Why I'm Buying GameCube Games In 2022...

  • The Nintendo GameCube currently sits as one of the most expensive consoles to collect for. Due to my undying hatred for my wallet, I have decided to take the plunge and buy some minty complete-in-box GameCube games.

    As somebody who lives on Long Island I can tell you we want top dollar for everything. It’s crazy how expensive some of the games got

    What annoys me even more about inflated prices at conventions or anything in-person is that the ebay price usually includes conveniences and guarantees. Like delivery and money-back if there's something wrong. You don't get those things when buying in-person. You had to go there. You had to assume all risk. If anything, in-person prices should be cheaper!
    You did the right thing, haggling them down. I bet they were just happy to get the ebay prices. As much as I love the brick and mortar style stores, I had to cut back on visits because they were going over online prices and refusing to budge. Anytime I go these days, it's more for the experience. Almost all of them upcharge 10% or more on their games. :/

      @Assassin-ys5vw Год назад

      Yeah the thing about ebay and what not is there bid sites meaning over half the time if they go over market value thats all on the bidder for not doing research before placing the bid the convention how ever is no different then a store its a set price and the seller is fully aware of what there doing so yeah no excuse for the inflated prices when the seller is the reason there inflated 🤷 its got so bad with bid sites they have had to put a disclaimer all sales are final when you click bid you are honoring that price I once seen someone go $1000s over market value then cry about how they didnt know about it before they placed there bid like thats not the sellers fault pay attention to what your paying for i always do research on what im bidding on and when it goes over what its worth i drop out but its amazing how many people dont think about that before they place there bid 🤦

      @MackLee23 Год назад

      @@Assassin-ys5vw I constantly see eBay auctions with bids way above market average, with time still left for more bids to be made. It blows my mind.

      @@MackLee23 yeah thats what ebay buyers mess up with wait till last few seconds doing it before just makes competition to garentee best price its better to wait last 2nd know how much your willing to spend and then just let the best offer win if its an over bid then you basically just dodged a bullet because at that point its not worth it

    • @Assassin-ys5vw
      @Assassin-ys5vw Год назад

      @@MackLee23 I once seen a bid go up to the $1000s and thought geez ya all need to chill the game is only worth like $50 the seller was happy though since all bids are final 😂 buyers need to keep that in mind when it comes to bids thats on you to keep the price you offer its a commitment backing out will never end well because ebay does have rules and policeys 🤷 it just cracks me up how some people will cry about it when they are the entire reason it went that high like geez 🤦

    The first Luigi’s Mansion was the literal first game I’ve ever played & finished. It’s actually lowkey scary when played in the dark… kinda like the Mario version of Resident Evil. It’s a shame the horror tone didn’t really translate to the sequels.
    Also unlike most games today, it’s a short experience! Seriously you could easily beat lugi’s spoophouse in 1 sitting if you really wanted to… which kinda makes it better as a horror experience? At least to me it does

    Hell yeah, glad I'm not the only one who had a sudden hankering for picking up Gamecube games this month. Don't know what it is, but found myself picking up some movie licensed based 3D platformers on it and they're just satisfying to play on the Gamecube as opposed to the Xbox. There is a lot of gold here like Turok, Crystal Chronicles, RE4, Starfox Adventures! The Scooby Doo games for the 6th gen were pretty well done, Unmasked had a great recreation of the classic intro with game assets! It's insane how much GC game prices have gone up. I was lucky enough to pickup Pokémon Colleseum for $50 bucks about 6 years ago.

    Have you got Paper Mario TTYD? I’ll forgive you for dragging your heels to play Like a Dragon if I could get your impressions on the greatest Paper Mario game of all time.

    I have noticed this trend and all I can say is I am glad many of the first party titles have yet to get re releases so most casual collectors are all soending too much going after those while I am visiting local shops and buying all the great third party titles while they are still cheap and considered low value. Such as the 5 tony hawk games on gamecube I would argue are the best 5 to own out of the entire series. Also the lord of the rings games, Pixar games, harry potter games ect. All ooze such charm and high production value.

    Commented this once, but PLEASE do a retro rebound of all the naruto games. You did it with DBZ and I’d love to see your opinion on naruto. The games are also SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper.

    That star fox was actually an n64 game called Dinosaur Planet, and then Nintendo forced them to slap Star Fox onto it. The nearly finished Dino Planet game for n64 released recently
