Look at that low speed control!!
@HolmesHobbies -- how do you compare this motor with Puller Pro v2 brushless setup? pros/cons?
Beautiful motor I think it’s great you open them up
Thank you, I like seeing whats inside them too.
Nice!! I want this in my Older Losi Night Crawler
Chris Seager it’s an awesome motor. Links are in the description for them too
Nice video dude, it’s amazing how you make the crawler so light, and the motor works so great, hi from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 🇺🇸🤜🏻🤛🏻
My eyes is on this motor for my future build Cherokee kit:) with my HW 1080 will definitely do the job..nice video!
I'm impressed by it everytime I drive it, this motor paired with that 1080 is super smooth and plenty strong.
@@ExocagedRC will this motor can be use on rock racer like bomber? I just want to try if the bomber can be a full-time crawling rig...
RC Noypi I don’t think it’s suitable for that style vehicle. It’s smaller than a 540 motor. For a bomber the ideal setup would be a castle Mamba X esc and your choice of motor in the 3000kv range. You can use the aux wire on the mamba x esc for crawler or race mode so you can do both with it. Holmes has a nice 3500kv motor that would run well in there.
@@ExocagedRC i will remember that my friend and huge thanks for the info;)
KILLER!!🖒💯 Love the 27t Holmes Hobbies trail master!! In my trx4 sport! It was a huge difference in!!! NC ❤
Have you tried the 21T trail master by chance
Holmes Hobbies makes awesome motors ...keep up great content..
Hell I cant drive that good with 2 hands!😂👊 What a tough little motor! Right On Brother!
Kevin Gibbs LoL I’ve got a lot better since I started driving one handed for videos.
@@ExocagedRC Thanks for the videos, you're doing an amazing job, super fun and informative. I have a quick question: would you rather pick this motor or Magnum 540? looking for an ultimate brushed setup for my VS4-10 Pro, wanted to have your opinion? what are the main differences between the two in terms of torque and speed? thank you!
I don't even crawl very much anymore but this series is very cool to make it lighter you can cut lugs of the tires and take of the one sticker off lol
lol I've considered a lug cut and body panels getting cutout.
Love the ultra lite build.👍🏼
great video and tips
Better have power for $120*😂 that’s more expensive then my parts bin onroad car I’m building not including controller
Man I tell you, I used to be on the thought of no way in the world would I spend more than $40 on a brushed motor, man the high end ones are VERY nice!!! The Holmes Magnum I have in Optimus 3 was $160 and its fantastic!!!
Exocaged RC I’m saying I would buy one , but for my budget it’s not practical in my current point in the hobby it’s better spent on a better servo esc or remote or kit, especially because I’m not rock crawling
With the 1080 Quicrun HobbyWing ESC, this is a must have.
So that motor is 6s compatible I've been told.
I doubt that. Can’t see this being rated past 3S. I don’t see any limit listed in the description but I wouldn’t go past 3S with it.
@@ExocagedRC I know right...but a guy on the Capra site says he runs the Holmes BR mini and this motor on 6s. I'm like what?
I need to put my Honcho on a diet so I can try and get to the weight of this rig. Very nice video and rig!
Wow so cool! Maybe i missed it did you do a breakdown of that crawler ,what pieces you put together to make that lightweight crawler. What tires and foams are those they seem really great! So I hear people in my area talking about this type of truck ,is this the new trend for comps? Thanks Joe!
Yeah I have a complete build series on this truck. Take a look at my channel videos and they are in there.
You prefer magnum or puller ? Greetings 🙏
Not beating an old horse here but.. Have found the time to try the AXE 550 Motor with the OG AXE ESC? I am eagerly waiting for that video.
skirmich in all honesty I’ve been really busy but I may be able to do a test on a new trx Friday depending on if the owner will let me give it a try.
@@ExocagedRC Hey thanks! when-ever you can is alright!! I just want to know if what the rep of hobbywing said is true and not legit BS.
Awesome 🤙
Great video. I run the exact same motor in my c2 comp truck on 4s and I love it. What was your gear ratio? Sorry if I missed it
Gears and Gasoline I think it is 12/56. Maybe 13/56
Need a test rig and a weight scale with a hook to test the torque strength of each motor you have
What is your review about to that Deep Wood tires?
I'm actually working on a video with these exact tires vs the KLR Gold compound, I'm pretty sure the foams were too hard in the KLR's as they weren't much better if any at all. I feel overall on these tires they are great for a light vehicle due to how rubbery the rubber is, kinda like a rubber band so it can move a lot.
@@ExocagedRC Thanks
I noticed Louise tyres are the same parent company, but different writing on the side.
I have a few sets and they all use the same rubber as the Deep Woods. I keep getting tears in them on the rocks though from being so thin and they're unvented so it's a pain when i want to go in water.
ScottishRC yeah I can see these tearing pretty easily, especially on a heavy vehicle
@@ExocagedRC They all appear to be close to the rim of the beadlock so i've changed them to a beadlock with a different design and added stiffer foams to see if that helps. I hope it does as they perform so good for the price
where did you get the body???
Biskitzngraavy its a Jconcepts boghog body
@@ExocagedRC thanks a lot. I've Been looking for a nice willys body.
Why is this motor so small
Gerardo Ortiz it’s a 400 size, still plenty of power for a moderately lightweight scaler.
Exocaged RC is it less powerful than a 550?
Gerardo Ortiz perhaps yes, this is a strong motor but the armature is about half that of a 550 and that directly affects the torque. It is however build way better than a budget 550 so I’m sure it would hold its own.
Is this on 2s or 3s? Thanks!
Haha, a knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff.
Whits' rcleftovers of what .
