  • The body mounts on my 02 silverado had rotted and collapsed.
    This happened just before winter so I needed a quick and cheap fix. I was unable to find a replacement. All the steel was scrap pieces that were laying around. I created a second vid for the other side mount with a more permanent fix. • Chevy truck body Mount...

    Dude, thank you so much for doing this, I've got something similar going on with my truck(with winter coming as well) and this is just the ticket. Also, thank you for posting a video of a regular guy working on his back in the driveway like 95% of us instead of tricked out shop with every tool under the sun. Way to keep it simple and no music, just the work.

    next time use ridged paper from dollar store to make your side templates then trace it on your steel plate and then youll have a 1 piece bracket, will save you a ton of work and much stronger with a perfect fit

    Hello, I tried to find the video of you removing the bolt of the cab mount that snapped off . Did those sockets get the bolt out? I have the same problem on my 99 chevy blazer on the front cab mount. There is no access to the top of the cab mount, they sealed it in metal. Thanks for your help.

    • @JGD16
      @JGD16  8 лет назад +1

      I'm not sure of the location of the body mounts in your blazer. In some vehicles you can pull back the carpet and cut a small access hole in the floor right above the body mount.
