      Hi There, Sorry to hear about your DX. Its a long journey with DISH but the first thing you have to do is accept it. It took me about a year before I accepted that my life was going to change. You will learn to make adjustments, you will learn what help's you through the day but you must always try and remain positive. thx Gary

    I am furious! So furious! I went to a reumatologist and he told me that I have dish and it's probably cause I am smoking, he also told that my back is like a 50 years old person and that I should do yoga and he send me away... I am 40, I work as a dog trainer for the air force and I live in Greece and I am mad. But I am greatful for your video, ty very much

      Hi There. Try not to be angry, I know you feel you have been "singled" out and being quite young it would make most people angry but negative energy will make your sysmptoms worse. Be angry will make your muscles tight and that restricts your movement which you really need to keep this disease at bay. Look after yourself, eat well, keep your stress down and try and exercise/ stretch every day and you will learn to live with this disease. regards Gary

    Thank you Gary. Im from th US and I've been dealing with DISH since I've 35, I'm 48 now. I have the real severe case. I think it came from my many years of skateboarding and crashing on the vert ramp and falling from 10 ft high.
    But thank you for what your doing. Keep on keeping on. Keep moving brother.

      Hi Brad, sorry to hear that you have been suffering from such a young age. I do think that trauma to the body somehow "ignites" DISH. I probably had it ticking away in my body until I came off a motorbike at 100mph! from that point on my body started to hurt and after many investigations they found DISH. Its a shit disease but at least we're alive! Yep keep moving Bruv!

      @@garypul1245 Hey one more thing. I promoted your RUclips channel on a Facebook Dish page. Called "Forestiers/DISH support." So far they all love you and thank you so much. And so do I. I watched most of your post. Im actually going to try your Supplements that you suggested. I've tried everything. Even medical Cannabis pills and gummies. They do work for the pain but I don't always like the head high. If it's legal in the UK it does work. But when you come off it it feels like you got thrown off a building and suddenly hit the ground. But again thank. And thank for your time and response.

    I'm 43 and suffered with DISH since I was about 35 years old.
    My GP surgery in Selby Yorkshire, and my local NHS Hospital Trust (York) have been appalling and if little to no help at all.
    Some days I can hardly move, and I also find I get really tired.
    I can't imagine how bad life will be as I approach/enter my 50s.

    • @dishdiseasesimplified4728
      @dishdiseasesimplified4728  2 года назад

      Hi Kyle, 43 is quite young to be dx with DISH, the positive from this is that you can now start to combat it as much as possible. Keep moving, learn some yoga and do it every day, find a good physiotherapist who knows about myofascial release. Take anti inflammatories in moderation but use the if you have to, to enable you to keep moving. You will find a way to cope and there will be dark days no doubt but DISH is a slow porgressive disease and the more you intervene now the better the prognosis for the future. Good luck in you journey.

    Thanks for sharing. I find that staying active is the best thing for me. I had a very good paying office job but found it unbearable to sit all day. I've made my hobby my full time job now which allows/forces me to be more active. I start out slow in the morning but get more active as I loosen up. Then when I stop in the evening I get stiff and sore and muscle cramps. I was just recently diagnosed so I haven't had a chance to have my follow up with the rheumatologist yet. Just trying to learn what helps so I am looking forward to hearing more from your channel.

      Hi Becki, sorry to hear about your diagnosis. In summary you cannot cure or halt DISH but there is a lot you can do to keep yourself in good shape and in fact lessen the long term impact of DISH. You need to check that your BMI is within limits and loose weight if necessary, if you have high blood pressure or Diabetes you need to treat these conditions and aim to lower your Cholesterol levels. You need to keep moving everyday, go for walks and ideally join a Yoga class or take up swimming. You need to make sure you have a diet low in Carbs, keep away from soda drinks, fast food, white and beige food stuffs, sweets and coloured foods are bad. Eat un-processed foods such as salad, chicken, fish, pulses, red meat, keep away from white flour. Use supplements such as Vitamin K2 vitamin D3 and especially magnesium. Have a shake with fresh fruit, made from coconut milk, banana, red cherries and high protein Quark and yogurt with pro biotics. Look after your gut, eat fermented foods and supplement with pro biotics. Finally if you are in a lot of pain speak to your doctor but you can use paracetamol, naproxen and codiene to help with pain and also ask for muscle relaxants if your muscles feel achey or tired. Hope this helps x

    You need to make it very clear that you are giving your personal opinions about DISH . Some things you say are widely accepted. Others are definitely your own personal ideas.
    Well done for trying to get DISH better understood.
    You need to find out how to insert images not hold up images.
    Remember others will be having very different experiences to your own.
