This is incredible! The languages are pratically the same, but the pronounciation makes all the difference. It’s almost the same like in my country The Netherlands, where people from the west (Amsterdam) and east (Almelo) have great difficulty understanding each other.
"That's you're stupid s. It doesn't make sense" HAHAHAH totally agree
No its an s with k, j, kj or tj after the s
"That's your stupid S's, it doesn't make sense"
The same can be said about your stupid D's, G's and R's :D
tru
Som sprognørd synes jeg det er lidt lamt, at hun brokker sig over s'et. Selvfølgelig er der nogle vokaler og konsonanter som volder os kvaler, men FYI Sverige så er det her en velkendt approach når en dansker ikke kan finde ud af noget:"svin det til".
there's nothing wrong with danish R you just say p̴̛̛̳̳̹͓̜̹̈́͋͌̀͗͒̔͛̎̐͊́͘ọ̶̫̻͔͊̔̏͘t̸̯̜̗̙͉̻̻̻͎̱̆ͅͅa̷̳͊͛͗̑͗̅̾͑̋t̶̝̰̯̝͓̦̘̋̇̅̊̓̉͑ő̸̡̨͎̪͎̝̻̞̠͉̣͚͎̎͂͜
All the Danes have said a different word for "fint" :P
I can't speak for the Danes, but in Sweden, we have no real word that means "nice". We have many words that mean "pretty", like "fint" or "snyggt", but none that mean "nice". It's probably the same in Danish, which is why it's hard to come up with one word to translate it with. In real life, us Swedes just use the English "nice" when something is nice.
We have different words that more or less mean the same thing. So 'pænt', 'fint', 'flot', 'dejlig etc all have slightly different meanings, but they are usually easily interchangeable in sentences. For instance, if I wanted to say, nice dress, I could say 'pæn kjole' or 'flot kjole' or 'fin kjole'.
the swede trying to speak danish sounds norwegian haha
varför samma meningar varje video? kul koncept men lite variation vore sköjj
these are the 2 lenguages that ineterests me the most! ITS AMAZING(im dutch belgium) :D
Hahah, flera såna här! De var ju helt fantastiska :D
+shima Har spelat in tre nya som kommer snart. Kantonesiska, bosniska och turkiska.
I truly like this videoo😍😍 i started learning swedish during quaratine and i love iiitt😍😍😍
and Pentatonix is the best in the backround😄🤩
the danes can do the Swedish but the swedes stumble on the Danish--ha, ha
Danska: Världens mest osexiga språk.
Ja, det är roligt.
Nä svenska är det
det beror på vem som det kommer ur tycker jag
danish and swedish are beautiful languages.
Asså skillnaden är ju minimal?! Hur kan dom misslyckas?...
Always fun to see these ^^
Btw, I hear Pentatonix in the background :P
Se hacen un mundo cuando son preguntas fáciles.
Hahaha, he did the same mistake I did!! I'm not alone!!!
1:05 kina Grannis singing in the background!! :D
Pentatonix i baggrunden
2:41 I have read that pronouncing "skägg" as it is written instead of pronouncing it "hwayg" is acceptable in Swedish, but this may depend on your dialect.
cyndie26 Nope would not be correct at all, however ’sk’ isn’t always pronounced that way, in many words it’s pronounced as it is written. But in this particular word it is not
In finlandssvenska it is pronounced “shayg”.
Love these videos!

Dejnish
Winter hymnal was in the background
Swedish lad is adorable :D
He talks way to fast and mumbles. I would never be able to hear what he's saying, haha!
This is a very funny experiment, since I'm trying to learn danks, norke and svenska at the same time. My native language is spanish but I know german too, so german is my starting point to other germanic languages.
Swedish sounds more straightforward, as the relation of what's written and what is said is almost the same, but with danish I noticed some strange sounds that were not written.
Daniel Kohkemper Yes Swedish has a straightforward spelling, and German is similar in this, as well as other, respects. But English would actually also be a good starting point: Both languages have the same basic subject-verb-object word order, as well as other syntactic similarities, and have hundreds of everyday viking words in common. The languages also share thousands of (slightly more esoteric) french words.
Sven Ekeberg I've heard that saying that norsk, svenska and dansk are pretty much the same language is a major insult, is that correct?
Daniel Kohkemper Not really. A minor insult to some strongly nationalistic individuals maybe, but probably not even that. Don't hesitate to say it, because most are very happy with it, and It is true...
Sven Ekeberg That's good to know, I still find funny or interesting how these people have a hard time repeating the other language, as if it's something completely different. To me the similarities between these languages are even greater that the similarities found in Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Anyhow the Scandinavian languages are beautiful and very interesting, taak for your insights.
+Daniel Kohkemper I would say that norwegian is the most straight forward language, in terms of pronouncing what is spelled. Then comes swedish, and lastly Danish. I'm danish myself.
Hmm..
the title for me is "Swede tries to speak Danish - Dane tries to speak Swedish" and i'm a Swede. Do RUclips automatically translate titles?
Anyone else notice Pentatonix in the background?
Is that Pentatonix in the background??!!
Did sk and sch use to have their own letters? I know "th" has its own old norse letter, which is still in icelandic.
Denmark, Norway, and Sweden should join together, adopt English, and become the United States of Scandinavia (USS), population about 20,000,000.
No english is not needed. We'll adopt swedish. The most spoken scandinavian language in scandinavia and in the north. So english goes into the trash bin
Wtf. Why would we adopt English?? I’d rather die. How about we all just add Nordic Comprehension as a subject, and we all learn to understand each other?
With nice you can use Fedt Pent Flot
jag vill lära mig danska
Och jag vill læra mig svenska :P
Hellre danska än svenska
jag kan danska och svenska haha
Haha bra där 😂
Olof "Loffmaster" är ju så Göteborsk man kan bli, så jag förstår hans danska xD

Vadför du använder med samma meningar?
this guy is from the south of Sweden i think
Vad sa han första gången i stället för "skägg"? Den svenska flickan i den andra videon sa det också men jag fattar inte det.
+Cats are bae Tack så mycket!
LOFFE👊

Gud han var ju lite värdelös xD
loffmaster :D
Cool :)
There is a lot of Swedish speaking individuals omfg
Loffe asså xD
Ik dacht dat Denen en Zweden elkaar perfect konden verstaan?
nee hoor deens is net als zweeds met een steen in je bakkes, onverstaanbaar dus hahaha
It can be hard, but with a bit of practice it is possible to understand each other.
Just wish you hadn't the slightly blue stuff. Can't really show it to my students, "I fart" is high-school, not university humor (I like to think).
Must be some shitty students if they can't watch a video without being upset it's not "mature enough" for them.
Loffe!
det värkar inte gå så bra för olof
lovep swe Din stavning "värkar" inte heller gå så bra ;)
Det verkar inte gå så bra för Olof* ;)
