I miss my pastor he was just like this man here he had a heart for people and loved the truth the pure gospel
ExPreacher man was a net for me. It caught me and eventually God lead me to salvation.
Yankee shored up my belief. I was unable to even read my bible but I am now set upon a foundation of rock. The sand I stood upon before has been replaced with the bedrock of eternal security.

Pastor Yankee. Thank you for explaining the True Gospel to me. I've read my Bible again, and Jesus' teachings line up with what you teach. God bless you. I also told my best friend about this, and he believed in Jesus. I want others to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and this is how I want to honor God, telling others there's hope and assurance in Jesus Christ.

Arminianism: "Right now you are saved, but you can lose it."
Calvinism: "You cannot lose it, but you cannot be sure that you really have it."

To me, Calvinism, and Arminianism offer nothing, and I kinda see them as the same, thus I coin the term Calminism. That aside, a good message, and a comfort for the Saints indeed...

correct panda both are works based and false traditions of uneducated men, the Bible rightly devided only has 1 asbsalute view on the rapture and thats pretrib an absalute. its not relative, Gods not the auther of confusion, he never contradicts himself and only 1 view has scripture not contradicting other scripture and thats pretrib ! super simple if you study all views. pretrib wins every time cause its the only true view on the rapture, all other views misuse scriptures about the second coming and distort the second coming 7 years after the rapture with the rapture.. so simple!
calvan and arminian didnt even come around and didnt exist till way way way after God had clearly already taught his word and christianity was established, so neither calvanism or arminianism that were man made can be true

RC Sproul and John Piper who are among the biggest names in Calvinism have no assurance of their salvation. Calvinist/Lordship Salvationist R.C. Sproul is known to express fear over whether or not he's "saved". Sproul stated in Table Talk Magazine, Nov 6, 1989, page 20, he says, "There are people in this world who are not saved, but who are convinced that they are. The presence of such people causes genuine Christians to doubt their salvation. After all, we wonder, suppose I am in that category? Suppose I am mistaken about my salvation and am really going to hell? How can I know that I am a real Christian?" "A while back I had one of those moments of acute self awareness that we have from time to time, and suddenly the question hits me: "R.C., what if you are not one of the redeemed?" What if your destiny is not heaven after all, but hell?" Let me tell you that I was flooded in my body with a chill that went from my head to the bottom of my spine. I was terrified."
"I tried to grab hold of myself. I thought, "Well, it's a good sign that I'm worried about this. Only true Christians really care about salvation. But then I began to take stock of my life, and I looked at my performance. My sins came pouring into my mind, and the more I Iooked at myself, the worse I felt. I thought, "Maybe it's really true. Maybe I'm not saved after all."
"I went to my room and began to read the Bible. On my knees I said, "Well here I am, I can't point to my obedience. There's nothing I can offer, I can only rely on Your atonement for my sins. I can only throw myself on Your mercy." Even then I knew that some people only flee to the cross to escape hell, not out of a real turning to God. I could not be sure about my own heart and motivation. Then I remembered John 6:68. Jesus had been giving out hard teaching, and many of His former followers had left Him. When He asked Peter if he was also going to leave, Peter said, "Where else can I go? Only You have the words of eternal life." In other words, Peter was also uncomfortable, but he realized that being uncomfortable with Jesus was better than any other option!"
Then we have John Piper who also has doubts about whether or not he's saved and also regarding his congregation's uncertainty of their salvation. He made this statement in his sermon entitled, "Why God is not a megalomaniac in demanding to be worshiped" - Nov 20, 2008 in Providence, Rhode Island. Piper says, "I deal with this as much as anything, probably, in the people that I'm preaching to. "Fears and doubts, doubts not about objective "Did He rise from the dead?" - very few people are wrestling with that - but "Am I in? Am I saved?" That's very common for people to wrestle with." "But why I sin against my wife the same at age 62 that I did at age 42 causes me sometimes to doubt my salvation or the power of the Holy Spirit. - This question is not theoretical."
My comment - The utter fear and uncertainty that Calvinism/Lordship Salvation produces in people who embrace this false doctrine regarding their assurance of their "salvation" can only intensify and drive them obsessively and compulsively to try even harder to "stop sinning" and to keep doing and doing "good works" in commitment, obedience, perseverance, faithfulness, etc, etc, in the hopes of "making it into the Kingdom at the very end". It literally becomes a vicious circle, much like a "bionic hamster" that keeps going and going, and going on that metal thing that they run on in their cages. It's utter insanity. It's obvious in Piper's and Sproul's minds that Jesus simple promise/simple truth of John 3:16, John 5:24, 6:47, John 10:28-29, Romans 8:38-39, is a subjective thing and not an objective one. It's always based on what they observe in themselves in their "evidence" of their faulty works, and not on Christ's perfect FINISHED WORK and guarantee of eternal life and eternal security.

Grace can not be merited by man, so How could anyone justify themselves before God of Themselves , it is the Love, Mercy and Grace Of God. God is in Control , Yahashua is seated to His Right and The Holy spirit leads us to Faith in Christ and every act of Faith their after. John MacArthur terrified me for a while and made me doubt if I was saved. Yankee has helped me regain assurance of salvation.
False doctrine results in lack of assurance!
This is the Gospel preaching I remember when I was young. Most of what I hear now is reformed Lordship fear theology.
Both are based on works and not grace. Romans 11:6, Romans 4:4-5. Ephesians 2:8-9 And Romans 6:23. Matthew 7:21-23 Many will come before me on that day, and call me Lord, and tell me all about their good works. But they never did the will of my Father.
They boasted in their good works and keeping the law for salvation, instead of the Finished work of Christ as the only way of salvation by grace. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
The Calvinist can only know if he is chosen by his works. But we can not be saved by works, only by Jesus blood sacrifice which paid our whole sin debt forever. John 3:18 We can never be condemned again.
The Arminians believe salvation is a process, works, instead of Jesus alone by faith alone.
So, you can see they are both Matthew 7:21-23. Now there are truly saved people that get caught up in these false gospels, but those who believe it from the beginning are not saved.
We can only be saved by what Jesus did plus nothing. We can not save ourselves.
If you have trusted Jesus as your savior, then we aught to live right, not perfect, to keep from the chastening of the Lord and for rewards in heaven. But living right never saved anybody.
AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. IT IS FREE. And that is the only way we can accept it. We can not add what we do to what He has already done. Salvation is done, not do.
I have nothing to boast in. Jesus paid my sin debt in full and I have eternal life now based on what He did for me, Not on what I do or do not do. Romans 4:6-8 He imputed His righteousness to me, and will no more impute sin to my account. Ephesians 1:13 A born again child of God forever. I do not deserve to go to heaven. But Jesus paid it for me.
Oh! I forgot to give a big thanks to Yankee for preaching the true gospel of salvation by grace. It is all grace. There are so few preaching the truth. So many are deceived by false teachers. I can not imagine the horror of finding out you were not saved by works. Romans 8:9 Without the Spirit of God there is no salvation, with the Spirit we have eternal life. Second Timothy 2:19.
I am 78 years old and so ready for the new sinless body that will not have all these aches and pains. But I was born again 72 years ago. See all you in heaven where we will finally meet our savior face to face. Love you all in the Lord.

If we keep the faith thru trials and tribulation, not the tribulation, we will have a reward. If we lose our faith we lose the reward but still saved. First Corinthians 3:11-21. it would be the same for believers that go off and live in sin. God may chasten them, but never condemn them. John 3:18 First Corinthians 3:15. Only their rewards are burned up, but they are still saved so as by fire. Only their works are burned up. Wood hay and stubble. I want gold silver and precious stones. I will probably be a street sweeper in heaven, but I will be their because God can not lie. John 6:40. Romans 11:6 AMAZING GRACE.

you sir are totally incorrect. Calvinism is the only true theology that gives total 100 percent assurance of your salvation. The reason being is because the holy spirit is the one who does the saving. and once you have the fruits of the spirit then you are saved by gods grace and mercy. you can not i repeat you can not unbirth yourself in the physical or spiritual realms.
What fruits have you sprouted recently? How do you know they are genuine? How do you know you aren't deluding yourself? The church is full of tares, goats and wolves and those who believe they will (but have not yet) persevered to the end.
What is your 'before' and 'after' story that marks your conversion?
@@PotterSpurn1 fruits I have gotten over the years is Def self control and kindness towards homeless ppl. Meekness.
And more loving attitude towards life. And most of all my wanting to be obedient to God and not wanting to do my own thing. I was saved not to long ago but grew up in church knowing the gospel. The things I should be doing I do and I've put away my sinful behavior.
@@The300ZXGuru The Ordo Salutis of Calvinist forbids you from ever knowing if you are truly saved (or elect). Even RC Sproul didn't know for sure he was saved, and John Piper has never given a straigtht answer on this either to others to write to him seeking assurance. Truth is this: even if you believe there is an 'elect' chosen before the foundation of the world, you have no idea until you die whether you formed part of it.
Calvinism is a horrible theology for that reason, quite apart from trashing God's character as the author of evil and the very sin he expects us all to be morally responsible for and to repent from. What sense does that make?
Regeneration before Faith doesn't allow anyone to recognise a thresshold between being unconvered to being converted (unless, perhaps, you have a very dramatic conversion - a sort of Road to Damascus change). Not many do. So y ou rely on incremental fruits. Your fruits are just as easily sign of your glass half full to salvation as half empty to insufficient to be saved. That is why Calvinism is dangerous. You are perilously self-righteous and self-sanctifying relying upon WHAT YOU have done to be saved with fruits being evidence of your salvation. It is what Jesus did on the cross that you should look to, and there isn't really much room for Jesus at all in the Calvinist theology, no matter what they say to the contrary. it seems to me to be a duopoly of God and the Holy Spirit. Jesus just seems to provide a sort of 'window dressing' but largely powerless role to make Calvinist look legitimate. Just becuase they big up Jesus in preaches and sermons, that doesn't mean they actually walk the walk regarding what they are so very good at: talking the talk about Jesus and the Gospel. To me, Calvinist subvert the Gospel entirely.
You must try to understand what you know, not just parrot what you have been told.
