Urban Ledged is that: Pearlman has loaned her a Stradivarius.
IMHO she is worthy of a Strad.

I think this clip is amazing. I have heard many young violinists and would be prodigies both live and on RUclips. In my opinion this performance ranks with anything I have ever seen or heard. Her raw emotion is quite moving and genuine. Moreover, the fact that she can communicate all of that emotion and stay in perfect tune throughout elevates this performance to exquisite! Bravo!

A reincarnation of Heifetz even in the way she plays. Eyes riveted on the fingerboard and the bow technique too. Looks like the hand of Heifetz playing, You can check this on old Heifetz film

I wonder why Andante is missing and whether Leila ever heard maestro Kreisler playing this peace of his. He played a lot more variatively and more interpretation of every phrase. But she was only 13, after all. It comаs with age.

this is sick its so good. she is a machine. intonation amazing. bowing impeccable. she plays this better than most adult professionals for absolutely sure. only nitpicking, i did not like the choice to play the chords at the end so slow. they can be the most exciting part. also she skipped section 2 and 3 which would have been nice to hear. but overall, um completely mind-blowing. so amazing. bravo! bravo.

I don't understand how you could listen to a13 year old give a performance like that, then turn around and instantly critisize. I don't know you personally, but I'd bet money that you can't do anything as well as she plays this piece, at 13 or any age.

Am I the only one that feels this video was sped up? Not much mind you, just a little. Watch the conductor. During some passages he conducts with unnaturally fast hand gestures. It looks choppy. I am not bashing on Josefowicz. She is one of my favorite violinists, and I have great respect for her.
