You did very well!…My girlfriend collects those type of houses and you got a great deal Have not been to an auction that took 50 cents bids in years…sure don’t see that around here 😃 I rarely check anything on my phone before bidding, most of what I buy to sell is rather obscure which also probably cuts down competition from people that would bid against me
GREAT HAUL!!! FANTASTIC!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅Can't say enought good things about this sale! WOW!! I bet you were even still in shock when you got back to the van....😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Wow, you were really lucky with this auction! I would have been tempted by the old glass birds with the clips to clip onto the Christmas tree at 6:13. They are typical Christmas tree decorations from the village of Lauscha in Thuringia in Germany and can be up to 100 years old. I wonder if they were also produced in the USA or were they imported? Very nice auction, congratulations on your purchases! Gabriele - Berlin
I wish live auctions would come back to us I am about 1/2 out of Toronto Canada & they are all online still. Great score lots of good stuff there happy you got great deals!!!
I learned something new from this video. I didn't know that Longaburger made dinnerware. I really enjoyed seeing all of the vintage Christmas ornaments. They reminded me of some that my late grandmother always had on her tree. There were 13 ft ceilings in what we always called the Icebox room because it was always so cold in that room. The tree almost always was as tall as the ceilings and there was bay windows in that room. I would have loved to have some of the Disney ornaments, especially Mickey Mouse. ❤
Another fun-to -watch episode, Renee. I don't know much about the things you're looking at, but I enjoy hearing your enthusiasm especially when you show what you've bought! It looks like you had a great day!
You did fabulously well Renee. The houses will look great with lights in them. I collect Lemax Village and put moonlander bulbs in them. The Christmas decorations were beautiful too. ❤🐨
...so glad you did well, and now, its bunking in for winter and doing due diligence to reap profits from an exceptional auction ... waiting for the next adventure .. jes' sayin' ...
I have a couple of the Army FM (Field Manual) medical publications...the one on wound treatment in the field and field hospitals, shows the REAL horrors of war...not starched uniforms, polished brass and handsome leading men! Baskets and dishes=ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ to me! The collection of the mini buildings is interesting, I have a group of the ceramic houses and stores from the 80s-90s period, they are very neat, use them on the mantle and with the train set up. I remember so many of those tree ornaments. Some of the doll furniture I'd use to seat a couple of my plush fr-gs! I see a vintage toy piano that looks very neat. Wow...great haul on those cute buildings...glad you are keeping them...great for Christmas and other holiday decor! Your neat fr-ggy gift is happy in his new home...and he has lots of company! I'm sending you way a couple of pieces having to do with Christmas and Climate...will be going out next week.
Glad the frog had a safe journey across the States! California had another shake-up the other day, that's one way to wake you up from a nap! The little homes I won would be perfect for a train set. I had to clean them up a bit, a few spiderwebs and previous occupants were inside, but now they are good as new!
Well some nice deals, dollar store tea lights fit in the little buildings? I had never heard of Longaberger baskets till Taco found some, and didn't know that there was more to the company either till you mentioned it. Is it regional? The colours on your jacket was nice combination. Stay warm & dry 👍👍
I am not that knowledgeable about the history of Longaberger, just know that many collect & so prices can still be rather high in both buying & selling. One piece at the auction sold for over $100!
I felt bad bidding against the woman, as I thought they were going to sell for much more. When no one else bid, I jumped in & was glad that I did! People were after the Putz homes, so that’s where the money was spent.
@@PaperandMoose where she made one low opening bid and didn’t counter to yours I’d say she wasn’t that interested. My guess is she was going to resell them and figured for $4 she’d take a chance. Clearly they went to the right person and now you can enjoy them for years.

I think that for me, personally, looking up everything gives me even more anxiety at an auction! Sure, I do look up some items, but then I take chances on others & are surprised every now & then by something in a box that I bought. That’s what makes going to an auction fun! Hope that you have a nice weekend, Verette!
That's a great auction Rene.🎉😮 I'm so happy for you to get such good items for cheap.👏🤯🤔👀 You really crushed it.😍 Love the ephemera and photos of the war time dental assistant stuff.😳🥰 People that stay on their phone looking everything up usually miss out.😢😩😁 Fantastic job today.👏 Take care.👍🔥❤️💪👌
I LOVED that little green dry sink!! I have some of those chalkware buildings, I got them at GW about 4 years ago and I LOVE them! Some of mine still have the red cellophane on the windows. That was a GREAT auction!!!!
Great auction day with a lot of Christmas items. And you also made some pretty neat finds, e.g. the Norman Rockwell charakter doll. I like his artwork, though some younger folks are saying that it´s a little bit old fashioned. Did your relative also own some of his original graphics or even a painting ?! 🤔 I love your excitement on the tiny house collection and the assortment of photos, congrats ! 👏 This was really your lucky day, so enjoy your treasures and have a wonderful weekend ! 🌝 Greets from GER, U.
No originals in the Norma Rockwell collection. Plates, porcelain dolls, ornaments, the porcelain figures, but no originals. I forget if they were on some type of "plan" or if they just bought what they liked. The little girl & the doll "doctor" always was a favorite of mine, I think I liked the girl's outfit! Some of the pieces were also purchased through Avon, perhaps they had the collector plates? Today I'll be enjoying a little night out - going to a hockey game!
I am not sure how many OMG moments in this video, went to an auction a while ago. Was outbid by a dealer, and a lady intent on getting two totes of vintage mags I wanted, for $400 dollars. She was kind enough to give me some at the end if I didn't bid against her. Those prices were crazy!! Well done you. love from Australia.xx
