      Iyda Michael I check my strand of hair... so it’s floating that mean is low. I want to start defining my curls. It’s just that my ends are not curly like the roots of my hair I really want to revive it instead of cutting big chunks off. Because most of the time I never have time for my hair all I do is wash condition and blow dry out instead of leaving it to dry naturally and I don’t have time at all but now I want to start revealing what my true natural hair is. I never knew things about hair so I’m ready to start looking after it. Plus I once in a while but more blow dry

    Another great and informative video Iyda. Thank you. Still struggling but I feel like I’m making progress which is the most important thing. Watched a video by another YTuber Bria Larine on how to Deep Condition, tried it on Saturday, and it’s been a REAL game changer! 😍 Heating the deep conditioner made a WORLD of difference. However I’ve tried spritzing with warm water to apply leave-in and the results are not great at all, so I’m gonna try heating that too as one of your commenters said, and hopefully that should work. My hair cuticles are just constantly in lockdown mode, but I’m a true believer that perseverance pays off, so I just keep telling myself that ONE DAY I’ll get there! 🙏🏽

    Shea moisture has a new low porousity shampoo and a low porousity rinse out conditioner and low porousity leavein detangler and conditioner. I've been trying them out in the last month and they really make my hair soft shinier more moisturized, but the curls become limp and lose a lot of their definition.

    My plan is to go protein free, after watching one of your vids, however am finding it hard to get protein free products in UK. Can anyone suggest protein free products that are affordable?

      Solange White Hey, my hair had been suffering recently until I realized I have low porosity hair. My hair used to be manageable until I became a RUclips product junkie.
      I used to deep condition my hair with One 'n Only Argan Oil HYDRATING Mask (I made the mistake of using the Restorative Mask which contains Hydrolized Keratin; my online research revealed that most Restorative hair products are protein based). This past week I decided to go back to my deep conditioning routine using the Hydrating Mask (sat under the dryer for 10 minutes at the salon) in addition to a moisturizing shampoo and wash-out conditioner.
      Let me tell you, my ROOOOOUGH edges and super thick roots (just took out a 3 month sew-in weave) transformed to soft, detangled and manageable after my blow out 👍. It may or may not work wonders for you, but if you can find it in the UK, get it and see how it works.
      (Sorry for the super long post, but I know what you're going through and I really hope it works for you. Good luck!)

    • @skrefurbishedinteriors
      @skrefurbishedinteriors 7 лет назад +3

      Thanks for recommending those products but sadly I can't get them in UK! Not Amazon no where. Only place I saw one was eBay but the postage was like £100 no joke haha! Yeah so now my eye is on tgin honey mask and leave in conditioner! I had vowed never to be a hair product junkie but but my cupboards are full to the brim with products that didn't work! Good thing my little girl has 2c,3a hair and they work amazing on her hair! But gurl my wallet is not happy. Am at a point of investing in a good easy day to day wig and chill with it!xx

    Thanks for you post!! I have low porosity 4c fine hair and I have just started the maximum hydration method. It’s A LOT though. I have been watching your videos. Your “before” pic of your hair is exactly like my hair right now. How did you get it to grow so long? Also, your hair at this point seems to already be at “max Hydration” and you have a curl pattern and not much fix. Would you recommend continuing the MHM until my hair can retain moisture? I really don’t like the wash and go gel part of the MHM. Also what has been your experience with Apple cider vinegar? I am using the Bentonite clay mask without ACV. Have you had adverse effects from ACV. I never believe that you could have my type of 4c low porosity fine hair and actually grow it and have it be healthy so thank you thank you. I hope you take a moment to answer my questions. Kind of lost in limbo at the beginning of this journey

    • @IydaMichael
      @IydaMichael  6 лет назад +3

      I personally dont like the MHM because I think that is too much manipulation and to much work to be honest! In regards to ACV, I do not use it in my Bentonite Clay or any other time because it has a very low pH level (very acidic) and lowers the ph Level of the product that you mix it in and closes your cuticle. Because I have low porosity hair and my cuticles are already closed, it doesnt make sense for me to further close my cuticles. I deep condition my hair with heat every week after washing my hair. Consistency and patience has helped grow my hair and help retain the moisture!

      @IydaMichael  7 лет назад

      NovaDoll really?! I’ve never heard of this before, blow drying makes my hair so dry. How do you use the blow dryer? To stretch it just to dry your hair?

    • @kimmcfadden7679
      @kimmcfadden7679 3 года назад

      I've heard that you use a blow dryer on low heat or maybe even the cool temperature my hair is so low porosity I don't need a dryer, it dries very fast. Also going outside and letting the wind dry your hair. ... Just the breeze you know in a warm enough climate is good to take advantage of especially if you're going outside exercising taking a brisk walk.

    • @NovaDoll
      @NovaDoll 3 года назад

      @@kimmcfadden7679 If I let my hair air dry it will take 2 days... I Just high heat and dry it. My roots are very coarse so it causes my hair to mat to my scalp.

    • @kimmcfadden7679
      @kimmcfadden7679 3 года назад

      @@NovaDoll ... Just a suggestion...
      If the hair dryer is making your hair hard, I'd say stay away from that thing. You probably need to l put all your products on your hair well wet and then plop it you know on hey microfiber t wall towel you can use that doesn't rough your hair up (like the regular bath towels) and try to get as much moisture out of your hair as possible and then you could twist it up and sections and it looks like it's pretty long so Il you can make it look really good you know. Just twist it up and then just do a high ponytail let it dry that way...
