About XD: Gale of Darkness and the playability of Bonsly -- they had to set that stuff up, because the Battle Bingo in the game is basically using the normal combat sequence for the attacks between mons, so it only makes sense they made a functional setup for bonsly for that purpose. This was also, like Lucario in the Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team games (Red and Blue) a cameo of a gen 4 pokémon in a gen 3 game, as Diamond and Pearl weren't out until a year after XD hit the US (Japan got those two about the time Red and Blue Rescue Teams came out in the US).

Aren't there lots of exceptions yet he ides of every pokemon in PokeFloats being available in a pokeball? Sudowoodo, Wooper, Slowpoke, Seel, Psyduck, Geodude, and Porygon (1) aren't present either. Also, Bonsly is technically playable in Pokemon XD through the special Bonsly Battle Bingo card. He just can't be added added your party in normal gameplay.
The change of beans to peanuts actually makes sense from a localization perspective. Beans aren't a common snack in north america, but peanuts are, whereas in japan, edamame beans are more commonly eaten in snack forms

For the poké floats section, it mentions that most of the Pokémon in the stage are the same you can summon from poke balls, with the exception of Onix. But we can clearly see squirtle and psyduck as well, who are not summonable Pokémon to my knowledge
Alright, I just went and checked that stage (poke floats) and a major majority of the “floats” are NOT of Pokémon that come out of poke balls in melee!
Actually Bonsly was a playable Pokemon in Pokemon XD. You couldn't get it in your party, but there was this type-matchup bingo minigame where you could get Bonsly as one of your Pokemon as a reward for clearing all the other bingo minigames iirc. I wonder if Bonsly had the same stats/abilities in that minigame that it would end up having in Gen 4.
I would've thought that they were gonna mention that Baten Kaitos also has the world record for the longest speedrun ever. That game's 100% speedrun (in which you complete all quests and get all items) involves aging the "Shampoo" Magnus for 336 real-time hours - that's two real-time weeks! 😱

That is kinda odd. The console did have its own proprietary disc format developed as a means of cramming over a gig of data onto a single disc, after all. I'd like to think they could've found a way to cram all that data onto one GD-ROM if given the time/resources when porting.

The gamecube brought so many unique and innovative titles that went underappreciated because everyone wanted first person shooters and edginess during the early to mid 2000s.
It's probably better that people don't talk about it. I'm sure there's plenty of people who knew Final Fantasy VII's big spoiler before they even played the game. But hopefully more people can discover Baten Kaitos (if they ever re-release the games!) and experience the surprise for themselves.

All you need to do is load a game and simply pause the game. In this menu screen, you will see an image in the background. Monsters and all that, BUT look very closely at the bottom. It will show a man and a woman engaged in coitus. At first it will look like they are decaying or something. But if you follow their spines and notice how they are positioned, you can tell that if they had flesh on their lower halves, then they would obviously be having sex.
Im not entirely sure if it is a PAL or NTSC version difference, but it is in one of the menu screens. Ill see if i can find an image of it. Or ill have to get a game capture of it. (May take me a bit to do)
"Rainbow Cruise" is used in the NA versions of Melee and Brawl too. It also wasn't unlockable.

Level 10 is correct. Script error, it seems; most Pokémon starters are level 5 when you receive them, so I see how the slip up happened.

@@resfan000 unfortunately, i dont have a direct link right now. If you own a copy, or have a "digital" copy, it is very easy to find. (If someone can get a link to the picture, please post here). All you need to do is load a game and simply pause the game. In this menu screen, you will see an image in the background. Monsters and all that, BUT look very closely at the bottom. It will show a man and a woman engaged in coitus. At first it will look like they are decaying or something. But if you follow their spines and notice how they are positioned, you can tell that if they had flesh on their lower halves, then they would obviously be having sex.
Im not entirely sure if it is a PAL or NTSC version difference, but it is in one of the menu screens. Ill see if i can find an image of it. Or ill have to get a game capture of it. (May take me a bit to do)
