@@rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach thank you so much. I feel so strongly that I’m on the right track… finally after 10yrs of CFS! I’m so passionate about this that I really want to help others heal when I’m recovered. This is my true calling. Plus the wealth of experience I’ve been through over this 10yrs is so valuable & helpful for others. Even traveling to Cyprus to a treatment centre for 4wks did nothing for my symptoms at all. I could write a book on all my experiences with trying to heal. I’m seriously thinking of joining the live cohort next month as I really miss being part of a community. I’m in Australia so I think some of the zoom meetings are at an appropriate time. I’m very limited with funds being on a single parent pension but I’ll see if I can afford it. I have been working through mind-body TMS work for couple months now. What I find a block in this work is ‘doing things of joy and play and if symptoms arise, ensure safety using tools etc’. However, I have symptoms 24/7 - a constant head pressure / tightness and a fatigue level that interferes with my vision, which I understand is the all day ‘background fatigue’ that Charlotte refers to. @@rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach amazing! Thanks for the reply. I have had blood tests come back abnormal, but there doesn’t seem to be much that can really be done? Like high cholesterol, hyperthyroid but very mild, reactive EBV, high endothelial growth factor, low VEGF, eyes are fine, brain and neck MRI show it’s fine. Neck ultra sound, heart ultra sound all seem fine. Not confirmed with pots. Do others have these abnormal blood tests and still heal? I’m so devastated if I can’t fix my neck and head no matter what I do tried 38 therapies I’m hoping this work might help ?
@staceypollack808 Hi! When symptoms persist for years after an injury, it's often due to learned neural pathways in the brain. We can change those, thanks to neuroplasticity! Many people without pain have structural abnormalities and misalignments (like bulging or degenerative discs). Those aren't necessarily causing the pain. I've seen lots of people feel well again (even with severe scoliosis) through this mind body approach. I'd love to support you! www.rebeccatolin.com/course
I find it hard trying to focus on the symptoms aren't dangerous with pots . My heart rate jumps to 160 i am trying to learn how to navigate that. How did you get to where you could walk with pots?
I have pots from long covid that is almost all gone. It’s very scary watching your heart go so fast plus all the other symptoms that come with it for me it’s insane dizziness and lightheadedness. I had all the heart tests done and found I have a great heart. Once I had that, whenever my heart would start to race I would tell myself “my heart is going fast I’m feeling all these things but I am safe.” It’s way easier said than done. It’s taken a lot of time but instead omg my heart going to 160 when standing it’s now 120 which is major improvement. It gets better every day as I continue to tell myself I am safe. And I don’t believe it all the time. Sometimes I’ll say instead “I’m feeling all this right now but it’s temporary this will not be my life forever.”
@amyknox7387 my heart test have all came back good as well. I have thought about adding b1 as well as brain retraining. I wish you continued healing I believe I will heal as well and I believe you will as well
I developed pots after covid a few years ago. The more you focus on your heart rate the more it will stay elevated, now that you know you’re heart is healthy just look at it as a way of your body protecting you and a distraction from strong emotions, it’s a false alarm. It’s not dangerous! Most importantly I made the mistake of staying in bed for so long bc I feared it, keep moving/exercising gently, and doing things you love that regulate your nervous system for example meditation or walking out in nature. Good luck :)
