Door wouldn't lock so u have to shave down the worn plastic tail it creates
99-05 chevy/gmc 4x4 not working, service 4x4 light, ect

This i believe is for the bigger trucks. The 1500s may have these same problems.

01 gmc 2500hd but this is similar for 99% of vehicles with upper control arms.
99-03 gm center console parts obsolete

Anything from gm for this style center console is no more. U can't find replacement parts and hardware. I have tried searching from the depths of gm giants with no luck.

Bolts are 5 inches long and couldn't find replacements at my local hardware store to I bought a 10pk for 22$ on ebay. Bolt size is m12x1.75 x 130mm
6 high mod (99-02) fogs RIGHT WAY

I'm pretty above average when it comes to vehicle electrical and other videos just seemed like something wasn't right. So I did one myself and this is the result. 99-02 gm products with fogs to automatically turn on with you low and high beams.
Great info. brother.. I dreaded going under dash but I can take just disconnecting push rod. Many thanks.
Do you know where I can get a plunger for my 98 GMC k2500 hydro boost it was left at the parts store
Did u hv to bleed lines.
I bought a new one from autozone and it was leaking worse than the old one. If they do it again ima have to get my core back and replace the seals
I think this little gay guy you mentioned in the video is riding it the other way around, the top would have to be down.
How far in the casing does the star set in there
I rebuilt mine then the O-ring started leaking in one week. I put a remanufactured dirt last on there from AutoZone and it started leaking immediately. What would cause my Hydro boost valve to leak? Would it be the power steering pump or gearbox anything like that could cause that
I had that happen to me in the past when I first started rebuilding these. Double check ur work (cliche I know). Sounds like either it's not sitting flush from the bleeder not pushed in all the way or the o ring is folding inside when ur putting the plunger back in thru it. Make sure to lub the plunger well. My guess is the oring is folding and that's why ur only getting a week's worth of use outta it before it goes bad again. Good luck lmk
@@daltonm4896 the second one was from autozone
@@daltonm4896 what do you mean sitting flush what karts are you talking about
@@richardeddings7259 there's a bleeder that has 3 holes. Make sure that's pushed all the way in so when u put it back together it sits flush to the housing/mount on the firewall. And make sure to not fold the new oring when putting the plunger back thru
@@daltonm4896 I rebuilt the first one but the second one was already rebuilt by Duralast. I think I'm not priming my system with the engine off both times I've primed with the engine on probably have air pockets blowing out O-ring.
Maybe chew louder, I almost couldn’t hear it.
Do you have the link for the gaskets
I'm doing mine now same way. But the lower piston don't seem to be going into the new seal. I don't want to force it. I'll keep trying unless someone has any feedback for ways to help
I loke you way better. Hate going under the dash
I think this is where my 05 yukon xl 5.3l is leaking from about to tackle it now.
The correct socket for the bolt is an E-Torx or External Torx.
The thing to watch out for, I believe, is the upper metal cap oval stem. Mine the last 1/4" was rusted off. If not mistaken, that stops the crush when the bottom flat washer contacts applies torque
3yrs later and still helping people. Thank you for the extra info about the plunger part, i don't believe anyone else covered that part.
But you didn't show how to get them to seat flush. That's what I'm having issues with in a 2010 Suburban 1500
I was able to get my pins to seat flush. Here is the video I found that worked well for me. Not perfect, but it got the job done. watch?v=AEi7hQwqd_M&ab_channel=KikoGonzales It's not a link, but copy and paste. Then again, if you can't figure this out, you're probably not fixing your own car.
Thanks bud I appreciate your video!! I've always wondered what it would take to fix the leak looks simple way way better than replacing it!!
They now mfg a pneumatic bushing
Thank you
I have done mine twice,I used a different maker, cost a few bucks more. Both times no leaks for about three weeks. Then dang thing starts leaking really Bad.first oring/seal did have a smashed spot on it.
Thanks, you saved me time and money 😊
Glad I could help 👍
Does this leak cause a whining noise?
Other way around. It'll start winning cause it's leaking
It's a wonder these ever became leagal for production. I've had one brake in Florida with no rust. Lucky I didn't crash. The design prior to this from the 60's to around 99' was so much better. It was a control arm with a shim behind it on a stud. And it would never come loose
Seems like way less work than the other videos on here
Folks!!! Those are just marking pins. In no way does it retain the alignment settings.
Sooooo ur telling me your "marking pins" and my "guide pins" arent within the same descriptional category in the Webster dictionary 🤔 ur one of those who scream "I'm ASE certified in" types
@@daltonm4896 hey. Believe what ya want
I never said that either!....just that they DO NOT retain the camber, just to guide and align with the cam bolt eccentric
@@daltonm4896 lol!....guy referenced the dictionary!! 😂
It is correct tho. The 99- 05 gm trucks didnt have a camber or caster individual adjustment. It was a camber AND caster guide pin that really only corrected just camber. I took my 01 duramax with a 6" lift on 38s to a old head's shop that didn't even have the laser alignment rack just the slide plates. The guy said the 2 pins were sheared off that guide for the key. End result: replaced them, put back stock tires for a more aaccurate alignment and never had a problem after 👌
You lost me.
It is a small plastic tube. with insulation in it
Your kit came with bolts?
Sir...i have hard steering to left only and turning right is normal....will a bad hydrobooster cause this?...thanks
How many gaskets 1 or 3?
I buy the 3 seal bag but u can buy the entire rebuild kit which has like 10+ seals if u wanna do a full rebuild (not recommend) the 3 bag 99% of the time is all u need and it's the inside plunger seal that goes bad
How many is used out of the three bag. I'm so confused!
@@jaysmith7526 I don't see how u are confused? There's 3 pieces. Ur thinking to much an depth 1 seal/gasket garment, for the mount to housing 2 seals/gssket garments, 1-big and 1-small depending on if u have 3500HD+ or regular hydro u decide which one u have after u pull the plunger put. Important: don't ram the plunger back in after u installed the new inside seal. Take a "pick" like I have in my video and gentle roll it back over the seal inside. Good luck
@@jaysmith7526 You use 2 of the 3. There is an extra one bc as Dalton mentioned there is 2 different size for heavier or lighter duty applications. When you pull the old seal out you will match that seal up to the size of the correct new one and thats how you know which one to use. So again, TWO of the TRHEE in the kit get used.
How can I activate the DRL with the headlamps, but also keep the auto DRL feature?
I’m wanting to turn my keys up all the way but I get a lot of camber causing my wheels to turn in from the top I have a 4wd Chevy s10 does any one know how to fix it ?
I completed it leaving it mounted, great help here not to forget this piece, also don't forget to hook up the plunger not like I forgot.great great help here, btw 10mm did it for me, keep it square with the bolt
Appreciate it. I try to make videos but bad with replies on them. Glad I could help 👍👍
Was it a pain when mounted
@@chillingwithzay182 no, not at all.just remember when you separate it will still be under pressure, put a rag below on top the inner fender well
i got mine on Amazon
those kits from energy suspension are short two sets of bushing they will sell what they say is kit but once you recieve you will find it lacking
Thank you for this video. It help way better then all the others I've watched on here
Thankyou. Straight and to the point. Getting ready to change running boards. I might as well replace mounts while I'm there
detail please
Link please
Sorry this was made awhile ago. I don't have the link anymore
Cannot find these replacement parts anywhere. Super frustrating.
Dude you shouldn't be doing these videos, damn good thing you are not a school teacher, our children would be very mixed up.
I had no idea what hydroboost was . I ended up putting dye in my power steering fluid and then I learned. I hope no springs or anything else falls out as long as I'm careful. Am I correct in assuming this ? Thanks.
I wondered if this could be done without removing the whole unit, like you did. Thanks alot.
Oh my god you chew loud as fuck!
do you plug the relay back in?
Yeah the relay will hold it in place
I just bought 8 for $35 at Oreillys
How can I get the highs and lows to come on at the same time when I flip on the highs. What number in which relay to what number on what relay because your fuse box looks Exactly like mine so how did you do it. 2000 2500 Sierra 6.0
ground the yellow wire on the drivers side low beam its that simple.
Yes they'll have to share the common ground
How did you open the door lock? Please make a video. my washer model is WM3670HWA but the door lock looks similar (but not the same). Thanks.
Crappy video or not, you did an awesome job describing installation and the VERY important fact that you need to reuse the dome assembly with the new mount. I've looked at all the youtube videos on replacing mounts on my truck and no one ever mentioned that until I found yours, and it makes perfect sense that you need that center tube for bolt alignment. Even though your video is almost 3 years old, it is still helping guys like me replace these things. My 99 GMC Sierra cab mounts have been discontinued so this was the only way to go. Thanks again for your great video!
Would this work on a 02 Tahoe if the front end is different and if so do the daytime running lights come on too with everything else
