I found your channel about a year ago and Im so glad I did. I purchased some polygel and a lamp as soon as I saw your videos for the first time. It's been life changing. im 18 and i got both of mine removed as well and i’ve been SO insecure about it, they grew back but they grew back weird and i just wish i had my normal looking feet again. i feel so insecure all the time even when i’m alone, even if no one is seeing it i just… feel insecure. no one in my family knows about it growing in weird since i’ve refused to show them but i can’t even go without socks ever anymore… only time i take them off is to shower but it makes me feel so sad :( hopefully i can follow ur tutorial once i get a job and i can feel more confident about myself again

Hi Denise! i'm researching a bit about polygel before i buy it. Already experienced in other nail enhancements, but i'm curious about polygel as i've seen it being used alot on the skin. And i'm wondering why it doesn't seem to cause allergy? I know if gel gets in contact with skin too much, it would cause allergy, so is polygel different in that sense or? hoping u can help me, thank u so much in advance
It definitely can cause allergies . Sometimes it takes a While .

Hiya, i had this done a couple of days ago and found that its so uncomfortable to walk in trainers and other shoes so ive had to remove it with acetone! Could it have been applied too thick??

Could be . It’s not suppose to be to thick . Are you sure she used polygel ? Or are your toenails rubbing on your shoes ?
Maybe you just can’t wear the toenails .
I have a question, and I hope it doesn’t come out as offensive because it’s not my intention at all. Are your big toe nails damaged because of the poly gel? Or is it a medical condition?
Oh no , I don’t have large toenails anymore . I had them surgically removed because I had ingrown toenails . They removed the matrix ( root ) so they will never grow back .
Does this last when swimming? With summer coming up I want to find a way for it to not fall off 2 hours into swimming.

Uncured gel is more likely to give u an allergic reaction make sure it's cured good

It could , but it would be very temporary because we wash our hands constantly. It would fall off in no time .

Yep , that’s what it says … but I only do this on me … and I take the chance . If others want to , that’s their business .

Ingrown nails and I ripped them off once in a accident…. So I was done dealing with the pain
Dear Denise, you have had onycolisis for the last 2 years, it's an allergic reaction from the metacrillates in the gels and nail polishes you use. No matter how good the lamp is, the product is still going to cure for 48 hours after drying it in the lamp so your body is still exposed to those substances. I have this too and I stopped using UV products/acrillates altogether. I hope your toe nails grow up again. The doctors say it is more complicated than just losing nails: you can never have acrillic tooth fillings or prostethics again as this allergy is for life. Please, be safe.

I had my large toe nails removed permanently years ago due to ingrown toenails . My large toenails will never ever grow back . You are looking at hard dry callous skin on my nail beds .
Serious question here. Will this cause nail fungus to grow under there? For people who have like half a nail from growing it out due to fungus already. I know yours was removed❤
Can you go swimming? How do you you prevent lifting when feet get wet?
