Everytime I offered to pay for dinner the man aways said " If a woman goes out with me I pay." He would not budge on that statement. He paid all of the time.
Men should be paying on the date or else it is a friendship.

Women need to understand in order for their man to express appreciation, she needs to do something her man appreciates
I have always heard that if you can't get both people in the relationship to make a change (example: express appreciation/ gratitude) it is best for one of them to do the changes consistently and the other person will start to change over time as well. Baby steps in this scenario.

Jonathon, this is so TRUE! One of the most significant lessons I learned from my previous longterm 13 year old relationship was that we didn't express enough appreciation for each other.I am definitely more intentional about this moving forward.I appreciate this video and content🙏❤️

You have to watch that appreciation thing if your "other" puts too many demands on you. If you have to move where he lives, make friends with all his family, have dinner for him everyday, and he doesn't reciprocate. That's a problem. It's more negotiation than one-sided appreciation. Example, If you want to go to a nice restaurant. Cook for him 5-6 days a week and then say, I'd love to go out since I make dinner during the week. Then when he takes you to the restaurant YOU want and HE pays. Then you appreciate him. He has to earn the appreciation. (so that you feel like you get what you want too). Oh, and if he complains about something you cook, then that next night you have him cook for you. So it's your turn to be the critic.

Sounds like he had a very hard time receiving love... how does that feel to you?
It makes me feel sad and rejected. I know he wasn't treated well by his ex spouse - he really has alot of healing to do. No surprise he also struggles w accepting/giving affection.
