This man is a great teacher but he's mixed up on some things on this subject. Everybody's name was written in The Book of Life when Jesus died on the cross. If you die an unbeliever, then your name gets blotted out. In Revelations, when he says that there are people who worship the Anti-Christ whose names are not written in the Book of Life, he doesn't realise that's because the first Rapture had taken place and the only people left on Earth are unbelievers. The Church is raptured out before the antiChrist arrives.
@@ay613 Reread my comment. The verse you referred to strengthens my point. Christian's will be raptured out BEFORE the antichrist is revealed. Those names NOT written in the Book of Life are unbelievers that didn't get raptured. Their names were written in the book when Jesus died for our sins, but were blotted out for unbelief at the rapture. Hence: there are no believers of Christ in the tribulation so there are no names written in the book of life during the antichrists reign.

Since Mr. Arnold's sermon is peppered with "I believe that", then I guess it will be safe for me to say, that, "I believe that out of those whose names are written in God's book, God Himself selected names which He then transferred to the Lamb's Book of Life both acts being done before the foundation of the world" and that these people's eternity and salvation was not contingent upon their reciprocal action of 'trusting Christ' as Savior but rather, all of God, and by God, through Christ the Annointed Messiah.
So basically God created and chose people for the express purpose of being cast into Hell. Right? No, we don't believe that at all. We believe that a person is saved by grace and not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe a person who places their trust in Jesus Christ is saved by grace and not by a "work of faith" (Romans 4:5). Always wonder if the BORN OF WATER reference actually means the BAG OF WATER that every single person is born in. It can't mean baptism because not everyone who is saved has been baptised in water when saved. Thought?
Remission of sins comes through repentance (Lk 24:47). If a professing believer continues to commit the chronic sins that God has identified to him, he has not repented, there is no remission of his sins, and so he isn't saved. He has the faith of Satan referred to in James 2:19, but is not indwelt by God.
That verse says that there is FORGIVENESS of sins for all who repent. It doesn’t say if you repent of your sins. The word repent means to change your mind from unbelief to belief in God.
@TAYLOR-nc4uw Faith in God means faith in every aspect of God, including his Word, as the Word is God (Jn 1:1). If God has indicated in his Word that a particular thing is a sin, and a person continues to commit that sin, he does not believe in the Word, and does not believe in God. Eve believed the words of Satan more than the single command of God, and so was cast lost out of the Garden. There is no such thing as faith in God but disbelief in his Word.

Adoption:

Born again:

1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
John 3:6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Paul says adoption. John and Peter say born again. Is there any significance with the different terms used by Paul and the other apostles? 🤔🤔
Perhaps, the Jews then needed to be born again to become the sons of God by the gospel of the kingdom but now we, both Jews and Gentiles believers are adopted unto sonship by the gospel of grace given to Paul.
This man is a great teacher but he's mixed up on some things on this subject. Everybody's name was written in The Book of Life when Jesus died on the cross. If you die an unbeliever, then your name gets blotted out. In Revelations, when he says that there are people who worship the Anti-Christ whose names are not written in the Book of Life, he doesn't realise that's because the first Rapture had taken place and the only people left on Earth are unbelievers. The Church is raptured out before the antiChrist arrives.

@@ay613 Reread my comment. The verse you referred to strengthens my point. Christian's will be raptured out BEFORE the antichrist is revealed. Those names NOT written in the Book of Life are unbelievers that didn't get raptured. Their names were written in the book when Jesus died for our sins, but were blotted out for unbelief at the rapture. Hence: there are no believers of Christ in the tribulation so there are no names written in the book of life during the antichrists reign.

makes sense...except that if you have to trust Christ before your name can be written in the Lamb's Book of Life, then doesn't it follow that eternal life becomes contingent upon one's trusting Christ ? Then, it is no more of grace. Since Mr. Arnold's sermon is peppered with "I believe that", then I guess it will be safe for me to say, that, "I believe that out of those whose names are written in God's book, God Himself selected names which He then transferred to the Lamb's Book of Life both acts being done before the foundation of the world" and that these people's eternity and salvation was not contingent upon their reciprocal action of 'trusting Christ' as Savior but rather, all of God, and by God, through Christ the Annointed Messiah.
So basically God created and chose people for the express purpose of being cast into Hell. Right? No, we don't believe that at all. We believe that a person is saved by grace and not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe a person who places their trust in Jesus Christ is saved by grace and not by a "work of faith" (Romans 4:5). What you believe in is called Calvinism.

God's foreknowledge does not rule out man's free will. Each of us are free to put our trust freely in Christ and receive the free gift of salvation. Praise the Lord

Always wonder if the BORN OF WATER reference actually means the BAG OF WATER that every single person is born in. It can't mean baptism because not everyone who is saved has been baptised in water when saved. Thought?
THE LIVING WATER IS LORD JESUS WORDS
Remission of sins comes through repentance (Lk 24:47). If a professing believer continues to commit the chronic sins that God has identified to him, he has not repented, there is no remission of his sins, and so he isn't saved. He has the faith of Satan referred to in James 2:19, but is not indwelt by God.
That verse says that there is FORGIVENESS of sins for all who repent. It doesn’t say if you repent of your sins. The word repent means to change your mind from unbelief to belief in God.
@TAYLOR-nc4uw Faith in God means faith in every aspect of God, including his Word, as the Word is God (Jn 1:1). If God has indicated in his Word that a particular thing is a sin, and a person continues to commit that sin, he does not believe in the Word, and does not believe in God. Eve believed the words of Satan more than the single command of God, and so was cast lost out of the Garden. There is no such thing as faith in God but disbelief in his Word.
