This is the first time I've seen anyone use the poly gel to build a nail tip, essentially, instead of going all the way to the cuticle. And then use builder gel to flesh out the rest of the nail and form the apex !😲🤯And I have to say, I absolutely LOVE this idea.😍 Two of the issues I've repeatedly run into using poly/forms has been getting the cuticles just thin enough around the very outer edges and i never loved the shape of the apex. I'm fairly rough on my nails due to my work , ergo i prefer a slightly thicker apex than I'm able to achieve using poly & forms (i also have long nail beds, so it looks better imo, in addition to the added stress relief). And you have seemingly solved BOTH of those issues for me with one simple hack/method change!!!🥰 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!🙏
Isn’t that the best part of a good builder gel 😁 it does the work for ya! When I got back into nails I started with polygel, shortly after I tried builder gel and I just fell in love with it! Now most of my sets are a combination of both polygel and builder gel 💜
This is probably the most valuable how-to video I’ve seen on RUclips! Thank you so much for this. It’s saved me so much time and they actually come out looking better. Thank you, thank you!
I hate using dual forms, but applying polygel like acrylic is soooo time-consuming (I've been doing it 2 years). This looks much easier. Im going to give it a try 🤞. I love how yours came out!
OMG what a bloody fantastic idea this is, THANK YOU! 😃THANK YOU! 😀THANK YOU! 😀 I got the dual forms kit to save time but the cuticle area situation has driven me bonkers as my nails are quite narrow compared to the dual forms. Your a wizard Harry! 🤣 - Thank you again 💙💙
The best tutorial, and believe me, I watched a thousands of videos. But my natural nails are short, and I struggle with undernath the nail, polygel is sticking to my skin under the nail.
Hi Denise, hope you’re doing well 🤗 Those Nails look amazing! Do you think I could slide that all the way down if I just use Polygel on my natural Nails?

@@Denisejohn65NailEd Sounds to me like what they are asking is, will this sliding trick work on the natural nail minus the base color polygel that you have on your nails before applying the clear polygel.

Hi there Denise. May i ask, do you have any idea what in the world happened to yayoge? I cant seem to find any info about them online, or any if their products for that matter. Ive been wondering for so long now.
@@Denisejohn65NailEd well that sucks. Ive seen SO many videos of people that loved their polygel. I UNFORTUNATELY never got to try their polygel, the one time i tried their products, i ended up picking a frickin builder gel in a bottle and had no idea what i was doing😆🤦♀️ thx for the response, have a good one. (I also work in a sewing factory type setting,at a curtain factory ♡)
I have a lot that are opened and I keep using them . I would say If they don’t seem any different in consistency since the day you opened them , then they’re fine
Surprisingly most people don't know this: Any reputable brand of cosmetic item, for North American marketing, on the back you should see what looks like a jar or a pot. Inside of this you will see a number followed by an M - this indicates the number of months it is "good" for after opening. For European markets it will just be the number followed by an M example 12M is 12 months after opening, 36M is 36 months etc. That being said, even if before the time stated has passed and the product changes colour, consistency or smell you should cease use immediately. Do I use nail products after the time frame? yes absolutely. Should a professional? (not throwing any shade at you Denise) I personally feel they should not as that window of time on the packaging is what the manufacturer says that the product will perform reliably and as intended.
I agree , if I would be doing clients I definitely would not use product that’s expired . I would only use the best . But for myself , if I like a product and it’s out of date …. But appears and works like it did the day I opened it . Yep , I’m keeping it for myself ! I do very few clients these days …. Very few . Thanks for being here and watching …. and reading ❤️
To do this is it better to have some type of nail tip? I'm guessing it doesn't work if you're doing this on super short natural nails. I really like those dual forms.
Yes…. To slide it on to create a French tip . But you can still place dual forms on a short nail . Just place it on your nail , use the clamp , clean up the under side and cure .
@@Denisejohn65NailEd Thanks!! I've been thinking about creating tips with polygel as to not go through the whole process of gluing on tips so I'm gonna try this plus it looks easier to just do another set over.
An hour and a half to do a set of professional looking nails at home BY YOURSELF that aren’t cheap press-ons that don’t last is pretty damn fast if you ask me. Obviously you don’t care to take the time to do this, which is fine but that doesn’t mean that this isn’t an awesome method. Different strokes for different folks.

No I haven’t yet
Why not just squeeze the gel onto the dual form, it saves a lot of steps.
