- Today we are going to test if the Ferrari F2004 with slick tyres can beat the fastest lap in F1 history which was done by Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes W11 in 2020 at Monza with a time of 1:18.887 and an average speed of 264 KM/H. Enjoy :)

It’s amazing how limited the f2004 was with grooved tyres!
@@joaovictorramos5582 actually was Bridgestone…
You know that's is just a stupid game? Didn't you? Fool
Imagine the f2004 with supersofts
It would be a torpedo
It would absolutely cook those tyres. The F2004 was designed with an effort to try and put as much energy as possible on the Bridgestone tyres ( the Bridgestone tyres which were also developed to match the charactristics of the ferrari cars and michael schumacher's driving style ), the tyres which would've been much much harder than the current pirelli tyres. It's not like you can say < ok i'll just balt on a set of slick pirelli tyres on that car and go 5 seconds faster instantly >. Nowadays, pirelli develope the tyres for all of the teams to make sure there aren't big differences between how the different cars work the tyres, and it's down to the teams to make a car that works better with the pirelli tyres. Whilst at the early 2000s, Bridgestone was basically making a tyre for Ferrari and then also giving those tyres to their other custumers. That's why Ferrari was always the only bridgestone team to fight for wins and titles, whilst on the other hand Renault and Mclaren were both using michelin tyres and they were both fighting for wins and titles.
@@mohammadhosainusofimotlagh6168 Yes, mostly true. Buuuuut, Ralf Schumacher did just fine in the new Pirelli's in his old 2003 Williams even with it being de-tuned.
@@brolo7234 Ralf was matching race pace for 2022 Austrian GP. Ralf is 47 years old, the car had 100hp limited off, 2k RPMs were cut off and the car is approaching 20 years old. There is still A LOT of time left in that run, and remember that 2003 cars were 3-4 seconds slower than 2004/2005 cars. I know fans don't like to accept it but 2004/2005 cars were the fastest IF their full powers are unleashed. And just remember that the 2000s cars are built on regulations intended to HEAVILY slow them down, while modern cars are built on regulations to increase speed; wider chassis, wider tyres, wider rear wing and slick tyres.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we want to see the F2004 with slick tyres at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit
well, these pirelli tires are extremely grippy than the previous ones, right?
So, how about we put this car with this set of tires to do a "sprint race" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway against Indycar and CART?
Joshua Nekrews' time is 1:16.309 in a Ferrari F2004 with slick tires! You're 2.5 seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton's 2020 pole time in Monza!
For all those saying it's exaggerated, I think it can match the w11. Rubens did a 1:20 in 2004 for pole. It's close. Very close.
But track was 1-2 sec faster, other curbs and track limits
Haha Montoya did 19:5 while the grooved tires are limiting it
@@Smzxe AND wider chicanes, 1,5 sec, too.W11 much faster than 2004-cars (mainly through tires).
@@pollemarBut he also had to carry around race fuel in quali...
Considering the 2019 and 2020 cars only got ahead of montoyas bmw in the 2nd to last corner shows how fast the old cars were
How does the game Calculate the grip level between Slick and Groved tires ? I mean slicks have more Surface … therefore more Grip but does it get calculated by the the surface area ? Or is it just a number that is. Switched to the Slick number ?
0:38 the car almost rolled over!!!
I know 😂😂😂😂
@@Nekrews51 it’s still a game and not reality. The 2004 Ferrari has to beat it in reality.
@@ngungu2341 Doesn’t matter you can still test things for fun, Everyone else does it 🤷♂️
@@Nekrews51 yes
@@ngungu2341 Oh yeah let me just buy an F2004, buy Pirelli slicks, fly them out to Monza, rent time at Monza and drive this inhumanely fast thing real quick
With hypersoft you get 2 seconds and 1.14 💪
You don't need to add DRS or ERS to the F2004 it's just wrong.
It doesn't have DRS or ERS.
It's a game. Anything happens
I feel like these slicks are unrealistically grippy with this mod😂
at turn 7 f2004 is 14 km/h fater than SF90 with more aerodynamics 🤣🤣🤣
@@joaovictorramos5582 the F2004 is way smaller and way lighter
Its the RSS physics, no? I thought you guys said RSS has the best physics out there for AC, or are they suddenly not realistic
@@R9naldo RSS tyres use a different balance to make the car as realistic as possible when it spins out or anything
@@biggendrift3426 yes and this mod has the F2004 physics altered to fit the RSS tyres. Suspensions especially
You should try in my opinion Jeddah
Keep fighting Michael 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🐐🐐🐐
Yeaaaa boiiiii😂
2.5 SECONDS….
I remember that time when they came with grooved tyres, they explained it as they wanted to slow down the cars, because they were too fast. With slicks especially F2004 is an unbeatable beast. Ferrari could try just for a show come with one of F2004 and put it on the track in 2023, just to show how it would do today :), I think they could also make a DRS on it. It would be amazing :)
I always wonder how close to reality these sims are
Pure Perfection ❤
Can you try w 11 with v 10 engine
It just looks unrealistic and exaggerated with slicks
hear me out. F2004 with drs, ers, slicks, and an 8th gear.
That is the best forrmula one car ever the F2004 and Michael Schumacher ..........The Goat..
epic
Here are some fun challenges (some more lap records for you to try and break):
- Adelaide Street Circuit
- Albert Park Circuit (Melbourne)
- Fuji Speedway
- Hungaroring
- Laguna Seca.
- Nurburgring GP.
- Imola.
- Sepang (Malaysia).
- Hockenheimring (Old & New).
- Zandvoort.
Go for it. Have fun!
at turn 7 SF90 does the same at 188 km/h, having MUCH more aerodynamics than the F2004, which in turn does the same at 201 km/h. many lockups on this videos if was real life
Look how fast it is even with 7th slightly limited for the home straight, and you want to use DRS AND ERS as well 😂😂😂
That'll be mental, nearly 1150hp with DRS open?!? 400kph Monza?
Is that a mod you need to ACC to put that map on the screen while driving on the right hand side and the lap time/odometer on the left ?
Can f2004 take Pouhon flat out?
Oh man you actually listened and made this video thanks so much
Np :)
What is the mode for wearing a slick tire on an old machine?
1.16 this is just mind blowing 🤯 how good was this cars
Well the fastest lap with grooved tires was 1:19
F2004 best f1 car ever!
F2004 was the best F1 car ever created!
You could long 7th gear abit further for a 370kph Monza home straight.
Yep Schumacher reached 368 and Montoya 372 in Monza 2004.
@@blackwidow7804 Yes also official speed trap record in a race at Monza 2004 was Pizzonia in a Williams at 369.9kph, apparently after the speed trap he was up to 372kph, but don't quote me on this as that speed wasn't verified.
And still all without DRS
Dude in my assetto corsa the f2004 with the grooved tires can only go up to 313 kmh its crazy how much faster it gets with slicks
Tires dont improve top speed lol. F2004 top speed in Monza was 368 km/h (Schumacher). Only the BMW Williams reach higher top speed of 372 (Montoya).
PLEASE WHAT GAME IS THIS, SO AMEZING!
THANKS SO MUCH
Assetto corsa :)
We can make:
Km/h = mPh????
Try Nurburgring but not only it includes the Nordschleife but also the Sudschleife (Gesamtstrecke)
Without Drs and Ers
Wtf this graphic
What mods are you using? Amazing!
Can you sent me your pp filter for assetto corsa?
Now do w11 with same weight as f2004
Impossible. You would have to make the car MUCH smaller, remove the hybrid nonsense and fuel flow limits.
Slicks are worth about 4-5 seconds on a dry track.
Source
Waaaaaay faster
Put on DRS too
obviously it can but due to it's slightly heavier than current car
what are are you talking about they were about 200 kgs lighter
@@advayakandpal8550 I'm talking about the 2022 spec cars (so i apologised this error)
Sorry to say it, but the F2004 would not reach anywhere near 354 kilometers per hour on that back straight, with or without slicks. Charles Leclerc ran the F2003 at Abu Dhabi with slicks, and it was about 8 seconds slower than his 2022 qualifying lap time. The F2004 is only a couple of seconds faster than the F2003. With or without slicks, the V6-era cars are just faster. Sorry.
Charles wasn't pushing at all. Also, he is not used to that car anywhere near as much as Michael and Rubens were. In any case, the F2003 on slicks would be much faster than the F2003 on grooved tyres. At least 2 seconds. And the F2003 on grooves isn't 10 seconds a lap slower than any hybrid F1. The back straight top speed is hugely limited by the entry speed from Ascari, which slick tyres help mitigate.
F2004 top speed in Monza was 368 kmh in training. Montoya in BMW Williams reached 372 kmh. So what are you talking about?
i think its a bit exagerrated
I love the way people have this concept that the 2004 cars with slick tyres would have been the fastest ever. Do they forget that the 2020 cars had aerodynamics and power that greatly surpassed the V10 era including the "2004 cars". Would actually love to see a real lap of the 2004 cars with the 2020 spec pirelli tyres go full pelt around the same tracks the W11 set the records on. Garauntee you the 2020 Mercedes will still leave the F2004 trailing.
the power in total surpasses the v10 era, thats true but its only available for a fraction of the lap. on average the 2004 cars have more power available over the entire lap, and they were much much lighter. they have a better power to weight than the "total power" 2020 cars, much more if you take away the ers system, which isnt available at all times. (hint -> ralf schumacher actually confirmed this)
the only bonus the 2020 cars have is that theyre so big on track that its hard to overtake them. apart from that i think the 2004 cars are faster in total
@@drache444444 only the aerodynamics of the 2020 cars already beat the 2004 ones with v10
@@joaovictorramos5582 you mean that the 2020 cars win on aero alone? i'd say that highly depends on the track. on high downforce tracks it might be true, but the lighter cars will have more aerodynamic effect from the more limited aerodynamics.
im not sold on a heavier car with less power will be faster overall because of different aerodynamics (remember the 2004 cars had less limiting rules for the wings and underbody)
