Reallly liked how you turned on the exterior lighting when you raised it on the lift… production creativity! That torque experience during the beans test must rival the space shuttle’s liftoff. Love the exterior color. Great review. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
I know a lot of people hate EV’s, but I am glad you review them. If we could gets get more infrastructure then EV’s will be a lot more popular. It’s nice to see on get such high marks.

Oh yea, they can also remotely shut your car off whenever they want, be it the government, police or hackers.
I very glad Miss Sarah wasn't squished by the car on the lift, because car reviews wouldn't be the same with a flattened Sarah. Surely, a personality that can never be duplicated.
I’m so glad you enjoy reviewing EV’s! I just bought a used model 3 here in NH (merchants Hooksett if you’re familiar with southern NH) for a killer deal because it sat for 3+ months. Not much public charging past the concord area yet. It’s made for a great A-B daily!

The EPA rating is very easy to beat. I have an EV6 GT and I am getting 3.4 mi./ kWh for the first 700 miles of ownership in mixed driving. With 74 kWh of usable battery, that equals over 250 miles of range. I drive mostly in Normal mode, which has plenty of power, with occasional bursts in GT mode. This is a wonderful car. Thanks for your expert explanation of the motor windings - very interesting. No other reviewer has pointed that out.
I literally just put a deposit on one of these and I'm so glad I came upon this review. Ultra informative highlighting interesting things that no other reviewers have prior, including some really cool tech knowledge. Found myself cracking up on a several occasions throughout too. Really well done!
I’ve had an EV6 for 2.5 months (GT-Line RWD cuz range). It’s pretty awesome. Ditto on Meridian. It’s not a loud/boom system, but it has excellent positional accuracy and reference quality. The frunk fits my lvl1 cable, tire mobility kit, V2L adapter, and a Tesla to CCS adapter. My kids put up their roller coaster arms, and i remote back them out of the garage. I also always win merge contests. My 2023 came with the charger, though I would like a light that illuminates the charging port.
Ditto on the unlit charging port. It’s annoying to fumble around in the dark trying to plug in, and having to use my phone flashlight to find the the button to close the door. That’s a small complaint though, and maybe the only one I have. The EV6 GT is a great car.
@@joshdumond6073 ChargePoint, required a 48a breaker in a 60a slot (20%) overage for code. It’s basically installing a dryer plug. I get approximately 9.5kW/h.

12:30 Thank you Sarah. You're the first car reviewer I've heard recognize that the batteries will lose charge over time. If you're leasing, no big deal. But if you're buying, that's a significant concern.
The Kia high voltage batteries are covered for 10 years / 100K miles. In that time I believe the battery is covered if it degrades more than 35%. In practice, there are 300k mile Tesla Model 3's with 80% battery range remaining. Which is adequate for most. This EV6 also uses a heat pump, which extends range in cold climates. Electric Vehicles are getting better every year.
@@SarahnTuned yep and there’s no recognised way of assessing the health of used batteries. Found a link to this review on the Kia EV6 forum, what a detailed yet fun review! I'm thinking about this vehicle solely for the performance, but overall quality is important too. This video covers all very well. I have a feeling I'll be watching more of your reviews :) And thank you, now I want a red hand finger pointer..
To get full power you need to pre-condition the battery and let the gauge build up. And the range I am getting is 252 on back roads and some highway Kia is being very conservative with that range
That was a fantastic review of the suspension components. I wonder how it compares to the competition, especially the Tesla 3 I'm looking to trade in. Suggestion - I wish you could provide some data, even if it's only a lookup of the specs, on the braking distance and comparison of the competition. And then cargo space. Thanks for the as usual very entertaining review.
The EV6 GT as well as the GV60 Performance also have a drift mode. Also a launch control. Not that it really needs one, given, that they both have enough power. But they are there.

Just small note for your units, it's kW* for charging speeds. kWh is a measurement for the capacity of a battery pack, while kW is the measurement for power output or input.
Charging powers are stated with kW not kWh. Also, EV6 needs a 800Volt charger to hit it's peak (around 240kW), of which the 350kW charger is the closest.
Just FYI, @14:00 kWh isn't a charge rate. kW is what you mean to say. kiloWatts, that is. kiloWatthour is the amount of kiloWatts delivered in one hour, and it's used to measure the size of the battery, or how much total charge was delivered to the battery.

Eagle F1 tires on 500hp awd 4700lb car. Bet they last under 10k miles. All in all, can't see the advantage of basically financing 8-10 years of gas at time of purchase given the extra cost of an EV

The bolstering is probably in the top ten cars you've reviewed over the years, particularly for the price. Once the charger infrastructure is expanded, EVs like this will be hot sellers for many drivers.
I just don't understand why they decided on such a short range, it's so short that I bet it's actually a deal breaker for a lot of customers. KIA has really been stepping up their game lately though, from a brand I would never have considered 5 years ago, to making one of the most desirable affordable cars these days. The problem with "tuning" EVs is that its a simple calculation - more power + less range. The most real gains are from reductions in wind resistance.
