I've had some very terrible drives yesterday and then remembered this video. I've tried to remember those steps and the results were ridiculously good. Never before did hit this long and straight. It is truly game changing. Thanks for the great advice.
@@zachkoeppen4063 yes. Sasha mckenzie, Dana dahlquist, Pete cowen, dr.kwon. Just to name a few. Bryson knows HIS swing really well. Doesn’t mean he knows all swings.
the rope joke caught me off guard, nice one. Glad you are able to laugh at urself. You get portrayed by alot of people like ur the kind of guy that gets angry when you embarrass urself. Thanks for the content. GL in Thailand in the next LIV event, we're rooting for you to get that W!
I like how you broke the swing down into three pieces so simple but a lot of work to make some improvement and I can’t wait to do the work. Thanks so much Bryson the brightest spot in golf today.
Thank you :) I knew we wanted speed at the bottom, but nobody ever tells you how. Your youtube channel has completely changed my impression of you, now you are one of my favorites!
Legit explanation. Bryson is good at breaking down the feels. My biggest drivers come from when I feel like I swing 3/4 compact. But as I transition and shift the club stays there and loads up with energy then boom it’s released.
Bryson , I have been a fan since you were an amateur. You show even more class again by sharing videos like this when you have plenty of money and really don't have to waste your precious time. I'm 56 and still trying to hit 330 yard shots at 193 lbs. I have always wondered about the physics of how to put it all together so again thanks so much for sharing. GOD'S BLESSINGS over You and Yours.
I would give anything to hang with Bryson and hit driver. Love that he has a RUclips channel and wants to give back to all of us through it. Keep the videos coming!
I first came across Bryson before the Ryder Cup (I'm European btw), I absolutely love this guy & I was rooting for him all weekend!! Please teach me the different hitting action's between a draw & fade!! Peace everyone!!
I sorted the end of the downswing out back in the early 00's when I was in my 20's. After watching tons of footage of Tiger, I noticed he was doing the push off with his front foot and I worked on implementing it into my swing. I managed to get up to ~300 or so yards consistently before I paused playing golf for a long time. Just got back in this year and seeing that you have broken down all the aspects of a long-ball golf swing is awesome as it validates the things I discovered back then. Great video and thanks for sharing the information!
By far the best break down of explaining how to mimic this technique that I’ve ever heard! I literally tried this today and instantly gained 40-60yrds!!
ok, watched this video - went to the range - pulled in my DeChalmbeau self - and huge improvement on my drive! May not have gone 300 or 275 yards but went straight!!!!!! My usual slice where the ball goes into the next fairway was not there!!!! Worked for my 3 wood - on the tee and sitting on the ground!! Thanks and looking forward to getting better!
Great video it makes me cringe when I think about a lot of what I was told not to do taking golf lessons 20 years ago. I always understood how kinetic energy worked with golf kind of like snapping a towel, but your move from the top of swing to the impact is really impressive and interesting and goes against everything people are being taught. Great video thanks !
Bryson is trailblazer this golf game. Making great content and showing your personality and your appetite for innovation is awesome. My new fav pro golfer 🫡
Bryson I've been watching your videos since you started, and I catch myself going back to this video time and time again. The ability to learn and recreate quick is my gift as well as sports and though I'm new to golf this is definitely one of the swings for me that I cannot replicate consistently but ill keep watching this back until I can !!! great video even though it's been a year !
Fantastic explanation! Nearly every video on RUclips talks about getting the club into delivery position and whipping the club around, but none explain clearly how to do it. But Byson just changed my world. I just tried the jump diagonally backwards and my clubhead just flew around faster than my full swing. Truly amazing. I can't wait to try this on the diving range.
This is really solid advice. Had been trying to get some long drives added to my game, but no matter what max club head speed was 107. Today, gave these 3 tips a try, got up to 117, and averaged 112; great stuff again from Bryson
This is why I like my group. I have the raw power out of my normal playing group so I always go last so they get it in the fairway and then I get free range to swing as hard as I can and if it goes straight I get enough extra 50-75 yards on our tee shot. Been watching Bryson for a while and his tips really have helped me over the last year. I used to only get my driver to go 220ish now I can hit it 260-290 consistently with my longest drive being a 340 bomb
I've implemented the first part of his top, that's the feel of where you're pushing down and it's worked wonders, I'm properly hitting the deck and getting divots.
Congrat Bryson; Vice-Longdrive Worldchampion. Incredible. Million respect. This Video shows so much nobody usually tells and it shows clear how you did it... 🏆
Just came back from the range, gotta say. Feels pretty good smacking 160+ ball speed. From 140 to 150. You breaking it down gave me the light bulb moment.
Bryson, thank you so very much. I'm a 50 year old "covid golfer" and even at my age, your lessons have me hitting 275 yard drives. My trainer said he wished he met me at 8 yrs old (I know, weird). But seriously, he said Arnold Palmer in his prime hit 1,000 balls every day. I'm not doing that, but I'm what I've coined as "speed striking" 100 balls as hard as I can every three days. I wish I started playing this game 40 years ago.
What's cool about this Christopher is that at your age you have started successfully a new excitement that you can enjoy for many years past the point in time where other sports are not doable for us.
Thank you Bryson, your golf tips on swinging the driver has helped me be more confident smashing the golf ball on the course. I am getting great distance from my golf swing, and my GIR has increased. A lot of practice involved, thank you again.
After watching this i went to the range and hit 100 balls and it felt great! When i got tired out just hit a few chip shots for a bit then went back to practicing, thanks for the tips video mate!
i have been WAAAAAITING for sombody to explain that raise up, hunch down and drive through...Dang it im EMBARRASSED i'm just finding your channel now B!! i've always followed you ! Love that he's a regular dude!
Hey Bryson. after seeing your swing (single plane) I changed my golf swing to single plane as well. I've improved my golf game by about 5 strokes since then. I also changed my clubs from using Mizuno Blades to one length clubs. I live in Calgary AB. It would be amazing if we could play one day! would love to come on the show to talk about it all!
Heard ya talk about the dimples for putting on the last video with grant and I picked up on it but I’m glad you talked about it and actually showed us. This is definitely a game changer
I love how with all the expert advice one of the things he encourages of effort. Allot of it, and persistence. Repetition builds muscle memory and unlocks instead in the brain. Been golfing since February, never been on a course, I only go to the range because I enjoy learning to hit. My longest drives reach 250 carry. I go at least once a week and hit a large bucket (105 balls). It’s crazy watching people I know are better step back to watch me
I already hit it 315 stock. Longest is 343. I've never worked on any of these things. Thanks for all these tips Bryson! (You're a great teacher) I cannot wait to outdrive you Mr. Dechambeau.... LFG!!!!
These videos are the very best. Can you also show us long irons please? Hardest part of the game I feel. Same swing? Maybe some other tips. You rock man!!
This was such helpful information and the breakdown was greatly appreciated. Gives a great understanding of the mechanics and how to better generate force into my swing. I saw a putting video you made about 6 months ago and am looking forward to your next videos. If possible please do a video where you play a couple of wholes and actually speak out what is going through your mind as you go through your process of chipping and putting in that hole. Many thanks. Great videos!
I train regularly in the gym and that’s a huge help. Using a “normal” driver and range balls been able to work up to the high 180s with an accessional 190+. Big issue for me is left IT band. I think the tip to push on an angle and back vs driving all the energy down and through the left leg will help alleviate that issue

Gaining distance is the east part, finding your ball after is the hard part.
Yeah, if I hit it farther I might actually miss the entire course. Much less fairway.😂
Nice thing is to get the distance you need to hit it properly. Often when you begin to hit it further you end up hitting it straighter
😂😂😂😂 For sure
i seem to golf better off the opposite fairway lol
reps reps reps reps reps
Can't believe Bryson is generous enough to give this away. Practise these three drills, then put them together -> solid gold. Thank you !
Agree! Well put. Best explanation of the golf swing I have ever seen! So generous!
*tries drill on driving range
*snaps first shot over net onto the 18th fairway striking an elderly man.
*takes up bowling
Probably the most clear 3 steps to practice I’ve seen on the internet. Thank you Bryson. Can’t wait to improve my drive! Let’s go!!

This is legitimately the secret to hitting it far. Nobody explains it like you just did. Well done and thank you!
There are a ton instructors that explain this incredibly well… and know more
