God, please let there be a decent present time storyline this time. Ever since Desmond died, the thing got so detached from the present time that we actually had to play a whole game, just to make a Pirates of the Carribean parody for Abstergo...

I wouldn't mind if they took like 2 years pause and made an interesting story..I lost will to play after the death of Desmond.. It was all so mysterious and then they rushed it

I like how the civilians do respond to you when you're in "stealth mode" but then all of a sudden they couldn't care less about you when you stab someone and very obviously try to hide them from the other badguys.

They probably won't be. It has always been like that in Assassin's Creed. Real shame though! Always just feels kinda weird when that sorta stuff happens.

They actually did fix this in the end. Now when the spot you killing someone or ever just pointing out a gun they freak out and run. And also they gather around dead bodies saying obvious things like "someone has died here!" lol
What I expect of this gane:
-NO bugs (an impossible thing for ask, but is expected to)
- A DECENT PRESENT DAY STORY.
- A very GOOD story.

Kyle Dunn That's why Quality Assurance is a thing. People test the game to make sure it runs smoothly before release. We can just hope that their QA will learn from what happened in the previous game.
vickytaspartan I found a hilarious bug in rogue. I brought my sword down on an enemy and he floated up for a second, then shot up into the sky. It was hilarious.

Doge Gaming Yes, it seems so, but what about the present day's assassins? What happened to them after Desmond's death? They're infiltrated in Abstergo, yes, but what are they looking for? And Juno, what is she planning? I mean, she wants to possess the body of someone, and it stays there. Since ACBF the present day plot seems to be lost. At least in my opinion.
Really looks huge and epic. Hope, it can live up to the hype! Fingers crossed!

This looks like an AC game that's overall more focused in a specific style and game design sort of idea if you will. Obviously we have no idea about how the actual open world nature will be, but as in terms of the gameplay itself of traversing, the cities style, the responsive combat, and stylized and sort of serious yet also not story, I think this might actually be a beginning of a transition for Assassin's Creed to maybe finally live out it's true potential that it's always had? AC 1 and 2 were always good, don't get me wrong, but the later ones got so stuck in these typical Ubisoft trends of open world games with just horrific game design and overall awkward story telling, but this might just change that. It just also seems that everyone on this studio might feel a bit more focused if you will overall, at least the lead designers and what not, like an example with how every street corner is to tell a story etc., I really dig that. I feel that it's guaranteed to be better than Unity guys, don't worry about that, and in fact, might just be one of the best AC games to date overall. Though we'll just have to wait and see.
William Lazerdust They got rid of the multiplayer in this installment. So it looks like they can focus more on the single player campaign like they did in AC2 and Rogue.

Jai Edward Kapoor Really, the same reasons as Black Flag. It's the typical Ubisoft open world game. It's an open world game filled with endless of boring, oh so extremely boring and repetitive chores to do with a story that is certainly not interesting nor really pulls me in in anyway to speak of, at least not when the pacing and its connection between gameplay and story is so bad to begin with. It's overall design around the gameplay is that of a focused, very focused and beautiful game with fast paced and a great connection between the player/protagonist and the game world, when the actual gameplay itself is as clunky and half done as ever, and being none of those great things I mentioned. It's a very sort of work made title with no heart nor risky decisions made within it to make it unique, interesting, or just in general fun. It's designed to just be another Ubisoft open world game that's designed all of its mechanics to depend on good game feel and high, oh so high polish, when it has neither the former nor the latter. It's just a disconnected, awfully paced game with some of the most uninteresting, boring gameplay, story, and overall game feel that just overall creates an empty, oh so utterly empty experience. And despite the fact that Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 also had sort of clunky gameplay if you will it was simple enough and designed oh so well around it to bring a very cohesive, well flown and paced game that had charm and great immersion that the game also depended on, but back then actually provided to.
Certainly don't mean to shit on a game you like but, that's my opinion nontheless :P.
I always hoped Assassin's Creed Unity was shit before it came out, because of all of the people praising it. Now, I hope this one is great, for all of the people bashing it.

Feel like AC has lost its point.
Ever since Desmond died I have no real reason to play these anymore. The protagonists don't follow the creed, the stealth is more like splinter cell than AC (just use Eagle vision and pick everyone off), the storyline is too focused on the past instead of the modern day which to me is the most interesting. The soundtracks were so beautiful in the Ezio trilogy and even in AC3.
Nothing will ever be as good as AC2, but the game truly died with Desmond.
I agree. The overall plot was interesting and was worth expanding on. Now its just historical splinter cell games. They should have made separate games from the start covering the modern templar war with splashes of history and other games focused on the historical aspect. The games have now lost part of their soul.

Vivetti I'm fine with them exploring new timelines. Seems only logical and london in the 1800s does seem to add some new possibilities. That said, I still want focus on a modern/future AC with an overarching plot.

People used to hate the Modern Day storyline and wanted the game to only focus on the assassins and now they want it back? This just proves that no one can ever satisfy everyone...

I have a question and it would be great if I get an answer. Will the game have gear such as melee weapons, guns, and outfit pieces that you can change and/or buy using in-game currency like in AC: Unity, or Black Flag?
i feel like they may get rid of a lot of cool stuff from unity. Like customization of your assassin, all the bombs, and even maybe all of the interiors. It appears to draw more heavily from 3/BF/Rogue than unity

I acknowledge the fact that it is pre-alpha, but here are some things I would like to point out and hope the devs at Ubisoft will fix.
10:30 dodgy ragdolls, notice how the ragdoll's legs get jammed.
10:47 We see an enemy AI getting assassinated but from there to 10:53 we can see that his ragdoll has defiantly moved and why is one of the civilians standing on a bench?
Besides that, why aren't both of them freaking out to this assassination that's just happened right in front of them?
11:34 Odd animation instead of physics engine (This shouldn't be too hard to render) and more ragdoll issues.
12:13, again we see that the AI doesn't react to assassinations. In this case the woman seems almost bemused (also her arm clips through her model) and she doesn't scream etc.
12:23 Enemy AI has a rough transition in animation.

12:39 fellow assassin doesn't crouch or try to follow Jacob's stealth approach.
12:51 No speech at all from the 'thugs'.
13:08 Pretty sure that revolver shot would have torn through his skull.
Also quite unsure what Jacob's grab and throw downwards move is meant to do.
Confusing/Stunning his enemies? e.g. 12:57 13:16 15:23 15:28 If so, it could be used for linking his moves such as a knee to the face instead of just wrenching them downwards.
This is what I've noticed in this short gameplay video and it is purely constructive criticism not hate or bias from Unity. I'm just praying that you take note of this and make Syndicate into a great game.

They should just add horses and delete the *******-GTA-stuff. I loved any other AC-game, even those on mobile phones (last one is cz of flair), but I already hate Syndicate before it even has a second Trailer. (I'm a hardcore AC-fan and played through any of those games at least three times each, by the way)

They should make an Assassin's Creed placed in Switzerland's struggle for freedom. Just think about how awesome it would look to freerun in a world of epic mountains. : )
I kinda really want another Connor game set in 1812 because now that we're on next gen consoles it would be epic to take part in huge scale conflicts just riding through the battlefield like a ghost avoiding the cannon ball fire and cutting down soldiers to reach your target. Plus Connor was a young and brash teen and only reached the age of 27 at the end of his story so an older, wiser Connor would be epic. I feel Ubisoft left his development hanging by not showing us adult Connor after his journey.
I don't care what time period its in ill always be big fan of AC. This game will probably be one of my favorites

Suggestions for future games:
Bring back shops where you can buy better weapons/armor. Bring back the weapon wheel. Bring back the companions that you can summon and send on missions etc. It does'nt feel like the main charachter follows the creed anymore. And to finish things of don't kill all the people you're starting to like

An attempt at making up the story for this new assassin creed game.
Jacob/His sister is actually born from royalty/wealthy family (Templar influence?). Parents abandon the siblings from birth, siblings get pick up and raised by the Assassins.
Jacob will slowly learn of his birth and begin to question his status. Maybe his identity will be reveal to the gangs and they will lose trust in him. Jacob then turn against the gangs and join the royalty/wealthy family.
Jacob find out about some master plan about the Templar launching a massive attack on the gangs and he will have to pick a side. Either became the leader of the united gangs of London or ignore the gangs and let them get massacre by the Templar.
Final showdown between some wealthy boss (the mastermind behind all) or something at the Big Ben, which could potentially be a spot that contain a piece of the Eden.
Overall theme of Assassin's Creed : Syndicate - greed, status, classes, innovation, changing time, family/gang.
This one really gonna rock.. !! Feels like they have choosen the right time for the game to take place and the right kind of assasin.. Good job Ubisoft !!
this game has so much potentual for excellence. please do us the players a favor and take your time have everything working as it should and make the story line unforgettable.

I hope there would be customisations in the game, I wouldn't wanna use the Kurkri all the time I would get bored. I would like to use a baton, sword, rifles not like a musket and more perhaps replicas. And I would love to get a cooler outfit. Just saying cause the past assassins games had customisations so ya we might find out if there is customisations in the game.

Assassin's Creed games famous for its free-running, sword fighting, walking around with hoodie like a boss, throwing knives.. this past few games we dont get a lot of throwing knives.. but dont worry with this new Assassin's Creed game u can now have your throwing knives.. except less free-running(horse car), (maybe) no sword fighting, no walking around with hoodie :) PRE-ORDER NOW!

Is it actually wrong I don't have much of a problem with the new games gameplay wise? I mean don't get me wrong I loved playing as Altair and Ezio but I'm ok with the gameplay changes since it makes sense for the assassin order to change over time, I mean old methods have to be changed eventually plus the changes makes thing fresh

I'm a little hard, not gonna lie. I didn't think you guys were really putting as much effort as you are. Combat obviously needed to change, never have I played an Assassin's Creed game with perfect combat, and we've reached a point where we need change. The new engine is beautiful, no doubt, unity showed that. The stealth looks like real stealth, I've seen it like this in so many other games so it's not that special overall, but this is needed in Assassin's Creed. I'm happy with what you guys showed me, but we need to wait and see what happens with the game.
I hope they have faces this time.

Please Don't feed us with your fancy work and you're hard work. I'm a big fan of you're game i played all of them, and you made us disappointed a lot of time. what we wanna know is how good it will run on PC or Console? at what resolution quality will it run at? does it really have good improvement at all when it come to how good it runs? i got GTX 780Ti and was struggling keeping the fps at 50fps sometimes drops below 30fps on Unity, which is very unacceptable. I understand you have to put on you're sorry clothes and you're poppy eyes to make sells, but if you really care about you're fans make a good game that worth the money we pay you 60$ per game is a lot. and the DLCS... remember that some of us don't have a job or work so we have to save early to get your game, so please respect that and release a good game for once.

Actually I hope they will let us feel the philosophy and the era extravagance feel in the game rather than putting it half way in Unity, still the multiplayers mode works better in telltale stuff in ACU story mode,which I dont know it was a good sign or not

And the fact that they say this will be respectful to the franchise makes me giggle. Assassins Creed was about a story from both past to modern day. I will be watching the reviews from trusted people and find out if one is presented well.
I really hope the combat is more like in AC Brotherhood with all of those epic combo kills. I want to feel like a skilled assassin and not spend 5 minutes continuously parrying and swiping at an enemy.
