The Marvel Cinematic Universe has given us stories about space gods, political thrillers, and street level superheroes--but we still haven't gotten a classic villain team! But we think that's about to change, and that the MCU is secretly setting up its greatest team of super-villains: The Masters of Evil.

#Marvel #MastersOfEvil #WakandaForever
This franchise keeps offering us so many cool things, pretty much on a monthly basis at this point, so it’s hard to miss anything at this point. Well other than the X-Men, but that’s not what I’m missing… at least not in this video.
No, I’m missing something special that has been absence for way too long in the MCU.
I keep waiting for that special something, but it never comes.
[Doug]: so what are you missing? Tell us already!
What I’m missing is a team of supervillains.
I’m talking the Masters of Evil. The Dark Avengers. Thunderbolts. The Cable.
A team of bad guys, each with their own distinct personalities, motivations, powers, weapons, skills.
This is something we have been missing in the MCU. It’s so strange that a villains team never happened within this shared universe. I mean seriously, even DC did it already… for like a minute.
To make things worse, there don’t seem to be any plans for it in the future.
So Kevin, since you are so busy with the multiverse stuff, let me pitch you why we need a supervillain team in this universe, how this team can happen, and who should be part of it. I’m going to even figure out how you can do a heroes vs villains crossover before Secret Wars.
Alright, let’s start with what we mean by a supervillain team.
The Masters of Evil is one of the first groups of villains that assembled in the comics. They are sort of like DC’s the Legion of Doom.
It’s a team of established villains who have all faced the Avengers individually in the past. They are all the arch-nemesis of the heroes.
So you could sort of see them as the dark mirror image of the Avengers.
The original team was assembled by Baron Zemo, something I have no doubt could happen in the MCU.
Over the years there have been many iterations of the Masters of Evil.
At some point, Zemo assembled a new team of villains, this time as the Thunderbolts. A team of baddies who pretended to be superheroes.
Years later, a new version of the Thunderbolts was assembled by Norman Osborn, and they eventually became the Dark Avengers. Yet another team I wish we would see in the MCU already.
Finally, there’s the Cabal, who are a dark version of the Illuminati.
These aren’t the only ones, but I’m bringing up these 3 groups because I want to see a mixture of these teams in the MCU.
So you can see that Marvel had a lot of inspiration in the comics for a great villains team.
I was really hoping that the Thunderbolts will be that type of team. But once Marvel announcenced the Thunderbolts’ roster, that excitement was just smashed. And not in the way She-Hulk likes to smash Daredevil.
To clarify, I have no issues with This team, it looks like this movie will be lots of fun.
Still I can’t help but be disappointed by the Thunderbolts not being a group of villains. Be it Thunderbolts, the dark Avengers or the Masters of Evil, we need at least one supervillains team.
That being said, She-Hulk gave us a hint to a possible supervillain to Intelligencia. In the comics it’s a team of super-smart villains.
But considering that the team was assembled by this guy….[clip], I doubt that it’s the supervillains team we are looking for.
Truth be told the MCU’s villain statuesque is becoming a little stagnant and repetitive at this point.
Almost every movie or show follows a similar formula with the villains.
There’s one main villain, who either works alone or they have a bunch of useless goons. Usually it’s an army of look-alike CGI goons.
These types of villains are the most common in the MCU.
Don’t get me wrong, this method works for the most part, but isn’t it time to shake things up with something new?
That’s why a supervillains team is such a cool concept, because each villain is different, they are not just copy and paste goons, they are actual characters with individual personalities and traits. - Кино

Still waiting for the Cabal, but even if they won't call themselves the Masters of Evil, I'd like to see that
Clowns of Evil starring NamorX
Meat is murder. It's okay for dogs to eat chicken, is it okay for chickens to eat dogs? Why or why not? Life is life. Anything that knows it's alive and fears death is sentient.
Can we take a moment to appreciate that Doug is getting better with the high-fives? 😄😄
it was so cool!
Its cuz he eats nom nom
Imagine if Ultron came back and took over K.E.V.I.N creating his own multiverse of madness
Your editor is on another level these videos are always well put together
I'm desperately hoping that the team they're showing us for Thunderbolts is a misdirect and that there will be two different teams in the movie, going at each other and competing for the same mission. Val's Dark Avengers team: Yelena, US Agent, Justin Hammer, Ghost, maybe Abomination and a couple of others maybe. And Ross's Thunderbolts team (The actual Thunderbolts mostly, Zemo, Songbird, Moonstone, The Fixer, etc. Maybe Bucky or someone to mix things up.)
Now that is a cool idea, but perhaps the other way around...?
Throw in Attuma and Hercules…
I want to see a proper villain vs villain movie, not a villain who is redeemed but a villain the whole way through.
and it should be R-rated
Punisher vs Scourge
@@donnydonowitz536 r rated ≠ good
@@collinbeckham8259 punisher isn’t a villain so how would that work
I hope to god deadpool 3 gets that R rating. Otherwise disney just ruined another good thing
My team:
7: zemo he’s the obvious one I feel like
6: kill monger BRING HIM BACK PLZ
5: modok or ultron, ultron would be better
4: magneto would be amazing for the ethics and political side
3: enchantress and skurg would be a sick duo to add and imo count as one
2: venom
1: doom
There are about seventy villains alive and kicking post she-hulk.
With villains like Kingpin, The Hood, and the Leader about to kick things up a notch we might start seeing a lot of team ups in the future.
Here's what you do, Kang travels the timeline collecting villains in a limited Disney+ series, then spilt Kang dynasty into two films of the villains launching separate attacks all over the world simultaneously, only for the heroes to discover Kang used these attacks to create an opening for him to launch his own master plan to destroy the avengers once and for all
1:02 isn't the Thunderbolts pretty much confirmed and on the schedule rn?
THIS
Yes, but none of them are villains
Having Doug the dog on the videos was a stroke of genius. He makes me happy.
Love it
I Love the action figures of Doom and yes we need some villain team or teams.
My line up for the MCU's Masters of Evil is: Leader as the team leader (obviously), MODOK (The real one), Baron Zemo, Red Hulk, Venom, Ezekiel Stane, Justin Hammer and Doctor Doom
My line up for the heroes that will unite against the Masters of Evil is: Captain America (Sam Wilson), War Machine, Hulk, She-Hulk, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Hawkeye
Still waiting for the Cabal, but even if they won't call themselves the Masters of Evil, I'd like to see that
"The Cabal you say?"
- Caleb, 'Blood'
I set up my marvel legends this way. The Killumantii is what you are presenting to the public. The anti-illuminati.
The problem with the whole "Zemo will put a team together" angle is that he hates super powered people. He would shoot the Leader right in the face, just like he did to the scientist in Falcon & the Winter Soldier. The best Masters of Evil we could hope for with the current status of the MCU is: Namor, Doom, Mac Gargan Venom, Justin Hammer, the Leader, and Red Hulk. With the business side of Marvel/Sony as it is we are shaky on any Spidey associated villains.
And there is also other properties to consider; Werewolf By Night was a signal flare that the mystic/horror side of Marvel is coming (Midnight Sons Lets Go!). And that takes characters like Dracula, Baron Mordo, Mephisto (Not the Bees!) and even Agatha off the docket for the regular MCU. I'd even argue that Agatha's series is to set up the Lillin story line that unites the Midnight Sons.
And since Aubrey Plaza is playing a villain, I would loved if she was Lilith
WHAT?! That was news to me! Awesome!
The Masters of Evil could be the villains that The Thunderbolts will fight! I get that you want a big heroes versus villains movie but the MCU more focused on heroes and I think the Thunderbolts will have a new roster soon before they became Dark Avengers!
4:47 I honestly spat my coffee as laughter exploded!
I could definitely imagine Kingpin putting together his own little team of super villains to face off against Spider-Man, Deadpool and the likes (the ''street level'' avengers, so to speak) without getting his own hands dirty.
“You’re the best around!” Zemo ✊🏻 🤣🤣🤣
I think from the Multiversal Masters of Evil that is going on in the recent Avengers Forever series, you're not far off.
The grounded projects are: Secret Invasion, Armor Wars, Black Panther Wakanda Forever, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, Wonder Man, Vision Quest, and Daredevil: Born Again.
I've been saying Marvel has a villain problem since phase 2 smh Heroes are only as interesting as their villains. We have enough heroes, we need better villains!! I'm also tired of the Hollywood trend of trying to make the villain sympathetic.....villains need to be *Compelling,* not sympathetic 😩
Finallyyyy someone else joins the masters of evil train, alllll aboarddd screencrush 🚂
5:09 is such a gem of a clip. I knew it’d be popular the second I saw it. Thank you Matt Reeves
Masters of Evil are one of the oldest Super Villain Teams in Marvel. The only one that predates them are the Circus of Crime, who are a Grade C Team at Best. Original lineup was Baron Zemo, Radioactive Man, Melter, and Evil Black Knight. First lineup change saw Radioactive Man and Melter replaced by Enchantress and Skurge the Executioner. Out of them, only Melter, who was killed by Scourge of the Underworld, doesn't have an Action Figure. My son then built a 'Core' Masters of Evil, and then a Master's of Evil around them. They are his largest Villains group. Part of that is throwing every Villain not on another Team there. And he has also built;
Dark Avengers
Thunderbolts
AIM
Hydra
Serpent Society
Maggia
Kingpin Organization
Thanos Army
Kang Army
Evil Kree Avengers
Hand
Skrull Army
Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
Hellfire Club
Sinister Six
Sauron's Dinosaur Army
(Small) Yancy Street Gang
He's a Collector. Also, I used to own a Comic Book Store, 24 years. And I started reading Comics in 1964. Not a lot I don't know about Comics.
Any chance I get to see more Zemo and Justin Hammer, I'm in.
How are the thunderbolts not a team of villains and anti heroes. And no doubt Abomination and Zemo will be added to that team. 👍🏼
Well, everyone currently announced is either a redeemed villain, an anti-hero, or a straight-up good guy. And Red Guardian is such a good guy that he'd balance out at least two villains' worth of evilness.
@@TheNovakv23 😂balance out 2 Villains evilness.
@@TheNovakv23 Red Guardian isn't a good guy at all, he pimped out his daughters
@@BuckyBarnesATL it’s obvious he’s the Rick Flag of the team. 👍🏼
And probably Red Hulk
We sorta got a super villain team in the form of the Wrecking Crew in She-Hulk, but I get wanting a more established team with backstory for each member vs one-off teams with no backstory other than being together for the sake of being the hero's punching bag.
Zemo being behind the Wakanda V Talocan issue would be absolutely stunning.
So many cool pop culture references. I loved the "Thing" reference!
Great videos!! I’m gonna subscribe
Bullseye, Mac Gargan, Shocker, Batroc the Leaper, Leader, Crimson Dynamo, and Enchantress
Dr. Doom, Baron Zemo, Red Hulk, The Male Taskmaster, Sabertooth, Justin Hammer (being secretly supplied tech by Doom), Remy Lebeau (Gambit)
I wonder what zemo would do about the skrulls without the avengers
1) Justin Hammer as Iron doom or some
2) Baron Zemo
3) Red Hulk
4) Taskmaster suits well here
5) Sharon or the Power Broker
6) red skull or Doctor doom
7) Namor or punisher
What about maybe Attuma, Hercules, Ulysses Klau…Swordsman or Bullseye…I don’t think Red Skull and Doom can be on the same team…or maybe they can play it like Iron Man and Cap, except their both scheming against each other while looking like they cooperating in front of team…and each of the team members are secretly siding with either Skull or Doom and each waiting to ultimately betray each other when they they least expect it…or think they do. And why not add a Skrull in the mix that no one knows about…
From zemo dancing to the "meanwhile"... hulk transformation to the batman scene so funny and perfectly set up. This is my favourite video of yours so funny. 5:00
I think we see Captain America, Ant-Man, She-Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Hawkeye, Vision, & War Machine. I’d like to see them go with Dark Reign after Secret Invasion.
Have someone like Val or Osborn take over the DODC & outcast the Avengers. Assemble a new team with the likes of Red Hulk, Bullseye, Hercules, USAgent, Iron Patriot etc.
I’d also like to see a Heroes for Hire crossover project where Spider-Man, Kate Bishop, Echo, Punisher, & the Defenders have to take on Mayor Kingpin & the top NY mob bosses in a gang war.
You could have Fisk pulling strings throughout the college trilogy & other street-level shows. The gang war villains could include Fisk, Mr. Negative, Hobgoblin, Hammerhead, Tombstone, Kilgrave, The Hand, Tracksuit Mafia etc.
Carnage , DR. Doom , The Mandarin , Chameleon , M.O.D.O.K , Red Skull. And the leader is Galactus
And the heroes Will be Spiderman , Venom , The Punisher , Iron Man , Hulk , Wolverine and the leader is Thor
I hope zemo his the leader
The evolution of the High 5 continues. Good Boy Doug!
Doom is who the heroes should go to in desperation for help in beating the Masters.
I can't even express how much I want to see God Emperor Doom rip someone's spine out on the big screen 😅
I'm still pissed they killed of Batroc the Leaper. For all his flaws, he still could be a good street lvl villain
I think Zemo is making his own team. And thats who the Thunderbolts are battling. Because the Thunderbolts are mostly super soldiers.
I agree, they brought on an army to force the avengers team up, and then pushed it into the epic phase 3, now it's time for them to go back to much smaller types of threats for each hero and then bring them all together for a huge battle which I assume will be secret wars
We need Korvac, Moonstone, Marvel Boy, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, Iron Monger 2(Ezekiel Stane), Iron Patriot 2 (Norman Osborn), Red Skull return/Iron Skull, Amora The Enchantress, Daken, Trickshot, Bullseye, Ragnarok, Ares, etc
agree with this. a team would shake it up
We havent had anybody to play a real life action Dr Doom so well since Julian McMahon in 2005’s F4
Mordo!!! Yes, yes, yes. We've got not one, but 2 versions of him that's pissed off with Strange. Maybe one or both of them attempt to go after Strange only to find out that he's tripping the multiverse fantastic and they look at it as an opportunity to rid the world of more magic users in his absence?
I love your channel dude...family friendly content is so important these days...I am trying to do the same these days. Zemo needs to make the Masters of Evil.
Umm his channel is not family friendly he made a s*x joke in on of his Andor videos and he be cussing sometimes 🙄
@@nintendofan6499 i apologize...i haven't seen that. That would bother me as well.
Watch the Andor Episode 1 2 3 breakdown video and tell me that's kid friendly then!😑
I hope that's a joke
And I'm not joking I'm serious
Masters of Evil: The Leader, Zemo, Justin Hammer, and MODOK and then maybe a couple lower tier ones not yet introduced.
Would love to see Ezekiel Stane.
vulture, scorpion, Zeemo, Yelena, Red Guardian, Taskmaster, ghost lead by val directed from ross and then a team up with bucky and captain America at some point.
True that
Should do the plot of the 1st Marvel Ultimate Alliance game. Doom and the masters of evil
You complained that there were no villain teams then you mentioned Spider-Man No Way Home. That was a legit villain team-up. Though, I would like to see a villain team-up in the beginning of a movie so we can have several conflicts throughout the movie.
What about Sharon? And shin chi’s sister (10 rings organization?) also I would love to see Ben Kingsley pop up. Like it would be funny to see him on a TMZ type of thing.
I want the cabal or dark avengers. More so than even the comic book version of the Thunderbolts.
Dr Doom, Killmonger, Zemo, Submariner, and a MCU variant Harry Osborn.
I just want to see Apocalypse, Magneto, and Galactus in general. Who knows, maybe you'll see your villain team up in secret wars. And I don't want any of these dudes dead. I want them always scheming in the background.
Red Skull, Dr. Doom, The Leader, Baron Zemo, Red Hulk, Abomination, Ultron
I agree too much. I wish we could get a big Super Villain group, but i think the best we'll get for now is the Thunderbolts. Marvel doesnt seem too interested in having true super villains out in the universe.
I don't think Agatha got redemption in the end of Wanda Vision, but it looks like she may in the future according to Wanda saying she knows where to find her when she needs her in the future.
14:50
Sam Rockwell is confirmed for Armor Wars.
My favorite part of this video is when Doug ate lunch.
At this point I wouldn’t be upset if Marvel just use the Sinister Six as like a gag or something. Maybe in Spider-Man 4, Jameson refers to the five multiversal villains and Spider-Man himself as the Six.
I don't know... I just feel like the MCU doesn't have any immediate plans for a Super Villian team as cool as that might be. I think they choose the big bad (Thanos, Kang) and anchor their stories around that.
WHAAAAT? Harrison Ford is the new Thunderbolt Ross? Awesome!!!
Maybe Aubrey Plaza's upcoming character?
Big wheel and the wall for sure
I will say I would mind seeing villains stick around longer than a movie or 2 🤔
I think Fiege said that the piece of Venom Sony left behind is just going to be sitting there for a bit as Spider-man is doing street level stuff in the next phase.
ALso, Spiderman picks up the Symbiote in Secret Wars in the comics....
#1 Dr. Doom - F4, #2 Modok - Ironman, #3 Red Skull - Captain America, #4 The Leader - Hulk, #5 Green Goblin - Spiderman, #6 Baron Mordor - Dr. Strange, #7 Taskmaster - Black Widow
Apocalypse needs to return and in a big way and subtly. Much like how he was pretending to be a human and convincing humans to create their own virus to wipe them out, like they did in the 80's xmen cartoon. They also need to have an actor who can pull off all the lines that were used by Apoc in that series. Also no more power ranger costumes for him, full cgi like hulk and shehulk.
Zemo: absolutely against superhuman teamups
Also Zemo: going to make a superhuman team???
Doug really enjoyed his lunch
Your disappointed doom face was great
avengers team vs powerful villians team will make both side good
It was the Sinister Six in No Way Home. Venom just didn't get the message and got drunk at a bar in Mexico instead.
Love this idea
I'm amazed that he didn't even mentioned Enchantress
Counterpoint to your disappointment that the Thunderbolts aren't villains:
Every single person on the team without exception used to be an antagonist at one point, so they literally are villains.
Also, the Thunderbolts differ from the Suicide Squad because the Thunderbolts are reformed and act as superheroes in earnest; whereas The Suicide Squad has a constantly shifting roster with varying motives/allegiances, and acts at the whim of Amanda Waller.
The interesting thing about the initial comics run was that they were introduced as new heroes that were surprise revealed to secretly be existing villains and you never knew if they were gonna stay bad or turn good, and they impressed everyone by going straight in the end.
The MCU can't really do the same shocking revelation, but they can still do the redemption story. Also, we don't really know what Val is up to. She could be the new twist.
No reason that it should only be seven. They need lots of underlings that aren't throwaway lackeys.
Zemo, Doom, Namor, Leader and Red Skull on the same team would create too much internal conflict. They wouldn't be able to work with each other.
In Stargirl we saw ISA which are also DC villains.
Doug is such a good boi. He’s gotten so good at high-fives!
I thought the She Hulk series was a ton of fun. They really dropped the ball with the casting for The Wrecking Crew though. Any one of the muscle heads she pulled from her dating app would have been 100% better than the four stooges they had playing The Crew. Those guys are big time Marvel villains and the totally blew it.
Wow im early ps love you screen crush you’re the best!
To be fair Thanos built the biggest bad guy team ever, even if you don't consider it because his people were all below him, it's semantics. Infinity War and Endgame was no schoolyard scuffle. But the problem with most super hero villains is the need for the audience to see them get their just rewards for the pain and suffering they cause people. If they killed people then the audience thinks jail time isn't enough, we know they'll escape, so they die usually trying to kill the hero, which keeps their hands clean and heroic or they get a redemption pass. In the comics that's fine because you need to make 5000 issues of Captain America for the stock holders, in the movies you're lucky to get three or four installments if your first doesn't tank so the bad guys can't linger or you risk having lose ends.... Also wait, what? Harrison Ford as Ross? That's confirmed? Does Ford even care enough to be Red Hulk?
Also, got my fingers crossed that doom is actually behind the conflict in Wakanda forever
Probably Namor, Zemo, Mordo, Venom, Red Hulk, Wenwu(ik it wont happen), and Dr. Doom. Let me know if I'm missing anyone. Also I think this arc should span BP 3, Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and end in a climactic movie or in one of these movies.
I've loved Sam Rockwell ever since he played head thug in the greatest movie of all time (i.e. the original ninja turtles) .... So yes, absolutely yes bring Justin Hammer back
The Illuminati from MVoM was the closest so far.
Will never happen but would love to see a Web of Shadows like movie where the Symbiote takes over a city piece by piece and Spiderman or other heroes have to help get rid of it
Thank you!!! Been saying that years.
I think you just figured out how they’re actually going to do it
Might as well ask Dr. Evil to join.
DOUG FOR PREZ! DOUG FOR PREZ!
This new super villain team is likely gonna be formed at the end of Captain America: New World Order, and go against the Thunderbolts
We need the Sinister 6, Masters Of Evil, Cabal, Brotherhood Of Evil, Hellfire Club, Dark Avengers & Frightful 4
I have a feeling we probably won’t need to wait TOO long.
Marvel movies producers really should watch your channel,it is spectacular, and people would hate to see MCU goes on a disappointing way when knowing they have the complete opportunities to do it right.
