    I’m so surprised that you aren’t at at least 1 million subs right now because your videos are so informative. With just 3 videos on hair porosity, you have changed my entire outlook on my hair regimen. For the longest time, I knew that I was doing something wrong with my hair because it just didn’t look or feel right. I kinda thought that I had low porosity hair but I wasn’t sure because I couldn’t find much information about it online. Girl, your channel gives me life. Thank you thank you thank you soooo much!! I’m going to try all of the products and methods you recommend so keep these videos coming :)

    My favorite is Apricot Oil. It is very light and absorbs in my low porosity hair better than any other oil I have used.

      I have medium fine hair that's mostly coily. The top of my hair is a lot looser than the rest though. I use apricot oil sparingly also I get from the health food store which is usually around $7 and that absorbs better than anything I've tried so far but I do want to try some other oils. I don't know if almond oil will work but that might be the next one that I try

    My hair doesn’t like too much oils either. If I add too much coconut oil my hair will look super greasy and limp. I also can’t tolerate too much protein either. I do love Avocado oil a lot. Thanks for the info.

    I was actually researching the most penetrating oils for some DIY hair products and found the website and graphic you presented. Thank you for keeping those with coconut oil intolerance. My hair doesn't like it, I wanted to love the Coconut water penetrating treatment from Camille Rose Naturals, but it just sat on my hair. When I use coconut oil on its own, my hair becomes so hard and it makes my scalp dry. Almost every brand uses coconut oil in their products 🙄, I'm over it! Even Shea butter gives me a hard times, sometimes...I can get away with some products containing coconut oil when it's in low concentration. I love your posts because I'm low porosity too (extremely low porosity), some of your advice has helped me, so lots of gratitude 🙏. 😘

      Arabesque Jacob Yes I can definitely understand. Almost every other conditioner out on the market contains coconut oil in the ingredient list which is a big no no for my extremely low porosity hair. I think that my hair is on the lower spectrum of being low porosity because even aloe don't work on my hair.

    Thanks for this very informative video. I've finally found a RUclipsr that I can relate to in terms of only using two/ to three ingredients to seal depending on what is used. The lo method or loc verses medium oils and lighter leave ins. I've discovered that if I use a medium oil then my leave in has to be extremely light or thicker leave in = lighter oils. I appreciate that you're educating us low porosity naturals about how to care for our hair because the information that you give takes years to notice by trial and error.

    THANK YOU! I'm a white girl with low porosity, coarse, curly hair and my hair LOVES a final rinse with 2 T Aloe Vera + a few drops of raw honey mixed with about a cup of warm Distilled Water after using Cantu (free) Shampoo/Conditioners. I can't use leave ins but I can add a TOUCH of jojoba or argan to tame fly-aways after my hair dries. I own just about every oil in existence recommended for skin & hair and wasted so much money because nothing works better than tried & true - Olive Oil for hot oil treatments with a heat cap because it will actually soften my hair when every other oil does not.

I have low porosity protein sensitive hair too and every single thing I look for is made for the black community so I take the advice anyway because it seems the most appropriate... The only difference is I obviously don't have the curl type so I don't know if I'm ever doing the right things, but olive oil seems to work well for me too as a mask and jojoba at the end to seal :). My hair won't tolerate coconut at all, or aloe Vera as I'm starting to understand.
      I'm interested to see if grapeseed could work!

    Great video...I appreciate this. The only oil my low porosity hair HATES is coconut oil. For some reason coconut oil makes my hair feel very dry and brittle...unfortunately most hair products have this ingredient which makes it a bit hard for me to find hair products that work. I kept thinking my hair would just start liking it but nope...my hair just feels like straw after I use it. Luckily not everyone I purchase from used this oil in every product they make but most do.

    I’m typing as I watch the video but sorry if you already answered this... is it good to mix a few oils and use that for you hair? Like if you mixed 5 different oils (ex. jojoba, grapeseed, etc) together and apply that to your scalp, would that be more beneficial than using just one? Like would they dilute the effects of the other oils in there

    Coconut oil , olive n almond oil is very bad for her though it depends upon person to person … coconut oil gives massive hair loss n thinning if person hair is protein sensitive

    Thank you for the information! I’m also low porosity and protein sensitive and so far I have only discovered grape seed and Argan Oil. I do need something a little heavier for the colder months. I’m going to try sweet almond oil. I want to really love oils but I get buildup so quickly it’s frustrating because I have dry scalp in the winter.

    • @kimmcfadden7679
      @kimmcfadden7679 Год назад

      Your scalp may be dry because you're packing in it with heavy oils and blocking the natural sebum that comes out of your pores. When that happens it can lead to seborrheic dermatitis which on the surface make you appear to have dry scalp but it's quite the opposite. Try a dangerous shampoo like Nizoral I Neutrogena shampoo and stop oiling your scalp. Instead apply light oils either to your ends of your hair or mid shaft on your length of hair and I bet just your scalp will clear up...

      The beast and the west I don’t think an oil will work to treat protein overload. I would say to stop or reduce products with protein in it and coconut oil for now until your hair recovers
