Was so excited to see you’d posted a reaction video, I yelled to my wife up the hallway, “Wolf’s done a reaction video to episode one!!” And here we are three days after watching episode one, she knew exactly who and what I meant. Watched it instantly. Please, please, please carry on reacting to the rest of the season, I love your passion and understanding for the games, and for us veteran TLOU gamers who have been blessed with this adaptation, it wouldn’t be the same without your commentary 🐺🤎
I really appreciate the enthusiasm and encouragement. It's not easy with my current schedule, but your feedback is certainly very motivating, and I'd love to continue sharing my thoughts, provided I have something to say at the end of an episode, of course. Thank you very much for the love and support. /tiphat
That premiere was everything I wanted as a huge fan of the series
Hey, Marine! Glad you enjoyed it!
Merele Dandrige’s performance translated so well to the screen. She’s a great actress
i’m so glad to see another video from you, wolf ❤ agree with almost everything here, for me it truly felt like watching the cutscenes for the first time all over again. that poor child in the boston QZ really caught me off guard & my favorite easter egg was just thinking the pills joel was taking were the ones we collect the whole game 😂 great work as always!
Thank you, Sarah. I was thinking the same thing about those pills. I was definitely wondering what was going to happen as soon as the boy appeared. What a striking scene.
Always a good day when Wolf posts a new video. Loved the review and definitely want to see more!
Yo, Legend! Always great to see you in the comments. Thank you, sir
@@WolfofThorns You got it. Hope things are well!
Welcome back 🙌, it would definitely awesome to keep hearing your reviews of The Last of Us episodes 🤘🔥
Thank you so much for the support and encouragement. It really means a lot.
@@WolfofThorns no problem
Ayy, great to see you again man! Hope you are doing great! 😊 ❤
Glad you liked ep 1, a really solid start!
Little Easter Egg that I saw pointed out by Alexandria Neonakis herself, is that you can see Sarah's Happy Birthday Dinosaur card! (At 4:14 in this video to be specific, on the table to the left).
Oh also, did you catch the clicker on the roof on the last shot? It's on the left, on top of the building
Agreed to everything you said in the video. And yeah I hope we can see more of Tess in episode 2 as you said. I might be wrong, but I think we might get some flashback with her, or at least that's what Anna said in an interview I think.
Also hope we can hear more of Gustavo's new music, I loved his sublteness in Brokeback Mountain and hope we can see more of that in this show too.
Personally, really looking forward to episode 3. (Besides Bill being in it haha 😅) I've also heard and read from multiple reviewers that it's the best episode of the season and one of the best episodes of television in general, so my hype is through the roof 👀
Anyway, great video man, you take care! 🥰
Some great easter eggs, Roger. I'll have to keep an eye out for those. Can't wait to get to Bill myself.
It’s still so surreal to see this, and it actually brings a tear to my eye just to see it brought to life in a whole new, and well made, way
Happy to see the show having such a positive profound impact on you, Dan
I was looking forward to see you take on the tv show, so happy you could do this video...keep the good work!
Thank you for the encouragement!
I missed your videos, man! Thanks for the review, I was gladly surprised by it and hope you have the time to keep producing it.
My favorite easter egg was Sarah's "I sell hardcore drugs", but explaining she actually stole from Joel 😂
I don't care that I'm sixth... FIRST!
So glad to see a video from you again, welcome back, Dan!
And always first in our hearts 🍋
I was waiting for this video! and I agree about your take on Tess, killing Robert solidified her as a bad ass when I first played the game.
Thanks, LTG. Here's to hoping we get to see Anna Torv show us the Boss Lady™ side in Episode 2.
I felt they were both watered down a little. Looking for a Battery instead of guns, searching for Tommy and how both Tess and Joel dealt with Robert in the game vs what happened with Robert in the show. The game showed both Tess and Joel as violent and ruthless. I'm not sure that came across as much in the show but it's early days and I'm still looking forward to seeing where they take it.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing what you’d have to say! Thank you for putting in all this effort! It’s such a privilege that we all get to experience this coming to a wider audience together!
Aw, my pleasure, and thank you for the kind words. I'm excited to see where this road is going to lead us all
I was WAITING for you to make a video on the first episode!
Fantastic as always!
Glad to have ya back for a bit Dan! 😁🙏🏻💜 🐺 Hope you have been well! Great review and definitely wish to see more reviews of you , sir! 😁👌🏻💪🏻 Hope to see you again in the wilderness of the mental 😄✌🏻 🐺
Hey, Firey! Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! Always a delight to see you in the comments

Fantastic review of the first episode brother, so good to see a video from you)) Look forward to seeing your review of future episodes

Welcome back king!
He dropped this 👑
Awwwww, you're too sweet.
It's been awhile, brotha!
Howdy /tiphat
Good to see you back!
🤠 /tiphat
My favorite easter egg was the clicker on top of the building at the end of the episode. Didn’t originally catch Curtis and Viper but that one was really cool too.
Absolutely keep your episode break down going. Instant watch stuff for me! Good stuff❤
Great to see you back. I've missed you on twitch. Hope you are well Dan.
Great to hear from you, Kerrazy!
You’re Back! 🎉

Love you wolf
❤❤
Great video Dan, I hope you’re doing well, friend.
I've been patiently waiting to hear your thoughts on the episode wolf, when it's about the tlou I feel like I just have to listen to your take on things, please keep on with the videos!
That's very sweet of you to say. Thank you for that. I hope my reactions to the premiere did not disappoint.
I’m thrilled you were able to put a review video together after such a long absence…after watching the first episode I’ve been eagerly waiting to hear your take. I hope you are able to continue posting reviews for each episode to come.
As for me, I absolutely loved the show, and truly appreciated the extra context added by Amazon and Druckman. I’m so happy they’ve (so far) avoided the pitfalls of most video game adaptations and are relying on “show don’t tell” to convey the story in this very different medium. BTW…did you catch the brief glimpse of the clicker at the end of the episode?
Thank you for the encouragement and support, Tim. I'm glad you also enjoyed the episode. And I did not spot the clicker, but I'll have to keep an eye out on my next viewing! 🍄
@@WolfofThorns look at the top of the building on the left side as our 3 protagonists are making their way into Boston…it’s hard to spot initially, but once you see it…
Great job Mr Wolf, loved it…
Yo, Junii! Hope everything has been going well with you, good sir
I’ve been looking forward to seeing this review, Dan! Thank you!
I absolutely enjoyed the premiere, as for the easter eggs, DVD was certainly my fave (as well as Sarah’s t-shirt..was there a BDay card? Need to watch it again 😅).
I know, right? Seeing Curtis and Viper was such a treat. That's what folks have been saying, the birthday card is in her room. I need to watch the episode again, but there's so little time these days! Good to hear from you
Easily the coolest thing i noticed in the episode is the references, however subtle, there is to things exclusive to part 2. Mainly the radio guy (or it was tess not sure) warning joel of the dangers beyond the qz, specifically mentioning slavers, which im taking as a reference to the rattlers.
Indeed, I perked up at the slavers mention as well.
im glad you're back! id like to discuss tess. while it's satisfying having a girlboss, physically strong woman, it's a critique zombie narratives often face: it disregards the reality of horror women would face in an environment as harsh as the apocalypse.
id love for myself to think i am perfectly capable to hold my own in a world such as tlou, but in reality, it's highly improbable. i enjoy that tess is feared anyway and held her head high despite the violence she endured from robert's men. that was strength that is admirable and worthy of respect.
while i understand everyone missing the badass we all know and love as tess, i also appreciate this version. women's strength is often their endurance in this world.
Please keep on posting videos (If you can of course). Your talent doesn't go unnoticed ;)
Wow, thank you!
That had to be Jeffery pierce on the phone
If it was Jeffrey, awesome. If it was Gabriel, equally awesome.
The only criticism I have with ep1 was that I found the section with Robert not quite as good as it is in the game, and I don’t fully understand the reason for altering it. I’m also curious why they’ve changed the game narrative of *possible minor spoiler here, forgive me* Joel and Tommy having not seen each other for years, into a situation where apparently they maintain semi regular contact via radio. I think the game’s motivation for sending Joel to Tommy is strong enough without the additional ‘Tommy’s missing’ element, buy I will withhold judgment until I see how that plays out.
Loved the vid glad to see more the last of us content 😂
Appreciate you, Zackary
Can’t lie, I loved everything about the show except Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Most people say they were skeptical about her as Ellie before watching but love her now.. but I was actually cool with her before the first episode, after watching though, I just didn’t feel an Ellie vibe. She’s way too wild, Ellie in the game on the other hand is chill and slightly mysterious. There are things that are good to change, but Ellie is the core of the last of us and should have the same essence.
The best show not tell us the flour. No pancake mix, biscuits? I’m on Atkins, baking cookies? We just take them but don’t try them because it’s raisin lol, cake? Joel forgot. Super cool and would be something you couldn’t do in the game, you’d just maybe have a diary entry. This type of shit is why I hope for more of it
“The old fashioned television audience are not gamers”
Damn
Wolf just want to say this means a lot to me and please keep making them. I asked my husband for 9 minutes of me time to watch this. Your take on this show > many others take.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support. That actually means a lot to me, and I hope you and your husband enjoyed what this humble narrator had to say.
That spoilers would ruin the experience of watching a TV show or reading a book is not backed by any studies. In fact knowing parts of what will happen in the story will just make you more interested in the story. Those that cry about spoilers are IMO just narcissists that like to complain.
I completely agree about Tess. I hated this iteration of her. In the game she's so powerful and headstrong, but in this game she relies on Joel.
Personally, the more I've thought about the show the less I like it. But that's just my opinion. It could be great for other people and hopefully it introduces people to the game.
Dude, she's literaly the exact same person, the only diference is that they make it more explicit that she and Joel are a couple.
