The Woodland Elf. I am almost finished. I have made few changes. and I have been working on full Mandolorian Armour so have used silicone molds to craft parts of the helmet. I then stopped working on that to finish my vader costume. that I have finally got finished. so back to the Mandolorian.
So for my Walkman what I did was print out one like yours, but I used thicker cardboard and glued 4 together so there would be more stability and that I couldn't accedently smush it. Then glued the picture to the sides the front and back.

You can probably use any jacket if you distress paint it, because the paint will help make it look leather-ish. Just make sure the jacket is made of a fabric that isn't going to suck up the paint too much (so nothing 100% cotton). Or if you have a Salvation Army near you, you can also check in there. They usually carry fake leather jackets for around $10 or $15 there, and then just paint it the red and brown mix like I did with this one to give it that distressed look.

where do you buy your distressed fabric from?
JoAnn Fabrics. It's usually back near the pleather and other costume-type fabrics.

Did you coat the blaster with glue before you painted it? It really helps a lot if you do.

Try watering it down a bit, sometimes is helps it go smoother.

Yup, if you don't have pellon, craft foam will work fine too. Use the 2 or 3mm foam.
