- WrestleMania 36 took place in front of 0 fans. Yet somehow, someway the WWE produced some quality content. They used the circumstances to their advantage and produced two of the greatest WWE “matches” ever. Undertaker vs AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match was legendary. John Cena vs Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) in a Firefly Funhouse was beautiful. Was it a perfect Mania? No. However they did that they could and we still got some amazing moments. A ladder match, new two World Champions, storylines being progressed. It was without a doubt the most unique WrestleMania ever. Lets take a look at it.

Cena's one was the best. It was like a real life situation. Cena really worked for his success but it was covered by the pushes Vince gave to him. He could have been a great heel but WWE never made him heel for marketing. I think the reason some poeple hate Cena is not because they think Cena is a bad wrestler, is because WWE booked him in the same way over and over and over again.

It wasn't long term booking. It's was just one match that used the past. Long term booking would have.required Bray to have a consistent story over those 6 years. It was really good booking that used history to enhance it. It was not long term booking.

The best part about the funhouse match is that it emphasized what the fiends character is all about. He breaks you down to your true reflection. You end up losing to yourself, you’re not being “buried” by his gimmick in a match that only puts over one person or the other. Both wrestlers involved always end up looking better for it. You can argue that every person who’s faced the fiend has ended up in a better roster position. Apart from Goldberg.
Not really, they will lose and goldberg was not intimidated by the fiend and exposed his weakness as john cena rightfully said the truth and hopefully once the fiend's faces aleister black, black will expose him as an embarrassement, the fiend is all about image and less about wrestling skill and talent, a wrestler can be about both image and talent, sting in his dark era and undertaker proved that, but the key thing is, a wrestler has be truly talented.

I watched the Broken Skull show with Austin interviewing Taker, and Taker said he used old horror films “Halloween” and “Friday the 13th”. Loved seeing a lot of what he spoke about show up in the fight.

The firefly funhouse might be one of the best bits of story telling I've seen in wrestling in a loooooong time. I definitely will never forget it.
Fun fact: in the firefly funhouse match there was going to be a sene where bray showed the fear of John cena being in the nexus for the rest of his career and then being fired when the nexus was over but it was scrapped

This is the best chance for a heel turn for John Cena. his 'character' has been taken out. he can finally be the heel now that WWE has potentially great faces in Drew and Brawn or even Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. and ofc the obvious Roman Reigns.

Performance Center-Mania I was incredibly unique and OK to good. The Boneyard and Firefly Funhouse "Matches" were exciting and entertaining, Undertaker giving you a fusion of his past characters but, more of Big Evil... AJ Styles and the O.C. played their parts to perfection, should make it a challenge for creative on how to bring them back. OMFGGGGGGGG!!!!!! Bray Wyatt needs to win ALL the titles and the EGOT for his oddly, eccentric, and absolute witty creativity and performance even with the ACTUAL movie star in the "match" alongside him, John "I've been seen and transported to the 5th dimension in space" Cena. Wrestling's a weird thing isnt it? Two of the oldest people have one of the most entertaining matches. Proves that it doesn't matter if you're in shape or not, You can wrestle out there all you want but it's the story that makes it great.

Cena sold the FUnhouse match, Smarks wouldn't admit it but the majority of the stuff was done by Cena while Bray was just talking the same thing he does every night.

Dude, I still cant get over this.....2 weeks ago the ONLY matches I wanted to see in Mania were Brock vs Drew and Orton vs Edge, I couldnt care more about the...."boneyard" wtf is that?...and a Firefly fun house match PSSSt trash, even I who love the Fiend and Taker and Aj and Cena (yeah become a Cena fan after all), I just wasnt into the build up.....until LITERALLY this week, when Taker cut is promo in Raw and Cena cut his in SD.....I was hook.....and now, look and behold... who's matches were my 2 most disappointing: BROCK VS DREW and ORTON VS EDGE.........and who's matches where my favorites on the 2 nights.......THE BONEYARD AND THE FIREFLY FUN HOUSE, it was magic, I still smiling just thinking on this 2, these are some of my favorites matches in WRESTLEMANIA HISTORY....I in shock of happiness, I just cant believe it, American badass Undertaker is back....Bray Wyatt vanish John Cena.....this is NUTS, and I LOVE IT ALL.
Everything about the boneyard match was great, I got my hopes up on takers music tho, i was really hoping they'd use one of his older songs. Small nitpick but definitely forgivable
I honestly thought this was a great mania and the best in half a decade. This was good, it was decent through most of it with some good matches, but what made it the best in half a decade were the FFH match and Boneyard match

I loved both the boneyard and firefly fun house matches. Then the Edge and Orton last man standing match was amazing along with the triple threat Smackdown tag title match. The Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley match was also decent but the rest of matches I feel like they needed the crowd there to feed off. But overall it was a solid 8/10.
Imagine everything had went to plan and they were in the stadium with the crowd. This Mania would've been the best of all time period.
Boneyard match was an interesting take on wrestling (similar to the ones the Hardy did with the Woke/Broken gimmick).
FFH match was something out of the ordinary. The stakes were high. Bray had to live up to the hype. He had to establish himself as legit despite losing to Goldberg. He had to pull off a unique experience. Did them all. I think it's wayy above anything I've seen from WWE (maybe Kane's intro and Edge's comeback are on a similar feeling wrt to how intense they were). Also that inferno reference
