We Italians are so proud of the musical geniouses that came out of Italy over the centuries, and Ennio Morricone is right up there! But you Danish should be proud of your National Symphonic Orchestra. They're bloody great, and did an exceptional job here. It was epic!!! Very, very well done. Respect from Italy.
I confess that I watched with tears in my eyes. I have never seen a symphony orchestra perform a song in the smallest detail. 100% exactly the same as the original of the great Ennio Morricone. Christine and Tuva sing too much, the whole orchestra is sensational and Sarah, beautiful and very talented, conducting everything brilliantly. Congratulations to The Danish National Symphony Orchestra.

You are right. The soundtrack album, on 33 rpm record I bought years ago, is nothing short of fantastic. The GB&U is great because of the music and the music is great because of the GB&U movie. Perfect.
You really can't appreciate a piece of music without seeing how it was made. The cameraman knew exactly when to focus on certain musicians as they played their parts. Even the guy who was clapping two pieces of wood together at 1:42, with such a minor role, was seen and heard. Gives you such an appreciation of the vocals, brass, strings, percussion, bells, and keyboard that fo into this complex song. Great job.
there were probably multiple cameras and they combined all the recorded tracks together to make the final video. Also, the music score tells the cameraman about the part of each instrument too. :)

Ennio Morriconne was one of the finest composers in the 20th Century. I first heard these songs over 50 years ago while watching the Spaghetti Westerns with Clint Eastwood. The theme from the Good Bad and Ugly and the Ecstasy of Gold were my favorites and I still get goosebumps hearing those masterpieces. This orchestra is superb.
Orchestra was great, but they needed more volume on the singer. Barely heard her over the playing. Not like Susanna Rigacci who also sounds like she got a more powerfull voice.
How is no one talking about the fantastic soprano soloist in the second part?! Amazing breath control! Such a marvellous piece, amazing musicians, but her performance makes me well up every time. Brava!!!
ooohh yeah , Maja .. i agree , ...bloody ,,.. breath, taking ... oops ... sory about the pun , ? .... Your so rite ,, And all the rest of orchestra , is brilliant ,, i love it heeps ..... Good call ... love ya work ...
What a dazzling work of art! All done with human voices and orchestra. No synthesizers, no computers, just people! The woman who sings the "wa wa wa" has to be the best whistler in the world. And a live performance to boot. No mistakes. Just perfection. When the music shifts to the piano theme, it just instantly evokes scenes from the movie in my mind. This music is timeless and elevates the original film to a higher plateau. Ennio Morricone - genius! The mannequin hanging from the ceiling was a nice touch LOL!
She is certainly a very very good whistler, certainly in the top 5%. I know, because it took me 7 years of practice to be able to whistle like her, along with perfect pitch and whistling out and in so no breath needed. Even she can whistle for 15 minutes without getting sore and after 5 minutes of advanced whistling I need a break lol
Amazing, magnificent. I sent this to my Dad to cheer him up as he was having some tests for a very serious health issue he has been battling for many years. This is his favourite music from a movie scene. Every member of this orchestra should be so proud; to bring some happiness into this unforgiving world with this masterful display. My Dad loved it, it made him happy; that makes me happy. Thank you.
@stormy, Though I totally agree with you, I do however think that the dislikes are for the type of music and not the abilities of the Orchestra. You just can't please everybody.
@A Light Skin With Taste Either you try to reach the level of the talented woman or give up and concede defeat or play neutral as a trans. The choice is yours. That's what u need to understand.
When you hear this performance you cannot think about the piece of music which of course it is unique. It is the performance that is mind-blowing! Ennio Morricone used only instruments and produced an amazing piece. Here though we have a voice far better than any instrument! Just brilliant!
If I was in attendance at this show, I would be tearing up just because this is just best conducted orchestra to play this unforgettable piece of music and a beautiful tribute to the legendary Ennio Morricone.
Their performance is perfect... the Orchestra gets inside in the spirit of the movies and into the mind of the composers, as in this case the great Ennio Morriconi...

She is certainly a very very good whistler, certainly in the top 5%. I know, because it took me 7 years of practice to be able to whistle like her, along with perfect pitch and whistling out and in so no breath needed.
