YOU NEED:
1 Focal Fat Quarter
1 Accent & Lining 2/3 Yard
2nd Accent 1- 2 1/2 inch strip or 1/2 yard if you want to use it for pockets and such (Explained in Video)
1 Pack of Pellon 911 Fusible Interfacing (or Preferred Brand)
Some Scrap Batting
1- 1" Strap Slide Adjuster, 2- 1" Lobster Claws, 2- 1' D-Rings, 1 Magnetic Snap, 32" of Zipper by the Yard & 3 Zipper Heads (or 3- 11" inch Zippers)
CUTS:
-----Focal Fabric 2 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch for Outside bag
1- 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch Outside bag Slip Pocket
------Accent 1
2- 4" x WOF Strap (Sewn Together And Cut To 66"inch)
1- 2 1/2 x WOF Sub cut 2- 2 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch Outside Bag Accent
1- 10" x WOF Sub cut 2- 10" x 11" For Lining
------Accent 2
1- 2 1/2 x WOF Sub cut 2- 2 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch Outside Bag Accent
------OPTIONAL ON ACCENT 1 or 2 (if you are using your 1/2 yard Accent 1 or the Accent 2 if you decided to use a 1/2 yard)

Tiffany I can honestly say I learn something new everytime I watch you. Today was our last day to go get our quilt blocks because the store is closing in October. Ran across a lady from ness city, Kansas that apparently is a beginner sewer. I told her to watch your channel and creative heart creations or whatever is your friend from California that moved recently. I told her that you make everything so stinking easy.she took a snapshot of one of your itinerary so she could go home and watch it. Ness city is probably an hour or hour and half from hays Kansas. I never get tired of hearing your voice either.

I sat down and watched it over again and made my own pattern pieces as she described them. That made it easier for me to get all my pieces cut out before assembly. I have sewn for years guess I’m just old school and do better with a pattern. The actual sewing will be a piece of cake now. It’s such a cut bag I’m thinking of making some for gifts.

You have shown me a new way to measure on my cutting board. Everyone else I've watched measure from the bottom numbers and it always end up off a bit but this way of measuring and cutting has given me hope as a newbie.

You mentioned you were unsure about the placement of the strap tabs...me too.
I moved them to the purse top about 1/2" from the sides. I placed one tab on either side of the top zipper so it is balanced when it hangs over my shoulder. Works GREAT! I really love your style and as a visual learner...this works for me.
Oh and I decided not to cut the box corner notches until the entire purse was stitched together...that way, they all match up.

I really think this bag can be made in so many ways. This is the best. It could be bigger,or smaller. It could be made with denim,quilted blocks,& one fabric throughout. Love it. Thanks. You're so talented.

OMGOSH I love this bag!! I am not a sewiing expert by any means and I had to redo a lot because I misunderstood a few things, but well worth it. The inside pockets are at the PERFECT HEIGHT, I do not have any purses that are as convienent as this one is. I am deffinately making another one!!

Thank you I love the bag. You have one error, on the red lining, you say to cut 10 x 11 inches, but then say 10 x 9 inches. It's the first one. You are the first person ever to teach me how to cut straight!! I am so relieved. Its so easy with the mat.

I just made this bag. One thing I did different was, I stitched the D-ring tabs to the purse body back matching the top stitch line….now they don’t flap. It was a bit tricky because I did it after the entire bag was finished. Next on, I will stitch the flaps down before completing the bag. Thank you so much for the tutorial…love the bag🥰

I did it! I can hardly believe it but I just finished my very own "The Right Bag!" And it is "just right." Had to stop & start your video over and over to see just how you did some of the steps & was able to follow your awesome instructions! The local hardware & zipper selection was very slim but I didn't want to wait for an online order so I made it work. I just love it! I’ve made this type of bag numerous times. Your details and instructions are right on. Great video.
I love this bag! The fabrics you used were so pretty! Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I have one suggestion. On the zipper that you add tabs on the ends, don't sew the sides of the tabs. Line up one short end of the tab on the front of the zipper, face side down. Sew across 1/4" from end. Fold over 1/4" on the other short end of the tab and fold it over the end of the zipper and line the edge with the front where you stitched the first edge. Stitch 1/8" from edge. This way you will have a little less bulk on the sides, since they will be sewn in the seam anyway. Hope I explained it ok. The zoom stitching of the strap was fun! Thanks for the tutorial!

A great tutorial, l have made many bags but l learnt a new technique or 2. I loved the idea of leaving the pocket open and being able to finish a neat base on the lining and using . 2 way tape on the zipper. Thankyou for generously sharing.

I have made pockets like that before, but when you left the bottom open on the one, i was wondering why you did that, then when i saw why you did that, I'm thinking, how clever is that. I hate that zipper foot. For topstitching you can use your regular foot. Juki has a hinged foot that you can use close to the zipper when sewing 1/8 inch. I love this bag Tiff. It all made sense when you explained it.
I rarely use my zipper foot.

One of the most exquisite bags I’ve ever seen. The instructions were clear and concise, but I’m nowhere near this good at sewing. When I saw the technique you used that resulted in the perfect squares from the attaching the batting, I knew it was over for me😂😂 Great job!

Stellar tutorial. Watched it start to finish. Very clear. Thank you for clarifying which side is the glue side. I use (or have tried unsuccessfully to use) the same interfacing. The instructions assume you know which is the glue side (I read them over and over again trying to figure it out). I never could get the interfacing to stick to anything but my iron. I will now try it again.
It's typically always the bumpy side. And on some other brands it's the shiny side.

Finally finished and while I love it overall, I need to extend the size by about 4 inches each height and width to accommodate my iPad. Current size I can squeeze it in but it takes all the space and is difficult to take out. I’m also going to add a key ring clip.

A couple of the measurements change. You say to cut the lining at 10x 11 for example but then you say it gives you 2 11" x 9" pieces. Can be a bit confusing. It is the same with the interior of the front pocket. Might be something to keep in mind. It is a beautiful build as you go bag though. I really love the concept.
I mess up in filming it happens. The lining is smaller than the outside though 😊
