In this apprenticeship I teach you how to make the Sony Walkman that made a come back thanks to the wild success of The Guardians of the Galaxy and Chris Pratt's awesome performance in it as Peter Quill aka Star Lord. This is a really awesome looking prop and will be the perfect build for your up coming Star Lord Cosplay!!
This build is made of easy to obtain plastics like Sintra and is made of Comic-Con friendly materials . So no matter whether your Star Lord cosplay will be for a Convention, to watch the Infinity Wars Movie or Binge watch Guardians of the Galaxy for the 10th time, or for filming a fan film this prop build will hold up to the closest of scrutiny and will blow minds when you show them you can put your phone in it and actually play music!
The materials are easy to work with, takes minimal tools, and can be done in your apartment or a small space as you can see in the video :) You don't need a lathe or other large woodshop or metal working tools to build and it is stronger and more water resistant than paper, cardboard or other materials.

Haven't listened to the whole build yet, but do you explain the door hinges?
Wahooo!!!! You are the best!!!! I didnt get any footage of making the hinges. You can either use some from the hardware store or I'd be more than willing to jump on and chat or show you in a live video how to make them! You rock man!

might i make a request of a diy video on the blasters? cos others just repaint store bought ones and i was thinking about making from scratch :) (p.s. i love how the walkman finished, i love how it can your phone)

Hey im just wondering if the templates would work with eva foam?
I think it would totally work with EVA foam. You would probably want to use like a 5mm or 6mm EVA foam so that it is not too thick but still holds itself up pretty well :)

but starlord got a ipod in the end with 1000 songs in his pockets... so the Walkman is useless now...
