Matches that reminded us why we are wrestling fans. The drama, the passion, the excitement and most importantly. The story. The story that began all the way back in 1997 ended in 2010. Their WrestleMania 25 match had the perfect entrances , HBK coming out from up the heavens , Taker coming from down the hell , perfect match, 5 stars imo, perfect commentary, perfect crowd, greatest Wrestling match ever!
We here in Houston are honored to have hosted the best Mania ever (X-Seven in the Astrodome) and the arguable best Mania match ever (HBK vs Taker 1 at 25 in Reliant Stadium). Maybe wrestling companies should run in NRG Park more often, it seems like there's something in the air over here for legendary wrestling😂😂

I believe that it wasn't the money that brought him back but trips and vince all but begging him. After everything trips had done for him he couldn't refuse.
The fact that both Taker and HBK had bangers of a match against each other in back to back Manias despite being past their primes is insane.
Actually I'd argue both men were still in their primes but to each their own.
Probably not in their physical prime but both still in good shape and masters of their craft at this point.
Undertaker was in his best shape just two years before, and HBK's 2nd run was always better than his 1st. They were both in their primes for sure.

Dawson not really. He had more classics in his 2nd run and iconic feuds w Y2J, Taker, Flair, etc. And he was in his right mind.
That WrestleMania 25 match they had is one of my favorite matches of all time, and pretty much THE best wrestling match of all time. Taker and Shawn just had this elite chemistry, every time they had a match, it was golden.

Can we get the Taker vs. Triple H trilogy next? The DX Quadrilogy was one of the best things to come out from this.
For me, personally, it was the fact that both men were pretty much old men at this point who got their primes behind them and that still had enough skill and power to deliver a great match. I don’t know why, but if done correctly, seeing 2 old men fight for their last chance of success can be really awesome! It reminded me a bit of the final battle of Metal Gear Solid 4.

Not only was the two Wrestlemania matches between these two great, but the build was also really good. You don’t get many feuds today like they had back then

I remember this match whenever I was a kid and I haven't watched wrestling in many years as far as keeping up with it but I enjoy going back and watching all these highlights and reliving the matches from when I was a kid and the storytelling, how detailed everything was, real it felt, and I just appreciate the choreography and thought put into it.

I was at Mania 26 and watching that match live was just different. I was 13 and that shit made me cry since Shawn was my favorite wrestler.
I watched it lived with my family when I was 7 years old and let me tell you I cried out of hype and the end of HBK, I’m 17 now, rewatched it a few week’s ago and the nostalgia made me feel like I was there again

The WrestleMania 25 and 26 matches are two of the best matches in the history of WrestleMania. 25 was the better match, but 26 was the better story being told. There was emotion and chemistry in their matches and even though most people say Shawn's best opponent was Bret, I always felt Undertaker was his greatest opponent. It worked so damn well
Shawn Michaels was, is and will always be my favorite wrestler. I wanted him to beat The Undertaker so bad the second time. It hurt a lot seeing him go back then. Both of their matches are in my top favorites. Even bias aside, they were really great matches. Just about everyone agrees on that. Thanks a lot for the great video! It brought back plenty of memories.

Thank you for this video anytime somebody talk about the Taker vs HBK classic at WM they never mentioned that the build up goes back to 97-1998 and then rekindled during 07-08 royal rumble .. it was a result of long time story telling that's why the story going into the match was so freaking awesome.
Also this is before false finishes was overused by modern day wrestler who tries to copy that exact feeling you feel when HBK kicks out of the first tombstone.

For me it will allways be Mania 26! Best professional wrestling match ever. Period! It had it all: the story, everything on the line, the wrestling, all the moves and that heads up slap by Shawn followed by the most devastating tombstone ever! I remember watching this live, it was at a time I was figuring out wrestling and the moves and the kayfabe and selling of moves but when I saw that tombstone I literally jumped up and had to quote JR “bah gahwd he killed him!” It was so epic man!
