    The Ferrari F2004 with slick tyres is absolutely one of the FASTEST F1 cars ever! This car is about 4 seconds faster than the 2023 pole lap from Perez in Jeddah! The Ferrari F2004 would destroy the whole grid during the 2023 Saudi Arabian GP!
    The Ferrari F2004 with slicks is also the fastest car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife! it's way faster than the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo! It laps the Nordschleife under 5 minutes!

      Ive driven the mod. It has too much grip. Its a few seconds faster than 2020 f1 cars which is kind of impossible. You have to remember these cars have a decent bit LESS aero than the modern ones. And less power. While this car has a better top speed without drs and more aero. I know its a decent bit lighter but that doesnt account for the top speed gains whilst retaining the downforce. I think modern slicks on this car would only allow it to go a second or so faster than with the old rubber. Which is still a lot but not as fast as this mod is.

      it sounds great in theory but they'd have to redesign the aero around the v10 and it would be very heavy. after a few years of development it also runs the risk of being too fast for the drivers and they'd break their necks around high g corners. but its a really fun thing to think about how f1 engineers could in theory make cars significantly faster than what we have

    • @R9naldo
      @R9naldo Год назад +5

      NA V10 alone is waaay cheaper but doesn't need any additional components for power. Meaning today a V10 would pull close to 1000HP. Because it's much simpler and theres less moving parts, V10 F1 cars today would be more reliable AND we would have a lot more teams and manufacturers. I would guess atleast 14 teams competing. This gives younger drivers more possibilities.
      Now because theres no hybrid system or a turbo, it's a lot lighter. Car weight would probably be around 620-640kg. This alone greatly increases cornering speed
      Then I think we all want shorter cars, so around 4600mm length. Width and height of current cars is just fine. Rear wing height could be increased to modern height. I think it would also be better for it to be more similar to the 2004 chassis design but even a little more aero, the modern V10 would destroy everything else in terms of cornering speed due to weight. Remove TC also because they have slicks now so its not as unstable as with grooved tyres. It would be perfection

    • @DRk1ll3dm3

      Maybe too much grip yea. these cars weighed 605kg inc driver and fuel, 2022 cars 795 inc driver and no fuel (max 110kg). 40kg in current cars would be 1,5s per lap. If these cars had the weight of the old cars it would make them faster by 7-10 sec using that logic. the old tires were harder and heated up way more due to the groves so slicks would add allot of grip to them. weight plays a huge role in high gforce corners. 200kg in pouhon would add about 1 ton of additional sideways force Maybe one day they'll slap some slicks on a real one......

    FIA changed the F1 format from V10>V8> Hybrid because of MSC/Ferrari's dominance, due to the other teams frustrations, this will not be addressed directly by anyone but if you watch old footage it's all there in hints and body language, the top current teams (Including one's right now at the top) were approaching their cars eyeing off their aero package a lot of times after Ferrari's wins and also hacking their technical data.
    To make a long story short I am convinced that "FIA" robbed M.Schumacher, R.Barichello, F. Massa, Formula 1 history and community of Ferrari's era of dominance because of the pressure mounted on them by the other teams and the ugly hidden proposition of financial manipulation that is exchanged in those tall buildings where handshakes between snakes are carried out.
    It is also my realization no actual Formula 1 exists today, Formula 1 to it's core was "Strategy" encompassing all aspects of maintenance from fuel loads,Tyre manufacturer supply, pit timing, aero/engine package's where teams had more control and exploration, etc; What we have today is a soulless version of the former run by motorsport racing communists and team principle dictators who have to have their influential demands met because it's too much for them to be compromised by new teams entering the comp threatening their era's of domination regardless of what previous racing experience they have.
    and this is Why I no longer see this mode of racing as serious but stupid rubbish, drinking lemon juice has more satisfaction. Quick Fact, did you know "Indy" is faster than F1?!...

    It is sad to see so many people commenting here without any clue. First off, this lap was slower than the current Nordschleife F2004 world record on the regular GROOVED tyres (4:43.668). Secondly, the car on slicks can do 4:27. Thirdly, the REAL car could do VERY close to the simulated times. This is Assetto Corsa, not some stupid arcade crap!

    The only way I can see this being beaten is by doing the run on Hypersoft tyres because their grip is yet to be rivalled.
