Hard disagree on WWE fumbling him. He was given multiple opportunities to prove himself with multiple programs and title wins and he did nothing with it. Rey Mysterio was marketable and that’s why he made it as far as he did despite having mediocre mic skills. The best bet is TNA. Dolph Ziggler pulled up and instantly become one of their top dogs. They've been missing that class of notable vets to clash with their new faces like they did in the early days. Give us Ricochet vs. Chris Bey. And with the door open, he'd be back in WWE off and on.
It all comes down to this: Ricochet is pushing 40. He can’t do what the young guys in AEW do anymore. He barely pops out some of his riskier moves anymore. Say what you will about the product, AEW does have the best flyers by far. The “dream matches” with Ospersy won’t be as great as people think with his depleting ability. In TNA, he’d still be the best high flyer by a longshot.

Not every wrestler is a gamechanger for any promotion. Was he a gamechanger for WWE? No. He would be better off in NJPW, AEW, or TNA. Look at Apollo Crews in WWE, he's barely been a heavily focused wrestler and when he has been, he gets pushed aside and forgotten. The same has happened with Ricochet for a long time in WWE. He's reached his ceiling there, so now is the perfect time for him wrestle wherever. Hopefully he goes to NJPW and/or TNA before he signs somewhere
AEW is basically Street Fighter 2 and the numerous editions it sold. The first game was mind-blowing and changed the landscaping of gaming. Everything else after that was the same game but with very few changes to make it seem different.
I think he's great, and obviously having Samantha in his corner helps him out immensely, but everybody needs a break here and there. If I was HHH, I'd pay him to stay out for a bit, maybe work on his promo and his overall presentation at the PC (no television, just doing some development behind the scenes), and then give him a surprise return at Survivor Series, with Roman Reigns (and Heyman) putting together a team of misfits to take on the Bloodline. And then maybe you have him steal a pin on Jacob Fatu, which would set up a Wrestlemania match.

Ricochet is a tremendous in ring player who can do things even most cruiser weights couldn’t, I think people focus on that so much they forget he has the charisma levels of one of those inflated tube people in front of dealerships. Technical skills and high flying ability can only get you so far, but if Ricochet had a manager that can handle the mic work for him he could have been greater than he was in WWE.

I really wish WWE would put some effort into making those tag titles mean something. I think Ricochet could make part of an amazing tag team champion. That high flyer who is clutch in scoring wins. Which you need in order to gain credibility. Get him with a dude who can talk a bit, or get them a manager/valet to do most of the talking. Hell Samantha is so over her introducing her fiance then kissing him on the cheek or something before the match would help get him over.

He can keep the wrestling he so desires, but he and his buddies need to move away from the creative, as it’s never moved the needle. Problem is you can't be a game changer when you are not in the position to change things. Given AEW's problems as of late, it's amazing how from 2019 to 2021 or 2022, we would be getting those "All Elite" graphics, whether it's from people who were released from WWE, or people assuming that someone will get fired. Case in point, that video of Liv Morgan running into Ruby Soho at the airport. Obviously, Liv is still in WWE. The other thing that I remember from that time frame is that AEW marks were all like, "AEW will take over the wrestling world" and "Give it a few years and WWE will go out of business." I laughed so hard at those comments because that would be impossible for AEW to drive WWE to the ground.
I mean, Look at guys like Matt Cardona and Mustafa Ali, They both got released from WWE, went to the indies, now they are both putting in the best work of their careers, It would not be a bad idea if Ricochet went to a TNA(Mostly for the X-division), MLW, NWA, and/ or New Japan, if he goes to AEW, He'll just be another Acrobat on the roster.

Not every wrestler is a gamechanger for any promotion. Was he a gamechanger for WWE? No. He would be better off in NJPW, AEW, or TNA. Look at Apollo Crews in WWE, he's barely been a heavily focused wrestler and when he has been, he gets pushed aside and forgotten. The same has happened with Ricochet for a long time in WWE. He's reached his ceiling there, so now is the perfect time for him wrestle wherever. Hopefully he goes to NJPW and/or TNA before he signs somewhere
AEW is basically Street Fighter 2 and the numerous editions it sold. The first game was mind-blowing and changed the landscaping of gaming. Everything else after that was the same game but with very few changes to make it seem different.
I think he's great, and obviously having Samantha in his corner helps him out immensely, but everybody needs a break here and there. If I was HHH, I'd pay him to stay out for a bit, maybe work on his promo and his overall presentation at the PC (no television, just doing some development behind the scenes), and then give him a surprise return at Survivor Series, with Roman Reigns (and Heyman) putting together a team of misfits to take on the Bloodline. And then maybe you have him steal a pin on Jacob Fatu, which would set up a Wrestlemania match.

Ricochet is a tremendous in ring player who can do things even most cruiser weights couldn’t, I think people focus on that so much they forget he has the charisma levels of one of those inflated tube people in front of dealerships. Technical skills and high flying ability can only get you so far, but if Ricochet had a manager that can handle the mic work for him he could have been greater than he was in WWE.

I really wish WWE would put some effort into making those tag titles mean something. I think Ricochet could make part of an amazing tag team champion. That high flyer who is clutch in scoring wins. Which you need in order to gain credibility. Get him with a dude who can talk a bit, or get them a manager/valet to do most of the talking. Hell Samantha is so over her introducing her fiance then kissing him on the cheek or something before the match would help get him over.

He can still come back to WWE but I feel like he needs to go to a journey just like Cody Rhodes and Drew did in the past before even thinking on returning to WWE again, and AEW while having a lot of feud potential in there, he will definitely be lost in the shuffle. They wouldn’t tell story with him, instead he’s going to be treated as a 5 star machine for Dave and DAVE ONLY. he has to definitely go to the indies, can be DPW, MLW or NJPW if he doesn’t want to do promos and just wrestle without people in the west criticizing too much like his time in the main roster WWE. AEW hires these guys but still pushes the same indyriffic talent like the Bucks, Cassidy, etc instead of pushing them. Why isn't Copeland world champ? That would be a game changer. They want these guys but Tony can't make the hard choices so they just float around. The ultimate proof is Punk - he had an impact for them, he also upset the wrong people and look how that turned out. There are no game changers when you won't allow the game to be changed.

Given AEW's problems as of late, it's amazing how from 2019 to 2021 or 2022, we would be getting those "All Elite" graphics, whether it's from people who were released from WWE, or people assuming that someone will get fired. Case in point, that video of Liv Morgan running into Ruby Soho at the airport. Obviously, Liv is still in WWE.
The other thing that I remember from that time frame is that AEW marks were all like, "AEW will take over the wrestling world" and "Give it a few years and WWE will go out of business." I laughed so hard at those comments because that would be impossible for AEW to drive WWE to the ground.
Sometimes you just want an easy paycheck and AEW is how you get it.

In my personal opinion, Ricochet will be doing better in the indies rather than going to AEW. The reason why is that if he stays in WWE, then he would stay in the position that he is in. If he goes to AEW, then he wouldn't be used that much rather than OMG moments. But if he goes to the indies he can be booked more..... but that's my opinion.....😅
New Japan would benefit heavily from a Ricochet return. He never got to compete in the heavyweight division, so it’d be nice to see him mix it up and be a big player like Ospreay was before he left for AEW.
