1 cup water 1/4 cup normal sugar 1 cup glutinous rice flour Cover with film, and poke holes Microwave for 1 minute, mix, microwave another 1 minute, mix, microwave for 30 seconds, mix 1-1/2 cup cornflour on board to prevent sticking
I followed your recipe to the letter, and used the mochiko brand of glutinous rice flour. The mochi never seemed to cook all the way and was not appetizing at all. I cooked it more in the microwave and ended up with a mass that I couldn't even stir. It stuck to everything of course. I managed to get it out of the bowl onto parchment covered with corn flour, and tried to make the nice rounded balls, but it was a complete disaster. It ended up hard as a rock and still wasn't cooked. HELP! I want to figure this out. Anyone have any pointers they can share?
I tried this with the exact same ingredients and measurements. I followed the recipe perfectly. Somehow, when u first taste it its kinda sweet but after a bitter taste hits. Idk why, the flower is not expired or anything...i just wanted some good mochi😢
Tried this recipe it did not work i wanted to make mochi but i followed the instructions right but when i put it on the microwave for the second time it was like mochi texture but it was still sticky so i tried to refrigerate it after I refrigerated it it was still sticky i used corn flour it still was sticking to my hand and i couldn't make mochi 😢
I did it and mines came out amazing! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

In the filling.
♥️
That's actually a good idea. I've tried mochi ice cream before and it taste really nice. 😊
How long should you kneed it for
Can I use corn starch instead of corn flower that’s all I have
Yes, corn starch and corn flour are the same😉
Is there a substitute for cornflour for dusting? I don't have cornflour or cornstarch
Try tapioca flour or cornmeal
Or potatoe starch
How much in ml or gram?
i did ine batch with 1cup flour. 1 cup Strawberry juice, and it was the most awesome mochi i have made
What are the gramms of ingredients?
hii just to check right we don't need to refrigerate the mochi at the end right?
You ca refrigerate it and heat up in microwave for 30seconds if you want it soft again
What sugar did you use?
looks like powdered sugar
Juat a regular sugar 😊
mine has a bitter aftertaste for some reason. its not expired i dont know why this happened 😔

It must be the brand you are using. Try to adjust the cooking time in the microwave. Good Luck
Is there any microwavemodification you have to make? Or does it just work with any microwave?:0
Any
No need to modification. You can use any microwave
