 1978 or ‘79.
@@tourstriker Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I really like how you teach golf and explain it in terms most everyone can understand.
I just keeping back to this lesson because I am just look Mikey. Mr Standard, such a good video
Excellent stuff thank you!
Thank you guys, Martin is an outstanding Coach/ Teacher! He's was put on this planet to get the best out of a person ,and not just in Golf, I'm a smoker and I wl not throw my Cig out the window or on the ground, idk a little lesson he taught me many years ago, be responsible for your Actions is what I learned from that pet pev of His! Thank Guys couldn't ask for 3 more Honest Men then you 3 !
Awesome love the technical lessons
Fantastic video & lesson. That bit about forearm rotation made my jaw drop, somehow everything I have a major epiphany, youtube throws up a video confirming it. I used to have heel side strikes and that move gave me much more centred strikes and consistency of strike too. Its like the head tracks a path to the ball inside of hand-eye coordination to get the sweet spot.
Though I am wondering if we need more ulnar dev for irons (compression). Would be great to have a similar video but for irons, mid-long and perhaps even wood off the fairway.
Love your final swing, Mikey. Got my twin boys ages 11 in to show them the difference... Fast forwarded the middle bits, and my boys were like, that's amazing!!
Me too there is hope!!!!
Holy Cannoli! Out to In with Ulnar Deviation blew my mind. No wonder grip in the fingers Vs Palm is a must! What a gem of a video!
Wow! What a vid! This guy(Martin) he knows his craft. And what a teacher he is. Thanks for such an interesting lesson from you three.
This is HANDS DOWN....AMAZING!!!!!
I must tell you guys that after watching Martin help Mikee I picked up a couple of great tips that have helped me a lot. Great video and with lots of subtle gems! Bravo!👏🏼
Martin Chuck is a beast. Id take him over any teacher out there.
Wow! Fantastic stuff, as always, from Ian/TXG and Martin. Thx!
One of the best if not the best utube video out here.
Please keep this guy coming back for more instruction! Thanks 🏌️♂️
Awesome video, i absolutely love Martin Chuck's style of instructing. first class
This one will be filed along with Gareth's short game lesson videos...amazing instruction from some of the best in the game. Thank you!
1,100!!! Wow - s'fantastic - like this video was! #morechuck
This was awesome! The premise was gain speed and watching Martin quickly find a swing flaw then easily communicate the fix right Mikey was impressive. The address posit creating heal strikes was 🤯 then the brush the ground move……that would help my swing issue! Then the takeaway move to start building speed…..so many nuggets in this one!
What an eye opener this was. I love his low key approach and demeaner while thoroughly getting getting the point across. Great stuff guys!
Man the thought of slinging the club back really gave me a great swing thought. Immediately got 3 to 5 mph swing speed and was ripping it! Thank you!
Great lesson guys. Totally enjoyed it. Very easy to understand.
Great instructions from Martin and great session all round. Nice for you Mikey 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
this is gold.
I've been losing speed with driver considerably fast heading into my late 40's, dropped from 115 to 100 mph over the last 3 years and heel strikes have become pretty damn common as well.
can't wait to try this on the range.
well done Mikey👌
you may have just helped out more of us than you'd think.
Fantastic! Clear concise and on point.
Wow what a difference just from such small changes what a great video
Live lesson vids are always a big help, do more!
Love watching and listening to Martin. Also want to go golfing Down South (Africa, that is) with Andrew some day.
Andrew Rice is the best! Go do it. I may be on that trip w you:)
I've been setting up with my driver toe-y for years. It gets weird looks, but I did it instinctively. Glad to see some positive feedback 😀
Awesome! This lesson fits exactly what I have been battling!
Martin is a great teacher! He seems to want to genuinely help golfers achieve their best. I had a few convos with him a dacade ago on golfwrx about Moe Norman. I still have my tour stirker, and I still bring it out during winter, hitting off mats you can't get away with any flipping, great training aid.
One of the best instruction videos I've seen. I am going to try this at my next range session. Thanks and keep these instruction videos coming!!!
Great video, Really enjoy watching videos with Mikey involved
Thanks Jim
Thank you guys. Learned a lot!
Probably the best instructional vid I’ve seen. I’m spreading around it to some struggling buddies.
Working on less handle raise and it is helpful to see how it changes the release. Great video!
Wow, Martin Chuck, I’m late to your party but I’ll never leave. Thanks guys at TXG
At least you made it 😂
Martin is one of the best around, excellent coaching
Great information from a fantastic teacher, good job on the swing Mike👍👍
What a great video just shows how important it is to find the fairway and optimize your swing.
Fascinating video👍
Love seeing Martin again.
Fantastic instruction in regards to how to gain speed, efficiency and knowing how these instruction work FOR Mickey given HIS driver swing issues. Knowing and underwing HIS flaws are the key to these inputs. Each of us has our own flaws, that is why you need someone to see YOUR swing and give you the proper input!!!!! Mikey keep at it bud!!!!!
What a great video and great lesson. Determining the correct out to in swing condition Mikey has was absolute gold. Critical information. Trackman and GC quad are great but a great instructor with an eye like Martin wins every time.
Could watch these types of videos all day!
Pretty cool. Good job Mike. It's not easy making changes.
This is my problem too and never had it explained like that. great vid, thanks.
Fantastic insight from Martin. He’s in my backyard at Raven golf course. I’ll go visit him soon. Cheers.
Wow!!! What a lesson. I also do a strong grip and will try this at the range.
#Stronggripgang 😂
This was great, more please.
Ian, I agree…Great segment! It’s great subject matter, with results from such a small and practical move. Keep up the great work👍🏻
I saw that smirk on Mikey when they called him captain consistent!
Wow, never heard this before. Could explain the outside to in path of so many people that are NOT swinging over the top.
Thanks Ian, this was fantastic.
I don't need the speed but just learned how ulnar deviation is hurting my golf game. Awesome video guys!!!
These tips were absolutely mint
this is my favorite video yall have put out in awhile! this and ian at tpi hitting fairway woods have been amazing for me. at tpi hearing raw numbers just spit balling out was nice and seeing the difference in clubs was great. this video was awesome bc i struggle w the same move w my wrist as mikey. im closer to 110 speed but same move. these last few weeks yall have had some great content! and im not even disrespecting the other videos
Loving this series...
Really loved the way Martin explains everything Great Stuff
This would of been great with Drew if he worked with Mikey and Mac also! And it looks like your not using any of the stuff Drew had you work on Ian? Im 3:59 in and I can tell you Mikey's set up has opposite tilt the balls to far back and he's aimed way right of the alignment stick which is no bueno when your swinging across it already.. Plus there is almost no load on the backswing it's almost a reverse hip slide which never creates speed. I know what Martin is saying about going after speed and losing playability with your driver for awhile because you'll hit some balls that add stress to your round but it's no fun playing when your driver flies 240 especially on wet fairways and 480+ yard par 4's
i wish i had a driving range right now, i would luv to try some of this. great info and discussion. whipping the club going back as long as i don't flip coming down.
Wow this is my recent issue. Going up too high and my left wrist getting all wack like that too. I’d seen other vids that helped me try and bring the left hand in more like here but this was great. Can’t wait to put this into practice. FELLOW PILLOW FIGHTERS UNITE
This video was one of the Best so far. Great info! Thanks!!
This one video gained me 20 carry yards. Unreal. Thanks guys
Awesome!!
Martin is a gem and a gift to us all!
Such incredible instruction and overall demonstration!
