Crappy video or not, you did an awesome job describing installation and the VERY important fact that you need to reuse the dome assembly with the new mount. I've looked at all the youtube videos on replacing mounts on my truck and no one ever mentioned that until I found yours, and it makes perfect sense that you need that center tube for bolt alignment. Even though your video is almost 3 years old, it is still helping guys like me replace these things. My 99 GMC Sierra cab mounts have been discontinued so this was the only way to go. Thanks again for your great video!
The thing to watch out for, I believe, is the upper metal cap oval stem. Mine the last 1/4" was rusted off. If not mistaken, that stops the crush when the bottom flat washer contacts applies torque
I have an 01 2500hd ext cab 4x4 gas I want to do new poly bushing what all I need to buy. Other then new body bolts. I also add frame mounted step bars. No shims?. Ty
No shims unless ur mounts are rusted out. I had to make 1 for the drivers side cause it started sagging thru the cab mount. Otherwise the kit should come with oversized washers. Ebay is ur best friend. As far as ur step mounts, they should back on how u have them set up already. Hope this helps
Dalton M hey I’ve been reading ALOT of mix reviews .. some say it rides like shit with the polyurethane some say it’s like new.. how’s it riding for you
@@abelscaliber7969 new means stiff, gotta break them in. They did suck at first but when it came time to sell the truck; everyone said how nice the ride was for its year.

Thankyou. Straight and to the point. Getting ready to change running boards. I might as well replace mounts while I'm there
