Holy mackerel was that house packed. Too bad Tony couldn’t get it as a clean out, you would be in heaven. Thanks for taking us along. Sad thing is, a builder will probably buy it and tear it down.
*Deep, creepy voice* “A lonely road. A Grail picker too long without sleep. A Lost house choc a Block with dizzying goodies…..” ( come back Rod Serling!) That was a head spinner, Renee. Kudos for managing to sift a few things out from that ‘miasma’. Cool stuff too. The framed cards were my faves..😊
Have to agree with others this place was not only crowded with Treasure Hunters but Wow what a lot of Stuff!! Looks like they had everything in this place . Not a lot of elbow room to move for people and stuff . Me I love thrifting and finding pretty ornaments and stuff at a great price but to be there before the sun even comes up I likely couldn’t pull that off . Kudos to you and those who are able to . Really great treasure Insaw on the video That I really liked ! Thanks for your wonderful and friendly content . Laura in Canada 👍🏻🫶🏻😊🌺🌸🌼🍁🎃👻🇨🇦🇨🇦
I really wanted to reach over your shoulder on this one! What ever was in that McDonalds bag in the kitchen cupboard where you grabbed the Strawberry Shortcake mug will forever be a mystery. I was a Raggedy Ann and Andy book series girl. They were very old but my little self in the early 80's loved them. They were like from the 1920's so I'd have to ask my mother what some of the things were they talked about. I saw a Holly Hobby-type doll just before you found the Shimmer doll, too, I might have grabbed. That Shimmer doll made me laugh. I think I missed out on that stuff by about 15 years or so. That Sprinkler ashtray I would have absolutely grabbed, too. What a great place. I do hope you get a chance to go back for another look through. Probably worth it. You found some goodies!
That was insane! I think I would have a panic attack it was so crowded with stuff! Hard to believe anyone could live there. I actually thought about the safety factor with so many people in the house at the same time.
OK Ms Moose, you put me into sensory overload with this episode. Seeing all those keepsakes out reminded me of my childhood when I went to visit with my pastor Dad older people who were called shut ins and had so many keepsakes out and I was always told not to pick up or break anything and of course at times I failed to follow instructions because everything looked so neat. When I saw the plastic covered chair I recalled a similar chair with the same type fabric and my mother covered it with plastic. I think the company that sold such plastic coverings had a name starting with Butter something or another. Anyway you took me down memory lane for some fond memories.
What the heck...now that´s a bit tricky to get into a digger´s delight like that. 🧐Was it worth the trip ? Definitely, because in my opinion this property was packed with interesting stuff for reasonable prices. And you got a whole bunch of treasures as well for resale or for your personal collection. I like especially the old ashtray with sprinkler, the Santa mask (you might clean it carefully with pressure air), the bathing beauties and, not to forget, the Phillipsburg documents. 😃Hope that you practiced your personal kind of haggling. 😉 I like it when customers try to haggle a little bit, except the brutal variety ("That´s all scrap, anways, I´ll be generous and give you five bucks instead of fifty"). 😆Keep it up, and go ahead to new adventures ! 🤞Greets from GER, U.
I was excited to dig through the upstairs & the garage (what could have been in all of those boxes!), but I understand the homeowner's concerns. They have a long road ahead of them with the house on the market, so hopefully they will have another sale. Not sure if they would do a buyout deal, offer a lumpsum and get the entire contents of the house. But then again, if one can't get into the basement to see what's there, you could be buying treasure or a room full of mold and mildew items. I wouldn't have guessed as a teenager that the mall of my youth would be no more, so happy to find pieces of history from it. The entire mall, besides the Kohls store, is torn down and piles of rubble. A warehouse will take its' place, no doubt. I still have my name badge and lanyard I wore at my first job there, my own "ephemera" of sorts.
I would have snatched the Beatles book in a heartbeat. Being the oddball I am, maybe Santa should be winking. How on earth can you accumulate that much stuff??? Glad you had a good time.
You might try to clean the Santa with a bit of corn starch. Sprinkle it on and let it sit for a few minutes. Turn it upside down and shake gently, then brush off with a very soft brush, like a make up brush. I've had success with this method in the past.
So many awesome finds! It's hard to pick my favorite but I definitely love the Strawberry Shortcake mug and all of the Halloween goodies!! I would absolutely have to keep the mug :) I had a few Jem dolls when I was little too.
OMyGod Renee. I can not believe all that stuff in the cabinet's. And the doll's in that house. The collection is unbelievable. But for the thing's you found is amazing. I just love watching you find cool stuff any where you go. God Bless you Renee. Maybe you could return one day and find more cool stuff. Take care. HUGS 🤗❤️. Mari'a. ❤️🤗❤️🤗👍👍👍👍👍🌺🌹🌺💕💕💕💕
Love the items you were able to take home. I am like you at these filled homes, I am overwhelmed with all the items. As I watched you video, I was interested in the monkey plush sitting on the couch, it looks like Vintage Curious George Knickerbocker plush. So much good stuff to see. Amazing to think what is on the upper floors. Renee, Thanks for sharing . I had not heard of a diggers sale before so I will be on the look out for these moving forward. Have fun on your treasure hunts & continue luck.
Boy, you were not kidding a diggers delight. WOW!! I'm a glass "breakables" person. It was hard for me to watch you pass the breakables up. I'm also a holidays person too. I would have bought so much. ☺️ Thank you for sharing. I know how hard it is to film and hunt at the same time. I'm a RUclipsr also. You got some good stuff. ☺️💖✨️
Wow! Did that home look like that while the owners lived there? Almost could qualify as a hoarder house. Imagine if you and Tony and Taco Stacks could wind up cleaning out the place!
For cleaning the santa, might try Pledge. I've used it on books, and photos with good results. Just try a small spot, spray it on a cloth, and gently rub it. Worth a try.
My cousin worked installation fire extinguisher in commercial buildings government buildings in the state of Minnesota. Made me think of him retired now. 40 plus yrs . Hard work . Shoulders shot to keep public safe . Great find
Looked like a great idea to keep it to the first floor. Too much stuff to look at. I think there will be more sales there, they will bring items from the other rooms in to the floor they are selling on. Keep an eye on that place, maybe even give them one of your cards along with a Tony and a Taco card. Never know, you may land it.
Wow what a lot of amazing stuff in that estate sale. Yes Renee, you need to go back if they have more sales or better yet, offer a cleanout with Tony and Taco Stacks 😊 that would be a great bunch of videos 😊😊😊
Renee, there is nothing wrong with that Santa as long as you call him a winking Santa. As you know, winking Santa's, winking angels, winking elves, etc were a big thing with Japanese Christmas imports in the 50's. I didn't even know he was meant to have two open eyes until you said it and I would have no problem displaying him exactly as he is. You mentioned that the company was giving the shoppers a time limit. I am curious what that time limit was and whether or not you went back through a second time after you were forced to leave. I am surprised that the estate sale company was so quick to haggle that severely with people considering it was the very beginning of the sale and the company was going to be paid a percentage of the total sales. Thanks for sharing this fun digger sale experience!
About 18 people showed up for when they opened, so they let in around 10-12 of us. Some people walked in for only a few minutes and then left, so they let everyone else in. They did mention if they would have to do a time limit of shopping, it would have been around 20 minutes.
WOW❣️ Hmmmmm……most interesting. So many things but so little time. I can relate to the potential overwhelm of a homeowner with so many things. Glad you were at least able to pick up a few really nice finds after waiting so long to enter. Hope you’ll make a good sale on Santa. Thanks for taking us along. ❤️😍❤️👍
I agree digging at sales is so much fun I will choose a sale with boxes of stuff before I go to one that is organized There was so much at the sale today, I think it would have taken me all day to scour that house 💜💖💚🇨🇦🦩 Stay Happy 💫✨🌟✨
WOW Renee👍❤ I am really feeling for you😍 I will have to watch this video again! I couldn't see well enough to see everything🤩 I would be overwhelmed in a good way!

I dont know how you found that little witch holding the pumpkin without really digging in there. I love ya!❤😘💞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌️
Sadly, even when you advise “at your own risk”, accidents still happen. Can’t really blame them for wanting to avoid any problems, but would have loved to look upstairs!

I see many listings for sales in towns like Toms River, but that's a bit of a drive for me. I'd have to probably go down the night before, stay overnight, so as not to be driving on the GSP at 3am :0)

Thanks, Buzz! Good thing I didn't come across any radio spirits out there either! Sadly, I talk to myself much of the day... perhaps I can consider them work meetings! Haha
Overwhelming! What did the estate look like before the items were put on display for sale? Where were all the things stored, was there still room for the residents? Where do the residents go now? You found some really good items to sell and for yourself. Congratulations! Did I hear Toni's voice in the background? With love from Berlin Gabriele
I asked if the homeowner was still living in the home, but wasn't given an answer. Based on the photographs listed for the sale, the house must have looked like this when the estate sale was contacted. The company cleaned it up a little, I think mostly in regard to making a path to walk and removing any trash.
@@PaperandMoose Thank you for taking the time to reply! I was just surprised at the large volume of objects in such a restricted space. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be more auctions in the estate and that you will find many more treasures!

Wow, a lot of collectibles! Liked that everyone was friendy and polite while shopping. Nice finds and thanks for the video.

This was amazing! What a collection. Hopefully they will bring things downstairs from the second floor and have another sale. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tour! Fun to see so many vintage goodies.
Wow! That place was packed! When I go into places like that I make myself dizzy trying to look at everything. It's very overwhelming, for sure!
Wow! Such great vintage treasures, but so overwhelming at the same time.
What a fun day digging! Are you sure Santa isn't just winking, instead of missing an eye? Great find just the same.
I thought he was winking, too! Paint on some Iashes under the eye and call it good.

The orange kitchen!! 🍊 🖤

Plastic on the furniture, haven't seen that in forever.😆
I would take an Ikea bag to make it easier to carry stuff while you shop, this was a good one. hope they have future sales and you get to go to them
I do have an IKEA bag, just the fabric version. The blue plastic ones make too much noise & that noise is easily picked up by the camera.
I saw a Rosbro scarecrow candy container I so wanted to grab! Fun sales and you got some cool things.
Completely missed that, darn it!
