      If you use the rockshox trailhead app then you can find the servicing manual for your forks and then find the right weight oils. All you need to do is input the number on the back of the fork upper and then go to documents and find the service manual. There scroll down to the part of the service you where you add the oil and it will tell you the weight and volume

    What year fork is this? Is the procedure the same for a 2017 Yari? Also is that the debonair spring? I noticed the circlip comes off easily on the air shaft side. But the lock ring clip on the lower of the damper side in not a circlip 🤔 seems like they could have used a circlip there too in order to make it easier? 🤷 Is it easy enough to remove without causing damage to the inside on the stanchion? Great video by the way! Most detailed one I've seen! 👍

    • @cannondany

      This was a 2017 if I remember correctly. I will also make a Yari rebuild video in February.

    • @buggerall

      The pre 2018 models revelation have 32 mm stanchions and are incompatible with the Pike's 35 mm innards. This definitely looked like a 2018 model as is mine. 35 mm stanchions and the 2018 Debon Air kit with black seal heads.
      BTW: mine has a circlip on both sides. I didn't buy it new so someone may have changed it. Removal is a lot less risky now ;-)

    I have a Rockshox 30 silver TK and I have an issue regarding this fork. The rebound knob is not making clicking sounds while trying to adjust the rebound damping, it just slides round and round smoothly and also it is harder to push the knob in its position. Can you tell me what is causing the problem? Do I need to replace the rebound damper with new one?

    When I click on the link for RockShox service kit, it gave me two option. Is this the Dual Position Air or Solo Air. My shock look exactly like yours. Which service kit did you buy?

    • @buggerall
      @buggerall 3 года назад +1

      They are all solo air's. Dual Air is gone with the 2018+ models. Dual position is a Pike Feature and an entirely different beast from Dual Air ;-)
      There was a 2018 dual position Pike but I believe the 2019+ Pike's don't have that feature anymore. They are not listed in the new service manual.
      There are actually three Debon Air versions. His is the 2018 model (note the black seal head). The 2019 Debon Air has a flat red seal head and the 20/21 models have a red cup shaped seal head. The latter two are avalable as an upgrade named Debon Air Upgrade and Debon Air C1 Upgrade.

  • @K2hansle
    @K2hansle 3 года назад +1

    I'm doing this on my Revelation with Debonair. I understand the dust wipers and foam rings should really be replaced, but do you reuse the seal head piston and o-rings that don't seem worn?

      You can remove tokens without removing the lower leg (just remember to release the air before undoing the top), but it will not affect travel, only progression. You will need a new air shaft (cheap as chips) to change travel.

    • @mikee8244
      @mikee8244 4 года назад +1

      Yes, and keep lubricating by picking up a little each time the fork compresses, just don't over grease, there's a little hole that helps ( I think) with pressure in the negative chamber. It can block with grease.
