Beautiful car, As a 54 yr old man i remember these cars well. I can only hope the new buyers takes as much pride in preserving them as the original owners did.
Aww man Anthony, I do too...I remember the super smooth RIDE in those big bodies...the crushed velvet seats...the power steering....the back seat was like a big living room lounge chair. Sublime.
Say that again. Today, you have to spend $100K or so to get a comfortable car, and even then I am not sure the experience would be the same. Just look at those seats! The simulated wood grain looks very attractive and did not cost a fortune. Those cars were pretty simple, but they were very solid and comfortable, and priced within many people's reach. In addition, they were relatively cheap to maintain and repair. I prefer the Electra, though. Had a '78 that was stolen from me.
@@vincentblue2264 when they changed the impala to a generic looking global car they lost sale. Impala was a nameplate recognized as a comfortable family car. W body cars were geat American value. Good ride, good power, decent MPG and reliable to around 200,000 miles.
The 1985 Collector's Edition is pretty much the ultimate LeSabre in my opinion, I really like the extra touches like the hood ornament and trim and of course the special documentation that came with the car. It's great to see one of these kept in near showroom condition
My 1985 oldsmobile Delta 88 was a daily driver up til 2017 then got taken off road due to frame rot. Odometer rolled over many times. Fantastic car. 307 v8 was very reliable
That's why I wonder if the miles are original or if it rolled over. I never understood why GM didn't have the hundred thousands space on the odometer on those older vehicles
My Aunt had this model Delta 88 too. She used to have to sit on the yellow-pages wrapped in a pillow-case to see over the SUPER LONG HOOD. The car was taller than her. BUT!,!, SHE DROVE IT LIKE IT WAS THE SIZE OF A COMPACT CAR!!! NOT A FULL SIZE 4DOOR SEDAN!!!! I miss Auntie. I remember she turned 80 YEARS OLD!!! Wearing 3 inch stilletos in her DELTA 88!!!
Hello Tony . That's a beautiful Buick you have there. I also have an older Buick. I have a 1977 Electra 225 L.T.D/ with 40,000 original miles. It has the last year 350 Buick engine. It is featured in this Decembers Classic Automobile mag. Thanks for showing such a nice older car.
Keep things like this alive!!! One day I want to be a customer of yours!! Thank you for these videos. You actually really pay respect to the great American classics!!!
Those Hub Caps were made at Norris Industries in Spencer WV . They made all hubcaps for all of General Motors. I worked there for several years and they really is a lot of work in making one of these hubcaps.
Wow! So beautiful and so nostalgic! My Daddy bought the 1984 version of this beauty back when I was still a young teenager. We were a family of 7 (including my mother and father). Although the Dodge minivan had made its debut in '83, I guess my Dad was not that impressed and preferred the subtle luxury of the Buick for his family. This care gave us many years of safety and good service as we traveled up and down I-75, on Dad's ministry assignments. I'd love to own one for the nostalgia, although my choice for our young family these days is the Honda Odyssey Touring. My kids would find the LeSabre cute and interesting, but they're not ever giving up their Odyssey, and I don't blame them. Just a different era. Thanks so much for sharing this video!
i have chevy caprice since 14 years ,still runs great, but now rusty, cost thousands to fix the rust,i bought buick lesabre 2000 it has just 25000 miles when i bought it 3 yrs ago now it has 31000,its really great cars
What a beautiful car! I love it! As far as cloth vs velour, I always understood that velour has that plush pile that you can run your hand over and it changes shade in each direction so to speak. Cloth on the other hand is just that: cloth. You will never find cloth in this caliber of vehicle. Velour is more luxurious and soft. I love your videos, Anthony! Always great, clean cars! Keep up the great work.
The '80s were the heyday for velour upholstery. I really miss it. It gripped you in the turns and felt comfortable whether it was 100 or 10 outside. I really resented when the automotive market started pushing leather and really low-grade crappy no-nap fabric (NOT velour).
That's in superb condition for the age. My dad had this same model, I believe in the same color and year. It had a different color vinyl top, I think it was black. It was not a limited. He bought it used in the mid-nineties. I remember it was in really good condition like this one, with low miles. Of course after a few years the bumpers and rocker panels started to rust. He also didn't like how much fuel the big V8 went through. But they are nice big old cars and very rare to see now.
Love that velour interior. Impressive that the "Cruise" and "Wiper" hasn't been rubbed off of the turn signal stalk. That's normally one of the first to show wear. What a great representation!
That GM Prima Velour upholstery is some of the nicest there ever was. I still remember the distinct smell of it. It was the same whether it was in a LeSabre, Ninety-Eight, or Monte Carlo.
Nezar. K. Dear Antony I live in the Middle East now, I lived 20 years of my life in the USA in Michigan then moved to California back in the 80s & 90s I love the cars you offer especially the Cadillacs because I relate very much to them I used to own a 1981 sedan de’ville brougham which I drove for 10 years, I love your honesty and sincerity in showing your cars which shows a lots of professionalism I watch you always and I hope one day I will get a chance to buy one of your nice cars which brings me back a lot of memories thank you and regards to your lovely dad too Great job Nezar Khawaja
I have been binge watching your vids for the past 3 nights! I can relate to many of these cars as I'm in my late 40's....and have driven many of them. I'm reliving my youth thru you....please don't stop.
Ant'ney! You've outdone yourself with this beautiful Buick. I remember seeing these new as a kid and seeing those "Collectors Edition" badges and thinking that was so cool. Thanks for your appreciation for these underrated classics!
Wow when I was 15-16 yrs old my mom had a baby blu lesabre ! She bought it from neighbors that could not drive anymore, and it was mint! This thing would float down the road! But around the 90s when my mom had it she traded it for a 91 ford tempo! Which at the time I thought was cooler to drive lol! Same interior! Don’t know if it was a collectors edition? It was baby blue inside and out! What a throwback!
Imagine paying $16K for a brand new, mid luxury full size car. Back in 1985, most buyers paid for these cars within 3 -5 years. NOW, the only way many people can drive a new car off the lot is by leasing (long term rental).
considering with inflation 16k is about 38k (give or take) today that’s a hell of a deal for such a nice vehicle. can’t get a well equipped car today with this amount of detail and class for that kind of money. you’re right about that
Had one of these in until around 95 or so. Nice riding and spacious, including the trunk. Most will want to add air shocks to keep the tail from dragging. As you note, the 307 is the weak part of the package.
That's a beautiful car. They were great cars when my wife and I first got married in 91 we had a 1982 lesabre. You are so right people don't take care of there property any more. I sold my son my car so he'd have a good car we sold it to him cheap to help him out and he never washes it or even checks the oil. I'll never do that again.
Nice and neat. I once had an '84 LeSabre Champagne color burgundy top and interior.. but I currently own a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 403 engine with 95,000 original miles that I'm restoring. I've always loved the big 4 doors. 👌🏾💯
I still have one now in a coupe same colors. I had about 4 of them over 25 years, White, Burgundy, Black and my current Gray one- all coupes and I drove them everyday. Weakest link in these cars is the anemic 307 Olds motor (165 Hp maybe) and the valve stem seals which dry up and then allow it to burn oil. But as a collector car its fine. 1985 is the only year the Lesabre was bigger than the Park Ave Electra, which went to FWD that year. The"leftover" Park Ave interiors from 1984 were put into these cars and made the 1985 "Collectors Edition" Lesabre. But these cars an eyeful for sure and really did float down the road. Thanks for seeking and saving these cars.
Seriously beautiful. I owned a '78 LeSabre - base model - silver 4 door - red vinyl interior - front bench seat - same 3.8 liter V6. I loved that car, and if I may say, God bless you for bringing back some find memories. Thank you.
My family had one of the collectors edition Lesaber's from 1985. They kept it until the mid 90's when they traded it in for a smaller car. It was still in good shape when it was traded in but the paint job did have some minor issues. Mid 80's paint jobs in the Florida sun didn't fare so well. Being garaged kept didn't help it unfortunately.
my brother loves these buicks.he has had about 6 like this one over the years and still has a white one like this. Beautiful car and nice content on your channel.gotta love all those classy cars.
Absolutely stunning. I come from a Buick family myself. My father had this same model, completely identical except the seats and carpet were burgundy red and the AC was a touch pad. I’m going to guess you didn’t drive this car at night. The Buick LeSabre word and rectangular pinstripe above the glovebox light up when you turn on the headlights. I’ve never seen any other car with that unique feature.
Oh, man, another Beauty...I had an '84 Regal in 2-tone blue. One of my favorites I've ever had. This beauty makes my heart ache again for my beloved Regal. ♥️ Also makes me miss the ride of the '84 Park Avenue that I drove for a small Limo Co. back then. Sweet, gentle ride. These cars can't be beat for the 'common man's' luxury just short of Caddy. ♥️
My father got 1985 black on red interior Buick lesabre. He dead 2009 a heart and brain attack at the same time. I wish he was here today to see this beautiful car. I got a lot of emotions when i see the car and I remember my dad getting into one of these in 1997 i was 5 years old we had a lot of good family time at this vehicle.. i wish i could by this one dedicating it to my father on his memorial day serving in the army for 35 years
What a beautiful car,I have a 2005 LeSabre limited it's not even close to what we had in the past,! Excellent video Anthony and stay inside till the bad weather leaves!Thank you.
Impressive, certainly seems worth $8,995. I just can't wrap my mind around thinking a Dealer probably offered the orig owner MAYBE as much as $2,500 because "it was so nice!"
The indoor video is fine. You have to because of your seasons and the winter weather. You are right about filler panels down south. You are so on the money. I remember that Pontiac Parisienne. Simply elegant! I liked you put new tires on the car and your comment about the 1996 Buick Roadmaster Collectors Edition and the seats on this LeSabre. It was sad to see when GM downsized all those cars in the 1980's. They upsized in the late 80's early 90's the fwd cars. Buick Roadmaster gave buyers one last shot at this kind of Buick(1991-1996). Hard to believe Buick is now an all crossover and suv brand in the United States. The last Buick sedan to be cancelled is the Regal which is being discontinued. They will still have Buick sedans in China. You are right about that brand loyalty does not exist anymore. That was a lot of collectors items that are interesting to see. Nice and clean indeed.
I believe that the Buick Roadmaster is the best highway riding car ever made, Quiet and smooth. I have a new Regal now, it has a sport suspension, which means you feel every bump in the road. Feels like a Nissan instead of a Buick. Nothing like the cruisers of the 70's and 80's, That you could run up on the curb and the suspension would absorb all the impact.
I have a 2000 Buick park avenue in mint condition with the round face and fish rear end with a 187000 miles on it ,, man it rides like a Cadillac and I’m for sure gonna keep it for the long haul as a classic !! in 2006 I believe is the last they made this body type and park avenues and the LE Sabre’s.
This was amazing. I miss the 80s cars. I had an 82 toronado and an 87 riviera. the quality was impeccable. plastics had made their way in but there were still some quality stuff like the leather and the velour as you call it. I wish I could go back and drive my toro and riv. The Riviera was so ahead of its time with the digital dash and crt touch screen. It felt so futuristic. I have had two kia optima turbo's a 2011 and a 2015 and though their tech was nice i'm in a 2013 lincoln mks twin turbo v6 that has been a good mix of what i've loved over the years. The luxury, the sport, the power. and happy to have the awd with the power to really make it scream down the road!
Just recently got a 84 buick electra unlimited that i wanna restore as a weekend driver(to go along with my 77 chevy caprice) i know imma catch hell looking for bumping fillers for front & back ..cant get enough of older cars
Awesome Ride! I wish I had more hands. I'd give you 4 thumbs up. P.S in the market for a nice 80 - 84 Impala, but this is certainly a jewel. Keep'em coming.
Lol my pops lesabre just like this one got stolen when it was nearly brand new during the crack era. He was always a buick guy until 2014 when he bought something different which was a Chevy equinox
Beautiful example of a 34-year-old car. Very good choice of replacement tires - near exact match of what would have originally come on this car. Also, looks like the original aluminum Anco short-frame wiper blades are still in place. Not sure if they make those refills anymore. GM used these and the Trico short-frame tubular blades on all of the '80s B- and C-bodies. Whoever buys this beautiful car is in for a nice ride down memory lane!
Your indoor presentation turned out very well indeed! Great camera, about as flawless as you'll ever find, Another great video Anthony, keep 'em coming bro, Looking forward to the next cherry ride you show us
It is not just a car it is also a jewel ,in the era of 80's I often travel in these cars in Saudi arabia like Bonaville ,Deville ,Caprice classic , Brougham ect .nice v log .
I had a 86 Estate wagon same exterior color ordered without exterior woodgrain trim. Had the Buick chrome mag road wheels. Maroon cloth seats. What a sharp wagon it was. Also was ordered with hd suspension so it had a rear sway bar. I've never seen another GM wagon of that era with a factory sway bar
I remember my grandfather owned this type vehicle, back in the day,I think he love it very much because this is the last vehicle he owned. These cars were the real tanks these cars held up very well!
I had one of these in a White 2 Door with red leather Int with a Electric Moon roof. I had this in high school mine had 85k miles paid 1800.00 for it. It was in 1997. I drove it until 2001 with 135k miles sold it for 3000.00 I wish I would have kept it. Good find Tony
I had one just like this Champagne color back in the day..All my friends had cars like this . Park Avenues, Delta 88's, Bonevilles. We use to cruise em all night long in the South Side of Chicago...Great memories.
This is a beauty!!! I was raised with Buicks and in fact, my first car purchase... was a 1996 Buick Park Avenue.... it was the bomb.com lol I miss that car and hope to find another one like it... the first car I drove was my mom’s 1985 Buick Regal T Type supercharged engine... I loved it!! I love this car!! It takes me back!! In fact, growing up, my second home was Schuman Carriage, the official Buick and Cadillac dealer for Hawaii (sadly they retired the company)... if you still have this car in 1.5-2years, I may want to buy it... depending on what other beautiful Buicks or Cadillacs you may have at that time!!
Can you all imagine coming to a car lot full of these beauties!?
I remember
Imagine what it was like just one generation before pre 1977.

These cars can't be beat for the 'common man's' luxury just short of Caddy. ♥️
Yes! Cars nowadays don't have that smooth "floating" ride. Also, the plush seats that make you feel all cozy and relaxed...I miss that.
A stunning an flawless car, wow! The level to detail in these old rides is phenomenal :)
What a gorgeous car. I too miss these big boxy cars with the pillowy seats.
My father got 1985 black on red interior Buick lesabre. He dead 2009 a heart and brain attack at the same time. I wish he was here today to see this beautiful car. I got a lot of emotions when i see the car and I remember my dad getting into one of these in 1997 i was 5 years old we had a lot of good family time at this vehicle.. i wish i could by this one dedicating it to my father on his memorial day serving in the army for 35 years
The indoor reviews are great 👍
I like this indoor video better. Right amount of light and no glare . 👍🏼
Looks amazing
Love the Buicks, Cadillacs, and Lincolns
Great video, I love those big 80's GM cars, and that's the cleanest LeSabre I've ever seen.
What a beautiful car,I have a 2005 LeSabre limited it's not even close to what we had in the past,! Excellent video Anthony and stay inside till the bad weather leaves!Thank you.
I’ve owned several Buick’s this one right here is the cleanest especially for the year 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Impressive, certainly seems worth $8,995. I just can't wrap my mind around thinking a Dealer probably offered the orig owner MAYBE as much as $2,500 because "it was so nice!"
I paid top dollar for this one! Premium cars I’ll pay a premium price for!
Thank you buddy!
What a beauty! Grandfather who was a retired Navy officer had the exact same car.
Wow that car is perfect. Such an amazing find!
That cleaned up so nice! Beautiful beautiful car!
Stunning Buick!!! Such cars make me happy😎
I have a 2000 Buick park avenue in mint condition with the round face and fish rear end with a 187000 miles on it ,, man it rides like a Cadillac and I’m for sure gonna keep it for the long haul as a classic !! in 2006 I believe is the last they made this body type and park avenues and the LE Sabre’s.
so nice.......wish it was a PA. the fabric they used on the seats was very durable and always looked like a million bucks!
It felt soft too. Not like the material they use today.
Wow! I wouldn’t touch a thing! I’d even leave the original radio intact. Just listen to my iPod with ear buds
Just recently got a 84 buick electra unlimited that i wanna restore as a weekend driver(to go along with my 77 chevy caprice) i know imma catch hell looking for bumping fillers for front & back ..cant get enough of older cars
that paintjob and bodywork make the car look brand new
Thankks for sharing. What beautiful up keep. Can't believe a car this age can be kept so well.
Awesome Ride! I wish I had more hands. I'd give you 4 thumbs up.
P.S in the market for a nice 80 - 84 Impala, but this is certainly a jewel.
Keep'em coming.
I had an 84 till the city of Chicago wanted it for themselves.
Lol my pops lesabre just like this one got stolen when it was nearly brand new during the crack era. He was always a buick guy until 2014 when he bought something different which was a Chevy equinox
Beautiful classic.
Excellent observation!
Beautiful!!! I have a 85 lesabre. Collectors Edition. I'm bringing back to life.
Long live the 80’s gm!
Your indoor presentation turned out very well indeed! Great camera, about as flawless as you'll ever find, Another great video Anthony, keep 'em coming bro,
Looking forward to the next cherry ride you show us
Thank you!! Still just using my Iphone 10 and a headset! Glad you enjoyed!
Still watching your older videos 👍🏼
This is my dream car. Specially those tail lights with no chrome lining. My dad use to own park avenue electra when i was a baby.
Absolutely stunning!!! To die for!!
I can’t wait for you to upload a video about a Buick Riviera. Preferably one from 1985 or 1986. :-)
I love these Buick’s. My aunt Ida had a two door model.
Yes General motors also made the 2 door lesabre and the electra coupe love those plus very rare
All buicks pontiacs and you el Dorado caddies and the fleetwood brougham had the 307
I had one just like this Champagne color back in the day..All my friends had cars like this . Park Avenues, Delta 88's, Bonevilles. We use to cruise em all night long in the South Side of Chicago...Great memories.
Man this buick is so damn clean! Most of the cars you post, i love! Big fan from Austin, Tx.
Looks my 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 , known as B bodies by GM which also included the Chevy Caprice and Pontiac Parisienne/Boneville .Great cars to own.
How can this not be an amazing 4-door Buick Grand National?
Really beautiful. Could be a good investment for the future. Recommend it...
Love them le Sabres
I did have a 81 and a 84 le sabre and a 78 coupe with 52,xxx original documented miles on it...
Love the old Buick lineup
My son works at GM in stl...he would love this...
Beautiful Buick I would love to have it!! I have. 2 Buicks now and they are the best!! This one is amazing.
Beautiful! Grandma and grandpa had a new one as a kid
