      Can you do a full video on how to hit the ball and then the turf after, I know a lot of that video consisted of that whilst chipping, but it would be good to see some more drills and tips on how to do this when doing a full swing.

      1. More details please, on release, on wrist movements, the feels/checkpoints of a good setup including the rest of the body, and no need to rush it.
      2. Take a page from Rick Shiels book and just keep churning out swing tips with a hook we can all relate to "how to stop slicing", "course management" etc. And just do them again a year later with a better mic and post-production. It works and I'd watch it.

I’m always trying to move my weight further forward to avoid hitting behind the ball. Now I think it’s straightening my right arm Down towards the ball that my problem is. I can’t wait to go try this. Always amazed at how much I don’t know about the golf swing. 3.2 Handicap.

    • @chipandputt
      @chipandputt 2 года назад +10

      @@nicholastheos3022 it didn't ... although at first I was trying to go to the limits of the range of motion, which was super awkward. I dialed it back a bit, treated it more like a bit of error mitigation rather than a full end-stop limit like he described. Oddly enough, what the minor adjustment did was get my upper arms to get a bit more "connected" to my torso, which has cut my dispersion down significantly, especially with wedges .. down to a 5.8 index.

    Bryson, from a guy who has been taking his golf swing seriously since 1975 I want to thank you for all the videos you have been posting. Not only have you been giving great information to all the golfers in the world who want to improve their swings (and yes, that includes me.), you have also been giving an outlet for the stress of worrying about our world where Covid has been harming so many people. Your videos are a tremendous help to people in many ways. Not only are they giving help to golfers to improve their swing, but also in way too keep people sane in a time of great crisis by just being able to view them in a safe environment, like their homes. It is beyond cathartic voyeurism, It actually brings hope for a day when we can use your teaching to improve our game when it if fully safe to do so. Thank you for your generosity with your videos and on a personal note, this old duffer is now a big fan of you.

Felt really weird holding a club and thinking about internal and external rotation of shoulders and hands but once I got comfortable with the setup it started working. Biggest swing thought for me on the downswing that worked is pushing my right palm forward and in front down the line it’s really helped me rotate my hips and chest correctly! Within a year, i am playing CONSISTENT scratch golf and love playing golf more than ever. One thing I noticed today is for my driver (and pretty much all the clubs) the faster you pull back your backswing, the better and stronger your downswing and contact with the ball is. Awesome video! I have never once thought about how my arms were (internal/external) and this made all the sense in the world to me. It gives you complete control over the club. Amazing!

    Bryson, Thank you so much for this video. First, I've been struggling for a long time and you nailed it right off the bat. I was told by everyone that to get rid of the over the top and the weak shot that came from it I needed a strong grip. Well they were so wrong. Everyone is different and for me I needed to go from seeing 3 knuckles to only 1. No more over the top chop and a great ball flight. Thanks again! Sean

    Great explanation on the relative arm positions. I always thought I had a good grip, but now I know that it is no good if it is not locking in the right arms positions. After I watched your video I realised my left was neutral-internal and my right was internal-neutral. No matter what grip change I tried I could not eliminate my push fade. So, thanks very much for sharing this aspect of your golfing knowledge. Definitely interesting and far from boring. More pros should share things that they are working on. Not just in golf but in all sports. To my mind the modern media is too focussed on the theatre aspect of sports. You tube is great way to sidestep this dumbed down outlook. So thanks again for your generosity in using it to share these helpful technical details.

    No other elite pros are putting out this sort of content off their own backs. I love this Bryson, the way you say what feels comfortable and repeatable to you is refreshing, for so long people having been touting the perfect golf swing, but we’re not all perfect or as athletic as professionals! Great work 👍🏻

    Bryson just keep it up bro. Love watching you play and how you go about it and that’s coming from an olderish guy that grew up watching tiger win over and over and always mimicking his swing or trying to at least lol but watching you and how you’ve always been super technical with explanations I’ve been using your swing or again trying to and im playing the best golf of my life so preciate it bro
