The 2004 French GP is constantly overlooked in how consistently fast Schumacher could be when needed. Multiple stints putting in lap times that would have put him top 10 on the grid, all to be lighter and run an extra pit stop to beat Alonso.
Then the bonus of Rubens yoinking 3rd at the penultimate corner.

Thanks for this great video. It made me cry a little bit! Schumacher-era Ferrari was my childhood. I started following F1 in 1998 by reading race reports in car magazines, but I couldn't watch them on TV back then. Even reading about the fierce rivalries with Mclaren and Williams, Hakkinen, Raikkonen, Coulthard, and Montoya was thrilling. In 2005, I was able to watch the race re-runs, but by then, the Ferrari dominance era was over. But 2006 was good; even though Schumacher and Ferrari didn't win the championship, I still enjoyed watching those races.

Nice vid, I loved this car and it's probably my favorite of all time.
The 2003 car was abetted than the race results showed . After the Hungarian GP, it was found that the Michelin tires deformed beyond the maximum tread width and Michelin were forced to change their tires construction. Ferrari won all the remaining races to clinch the titles.
Had the Michelin tires been legal from the beginning of the season, it would probably would have been another dominant Ferrari season.

I have no doubt that if Ferrari let the F2004 in full on race spec, with its all 950HPs, track focused maximum attack setup and put modern slicks on it, it will decimate the entire modern Formula 1 grid. That monster was so fast, nimble and agile, words simply can't serve it justice. Even on the grooved tires it still looked like a cartoon car while cornering. Watching it through the S-es of Suzuka, Degner and 130R was almost unreal. It was like that car and Michael defied the laws of physics.

There’s a reason why the Ferrari F2004 is THE Formula 1 car.
If you look, all of the key figures that year in Ferrari are all now parts of other teams that today form some of the most successful teams of this era, mainly within Mercedes and red bull. I think the only missing piece of what would’ve been the dream team of all dream teams in 2004 is if they had Adrian Newey in the aero department, but he was in McLaren at that time.

The closest competitor to Schumacher and Barrichelo with the F2004, was BAR Honda with Jensen Button, BAR finished second in the Constructors and Button finished third. Please refer to the 2003 Ferrari in its correct form, F2003 GA, the GA as a tribute to late Fiat Chairman Gianni Angelli. Ross Brawn was Technical Director, the F2004 was designed by Rory Byrne,James Allison, Aldo Costa, Marco Fainello, John Illey and Ignazio Lunetta. Paulo Martinelli and Giles Simon leading the Engine Design and operations.

F2004 had ground breaking features? You didn't name any, but that's mainly because it wasn't revolutionary at all. It was an evolution of the F2003-GA. The F2003-GA had some massive upgrades over the F2002 (First car to have undercut sidepods), but the Bridgestones struggled against the Michelins, especially in the heat. The F2004 was specifically designed to be strong in short stints. A smaller fuel cell and tires specifically made for their design. Ferrari refined a lot of the great features found on the F2003-GA and the tires supported the chassis. Perhaps the biggest trick Ferrari had was supposedly a flexy floor and an incredibly efficient diffuser.
