11:54 Okay you just activated some shipper lore. So, Epona's song was just confirmed to be passed down from parent to child in Malon's family right?... pretty much confirms who Link gets with at the end of Oot. TP Link grows up on a ranch, and literally knows Epona's song by default. Malon's own voice can be heard singing over the Hyrule field night theme, It's like Link's ancestors are watching over his journey. The Hero's shade passing down sword techniques, and Malon calming the sky over the field where Lon Lon ranch used to stand.

That last secret on Malons mother is something I didn't know, but what's even stranger is now after BoTW we know for a fact Gerudo women mate with Hylian males, since there race is all female, but exactly why wasn't Malon forced to go back to be with the Gerudo clan as is customary? Maybe that's why they deny it fervently because her mother would be breaking Gerudo customs and if anyone found out, Malon would be torn from her home and dragged to the Gerudo settlement

    • @DreamingHearts
      @DreamingHearts 4 года назад +115

actually, it was mentioned in ocarina of time that the gerudo look for hylian boyfriends around castle market. This isnt something that just happened in breath of the wild. As for why Malon didnt remain behind with the gerudo is honestly baffling as well, but then again, we can't say for sure it is true. Either way, if it IS true, I assume maybe Talon couldn't be with his true love at the time out of the strict rules in the gerudo society. So he took Malon away when she was a baby so she wouldnt be subjugated to such a life.

Though, Nabooru being a sage, a very savvy leader, knows Ganondorfs intentions better than most. Post Hyrule Civil War. Maybe she was smart enough to know a food stable hand and ranch would be helpful down the line. Whilst her Sage wisdom wasn't awakened no, her military and Gerudo mechanics were her faute. It could've been a very sensible move, knowing as a Gentle Woman, a humble (albeit slack) farmhand, may be a very good ally against the future plans of Ganon. Esp as we know the Ranch has been a Hotspot in prior wars and in Ganondorfs eyes.

So she left her daughter to with her mate protect her from Ganondorf's evil while telling the Gerudo that she miscarried or something. Then she tried to stop Ganondorf, was captured by Kome & Kotake, and brainwashed with magic for seven years. Then she was awakened as the sage of spirit and after that we don't know if she could or did return to / interact with the physical world.

But down line, she's connected to the Demise curse by Tribe. So knows well a Hero resurrects. Leaving Malon, seeing a gentle soul (as no way Nabooru doesn't have extra liberty of travel ex, part why I think, her little adventures n what not. Let Koume n Koutake to such extreme suspicion, then action), would down in time, be something highly prized. Esp given aforementioned factors and G'dorfs fondness of the strongest Horse. Was about to comment this as well. You also don't need the drawbridge up to collect the Rupees, just go to the top of one of the chains, roughly one chain link from the end, and do a running jump to the left or right (you want to jump toward the opposite drawbridge chain). If you do it correctly, you'll grab one or two invisible Purple Rupees (worth about 20 Rupees each). There's 3 invisible Purple Rupees and you can only grab 2 with each jump, so you'll have to climb and jump off the other chain to gather them all.
Then you can just walk inside of the city and back out to respawn them, for potentially infinite money (until nighttime comes and the drawbridge raises, although you can just reset it with the Sun Song). I also spam the chains for early money, especially now that I'm playing "Ocarina of Time Randomizer" a lot.

OoT Link may be slightly Gerudo as well. I mean, in game, he looks like he's almost got strawberry-blonde hair or orange hair. Which is a combination of blonde and RED hair. And who are the only redheads in the game? Gerudo or their descendants.
TP Link is not necessarily FROM Ordon originally. That's just where he grew up. Have you ever noticed that he's the only Hylian with pointed ears in Ordon? Everyone else in the village has rounded ears like the Gerudo. Hmm...

    • @wokeupinapanic
      @wokeupinapanic 4 года назад +23

There is no “part-Gerudo” as that’s not how their genetics work. Malon wouldn’t be “half” Gerudo. She’d be 100% Gerudo.
Think about it; if Malon was born from Gerudo and Hylian and was Half and Half, when she grows up and has a child with a Hylian, that child would be 1/4 Gerudo. And then that child would grow up and have a child 1/8th Gerudo...
Gerudo wouldn’t be a thing after like 3-4 generations.
Instead, when a Gerudo has a child, that child is full-blown, 100% Gerudo. It’s part of the reason why they almost exclusively give birth to females.
Which brings up the next point. Link.
Link CAN’T be Gerudo. Because that would make him 100% Gerudo, and that would make him the Gerudo King. But a male is only born every 100 years or so, and in OoT, Ganondorf is the Gerudo King. Furthermore, by BotW, because Ganondorf is still actually technically alive, the Gerudo have not had another male birth. Ganondorf is still the Gerudo King, he’s just locked under Hyrule Castle.
So TL;DR - there is no such thing as part-Gerudo. All Gerudo are 100% Gerudo, no matter who the father is.

wokeupinapanic thats a fair point, but remember how in OoT the gerudo have round ears, but in BotW they have pointed ears. This isn’t just a retcon, it’s because they’ve been breeding with Hylians for so long. These aren’t pure gerudo. But again, you have a fair point, but another thing to note is the very inconsistent logic from game to game, and this could be one of those times where it doesn’t work right.

I'm surprised he didn't mention the secret Mario pictures in Zelda's garden. Here is one that I've heard barely anyone mention. There is a glitch called Like Like clipping where you clip through the floor/corner of the wall after stunning them and making them a solid object. There is another glitch involved with stunning the Like Like. Try stunning them (deku nut, hookshot, etc) as they are in their lunging eating animation. Now back away from them and look at the distorted model you've created. This doesn't work with the Majora's Mask ones for whatever reason.

Best thing to do is face the half wall where the chain meets the drawbridge, then sidehop all the way up. Jumping off the top will give 20. You can then turn back into hyrule quick and turn back out to do it again as many times as you want for unlimited red rupees. Suns song will obviously help if you’re close to night time while you’re out on the drawbridge

Some more secrets I'm pretty sure casual players don't know (no glitches or weird tricks required):
1: You can beat Fire Temple without the bow if you don't want the dungeon map. This way you can get biggorons sword earlier.
2: Adult Link can kill Skull Kid in Lost Woods for 200 rupees.
3: Spirit and Shadow can be done in any order.
4: Ice Arrows have a unique animation on Bongo Bongo, freezing his hand in a block of ice that his free hand will start punching.
5: If you return to Lon Lon after "stealing" Epona and win a surprisingly difficult minigame, a cow will appear in Link's house in Kokiri Forest.
Glitchy things that require no effort:
1: Bombs damage Volvagia if placed on the last hole she dived into.
2: Dampé will dig up infinite heart pieces in the heart pounding grave digging tour if you have the patience to try it.

@Psyche Yeah the eye switch just leads to the map. When I figured that out, I started doing Fire First. But with glitches, you can do temples in any order, just without glitches you're limited since Nocturne cutscene only triggers when you have Forest, Fire, and Water Medallions. I don't speedrun the game, I just played the game so much that I started using glitches and messing with dungeon orders to make the game fun again.

Just an FYI, you don't have to wait for nighttime to get the red rupees over the drawbridge. You just need to jump at a 90 degree angle to the chains to get two of the three. There's also an entryway right there so you can just leave and re-enter Hyrule field to respawn them. As far as I remember this is the best repeatable source of money in the game, as the only ones that are faster are only available after you have completed most of the game and no longer have any need for money. Wallmasters are maybe better, but they sometimes just feel like dropping 15 instead of 60 rupees.

Another Secret of sorts is that the other Scarecrow (Bonooru?) will memorize whatever random notes you play him, which is unlimited maybe? I don't remember, but when you beat the game, if you wait a couple minutes, you will hear the same "Song" you played to the scarecrow played, and every couple minutes it will play again, in different pitches, and styles, such as malon singing it (I think?), and becoming sharp or flat. Easy to miss if you turn off the game right after beating it.

Another interesting secret is in the Ocarina of Time Manga. There is a bonus chapter after the child arc that is a original prequel story about the Skull Kid in the game. He says Link's face looks familiar (a distant memory of what he looked like before) and when Skull Kid's flashback as a normal kid is shown, it's shown that he was a Hylian boy with Blond Hair and Pointy ears and when you see his mother in the background she has the same hairstyle as when Link's Mom is shown in the Manga in another flashback. While non-canon in the game it is a possibility that Skull Kid was Link's older brother who got lost in the lost woods and turned into a Skull Kid in the manga.

His surrogate mothers are Twinrova. Did they conceive him magically so they are actually his parents, or did another Gerudo birth him? If he was birthed by another Gerudo, who was his Hylian father? I'm insanely curious now lol.

One secret that doesn't seem to get alot of attention that I remember from many years back is also one in the Gerudo base. When you free the last carpenter from imprisonment as adult Link you encounter a character who engages in dialogue without being hostile. I can't remember if it was Nabooru or not, but she will always be wearing the same color of clothing as the tunic Link wears, and if you change tunics in front of her, the color of her clothing will also change to match. Its an interesting detail, albeit a vague and situational one since this is the only time where this occurs, and when you leave the room, it never happens again since you never encounter this character again outside of cutscenes.

if we gunna include the zeldas lullaby to fix signs try catching a butterfly on the end of a deku stick, it will then turn into a fairy that you can capture in a bottle. Best place to try this out is the field outside of the castle as a child, but any where theres a butterfly will work. Just make sure to move very slowly as fast movements cause em to run away

Bro my dad showed me that when I was a kid and it blew my mind but I couldn't recreate it. I'm definitely gonna try again now.

There's one more secret that ties into the last secret. If you wear the Zora mask and talk to Ruto, you get some very funny dialogue! Try it out sometime! I tried the same thing with the Goron mask vs. the Gorons, but I don't remember anything interesting happening there.

Secret 3 --- you don't need to walk across the top of the drawbridge to collect those rupees, you can just walk up the chains during the day and jump across. You may have to do this on both sides to get them all, but you definitely don't need to wait until the drawbridge goes up.

I didn't know about the Poes and about the last one... And the last one is MIND BLOWING and makes a lot of sense!!!!

For the 3rd Secret, you can actually walk all the way up to the top during the day, and when the bridge comes up, you will be stationary while the chain moves. So you don't have to worry about tightroping the whole thing.

I wanted to add to your theory of Malon's mom! When you put on the mask of truth near the temple of time the Shekiah stones talk to you to gossip about Malon. And the last one makes a randomish change of topic out of the 4 stones about how Gerudo wonen sometimes come to Hyrule to find husbands. I think the "You look like my WIFE" part and that combined is very strong hints man (Playing on N64 btw)

You forgot about ALL the swordless Link shenanigans. Basically you save and quit after Ganon knocks the Master Sword out of your hand. It causes a lot of fun glitches.

I just beat OoT on my 3DS a couple days ago. We had it on my Nintendo 64 when we were little and I remember I always wanted my older to beat the shadow temple for me because it spooked me. Lol

You can collect the rupies on the bridge by walking up the chain and juming down towards the middle of the bridge. you just have to make sure to not stand at the very top, but a little off from the wall. enter the the castle, go out, repeat.

I never knew about the Talon, Malon and Nabooru connection. I feel like Hudson and Rhondson wedding in Breath of the wild may be a reference back to this, their character models seem like they might be similar enough, in that way that Zelda refreshes old characters. I almost wouldn’t be surprised if there was a side quest to help a certain real estate developer restore a old ranch to raise his new family at, and maybe they even have a familiar looking new red headed daughter, that loves horses.

Fun one with the signs. Equip deku nuts. And chop up a sign and play zeldas lullaby then quickly throw a deku nut, you can end up with the top half of the sign floating in mid air
