Hi from the UK, I fitted a right hand drive option for my EV6 about 6 weeks ago, after a week or so I lost the wifi link. I contacted customer services, tried a few things but could not resolve. However new unit sent in the post ( took 3 days to come) and after a quick change of unit, all is working well again. So in short great unit but also 5 stars to the customer service team (all via email) and quick resolution when problems do occur. Great video, keep them coming Iain
I wanted to add the rear cam to my order after it was placed. I contacted FITCAMX customer service and they said no problem. I paid the difference and they sent the correct kit. Their response to a couple of questions since was very fast as well.
Another great video! I didn't know these type of "OEM style look" cameras existed and just plug and play. I think I will see if an EV9 one will come out, super sleek. Is that App free no subscription required? thanks!
Installed the FITCAMX 4K front dash cam and 1080p rear cam kit in our EV6 a few weeks ago. Coming from top-rated VIOFO dash cams I have to say that the video quality is about as good - although it doesn't have as many options like GPS, parking mode, etc. The front install was very easy, the rear a little more challenging but not that difficult. I also bought the CPL filter from FITCAMX - it really helps to eliminate windshield/dash reflections. I love the OE look. So far, so good! Thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work! 👌
As much as I want the rear cam too I'm planning to tint my back windows to be darker so there isn't any point. I just wish there was a factory option or a way to tap into the stock cam. That would be awesome.
@@HighOnCars1 Maybe yes, maybe no. It all depends on the system's capabilities, as in what chips it's using and what can be implemented. No different, in fact exactly the same, as any computer system. If it's not capable, no software updates will change that. Would be nice though.
I've also installed a version on a 2020 kia niro PHEV. They weren't sure it would fit and we traded photos etc. Ordered it and it was not a perfect fit. The car's camera pack was a bit too thick for it to close properly. So it is mounted at the back but not snapped in at the front, a bit of sticky tape to hold it in place. Works fine. There are fitcamx Dashcams designed for other car brands and models too.
Good question. My EV6 is in the shop for repairs because it was rear ended. I'll check once I get it back in 2 weeks. If I don't respond in about 2.5 weeks, please remind me.

App is free and works well.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I believe for the EV9 the built-in cameras will be used as dashcam like the Tesla.
The app is free.
@@HighOnCars1 That would really be nice. The cameras are already there... might as well put them to good use in all of the EVs.
I always wondered why they didn't do it with the EV6. They still can. All they have to do is add the capability via a software update.
@@HighOnCars1and the memory card or usb drive will go where? 😊I heard it's available in South Korea. They just didn't bring it over to the States.

I don't know why Kia didn't do that. The cameras are there. They can add the capability with a software update.

@@volcalstone Depending on the percentage tint, a rear cam may work fine.

Yes. They cater to a variety of vehicles.
