JVN can you please do a hair tutorial on how to cut long hair for girls because I am about ready to take scissors to my hair because it's way too long and it's way too thick and I can't afford to go to my hairdresser lol
Dearheart I ADORE you as an 'EXTRA' individual and your hubby is such a DOLL TOO 💝💝 ( I know you love y'all's kitty cats BUT I am SO ready for y'all to become PARENTS of an actual little one 🤗💝💝
You two have the best friendly, on-camera chemistry!!! Also... "You are too fabulous of a gay to be running around the streets with this haircut." Period.
I've already said this but I feel like Jare Bear is the voice of reason within all of us! Every time I hear him respond I'm like " yeahhh... yeahhh you're right little shoulder angel". Loved getting to officially "meet" you, Jared! My husband also gets $15 haircuts and it's sad haha. I think he would benefit from some air dry cream and a proper barber.

Jared is such a handsome guy but his old haircut literally is a fashion crime! who cut his hair like that?! a 75 year old straight trucker who was just craving his 15 bucks?! :'D so glad that his inner hottie came through at the end after his make over! ;) LOVE YOOOU, Jonathan!
“Gays are their most powerful after a haircut.” 🤣🌟 Thank you for this vid! Men, listen! 👏 Do your self esteem (and our eyeballs) a favor and get a quality cut and use product! You’re beautiful too! Lean into your handsome selves!! Thank you JVN team. 💞 We need you.
I agree 100% about what you said about hairdresser vs barber, and also about relationships. I had the best one in the world!!! I'd pay $180 for a men's cut and colour, but it was worth EVERY PENNY. It was the highlight of my life, every 3-4 months, no razor, just the scissors, lasted ages and everyone complimented me and we were basically felt like family. But then Covid happened and we had 6 lockdowns (I live in Melbourne). Salons couldn't operate for months. It was literal hell. When the last and by far longest lockdown ended I had an appointment booked for a month later (it was the earliest I could get and I booked at the very start of the lockdown) and when I finally jumped into the chair it was ECSTASY. My treat to myself for having survived the lockdowns. That hour was heaven on earth. I expected a little price hike but foolishly didn't ask, it seemed petty. I wasn't expecting being charged nearly double the usual amount $320. The fact is, I would've HAPPILY have paid that too, if I had the warning to have budgeted for it. It didn't matter that the hairdresser had known me for 10 years, she wanted the money then and there. I had ask my parents to help me pay the bill, it was humiliating. There's still a bit of trauma for me packed into that memory. I wasn't a faultless angel, I wrote a pretty scathing review online in retaliation, and I should've handled my finances better in the first place. But that was genuinely as emotional for me as a romantic breakup. I felt disposable. I'd been through those lockdowns too, and with so sudden of a rise in demand in an industry that was forced to be dormant for so long,I wasn't as forgiving as I should've been. That was October last year, and I've still got some blonde from that haircut left, but now I see a barber and pay $30 for a standard cut. I'm not ready yet to build a relationship like that again. But yeah anyway, point is Hair Stylists are worth their weight in gold. Test a few out. If you want a colour but have never tried it yet, get foils first. All your male friends might be using clippers, but stick to scissors and you're cut will last longer. And NEVER ever feel awkward about asking about the price, even if you're a regular.
Oh no, poor you! It's quite shocking that they would make such a major "adjustment" to the cost and not tell you in advance. I have been going to the same stylist for decades (with occasional affairs with other stylists, but I always end up going back to her). When I was younger, she knew I was working in retail and didn't have a lot of money, so she used to charge me a "student rate" even though I didn't qualify. She also used to give me the remainders of her styling products. Now that I have a bit more money, I try to tip her very generously, but really I can't ever compensate her for her kindness and all the amazing cuts she gave me over the years. A good stylist is worth their weight in gold.
@@truehearts8051 You're probably right. My issue is being assertive with strangers. I've come a long way though from "do whatever" to "can you make it like this picture?" Lol, still got more to grow though
@@jvn and a lot of talent from our favorite hair pro! Guess what, I was hanging around and happened to comment on your previous AirWrap vídeo as well when it came out AND I did get the new one just yesterday, I love it even more! Especially the smoothing brushes really give you a fantastic almost flatiron-like effect - any plans on reviewing the new one or releasing more AirWrap content? Bisoux!
Easily my favorite JVN video thus far! As someone with thin hair this was very informative-especially from a stylist/client relationship standpoint. Great new look Jare-Bear 🐻
I love seeing these live haircut demos, so funny and good. Can you make a surf spray next? I have two of your products, and would love some type of an all natural beach texturizer spray for volume and waves.
I do agree on the relationship with the stylist. I got really lucky with mine. I had moved away 10 hours and I was in a need of a haircut. I phoned a spa 5 minutes from me that had good reviews and just asked if they had any openings for that day. Turned out there was a cancellation with the master stylist and she happened to be co-owner as well. I didn't know what position she held until i left. I went to her every 3 months and we would give updates on our lives to each other and she was wonderful. I was told by the receptionist when I left my first visit with her that this stylist is actually quite booked up and doesn't often get cancellations. It was a rare occurrence for her but also for a new client like myself to be seen by her. I am forever grateful. She would bring on student stylists doing apprenticeships and she would always ask my opinion of them, how they washed my hair. She would analyze how it was washed too. It was a good experience for me too. This stylist always knew what I wanted, she said I was her easiest client but I was one of few who had my natural hair and didn't colour it. She understood the field and position I worked in and knew why I needed a certain style. I cant have a bunch of colours or crazy cuts but its also not my personality but my position requires me to look a certain way. I could relate to her own girls, even though I worked in a very different field. So I was able to develop relationships with some of her other stylists as well who sometimes had to cover for her. She would say that even though I was one of her easiest clients in terms of haircuts, I was also a client who wasn't as demanding and I put more trust in her skills. Which I really did. I always thought she gave great haircuts, even though it was basic. I just wanted clean bangs, layers and a trim of bad ends. Something that looked like I had style as my uniform couldn't be stylish. When you have a good relationship with your stylist, you do trust them more and they get to know what you like and what you need. They can tell you what works best.
it’s so cool to see you cross check as you work, I so rarely see that when I watch haircut videos. I get confused with disconnected hair cuts, so it would help me so much if the instructor made clean sections and showed how to cross check the section before going on to the disconnected section. I hope that makes sense. Also Soylent green is people!!! 😱

Excellent job, as per usual, JVN! 🎉 And it is so much fun to see the magnanimous smile and face of the narrator behind the scenes. : ) Okay, I am totally off topic here, and yes, this is an elevator pitch, but have you ever thought of doing a children's show or writing a children's book? I think kiddos benefit so much when they see adults rocking self love, who are having fun, and are not molding themselves into fear-based molds of what shadow sides of society tell us what we can and can't be. I have a 5 yr old niece and if you did a children's show/movie or wrote a children's book, I would be all over that!! I would read that book with her and watch that show, showing her that loving ourselves and authentic self expression is the standard! 💗 Sorry, I couldn't help myself, I had to pitch! 😅 And that's my elevator pitch! I just love you !!! And Jared’s hair looks great! And yes a good Hair stylist is soooo important ! As i have been through so many and finally have a really good one!
Jared's hair looks so great now - what a cutie pie!! I've had the same hair dresser for the past 7 years; we have a great relationship - she really knows my hair and has never given me a bad cut...plus, she's fun to talk to! She's not cheap, but her cuts look great for about 3 months. Jonathan, your hair tips are making such a difference in my life! I've started sleeping with a silk cap on (my hair is layered and I can't get it all in a scrunchie), combing conditioner through my hair with a wide tooth comb and washing 3 times a week max...AND my JVN Prewash Oil is slated to arrive this week; I'm SO excited to try it!!! Love you...
Hes so cute!! So glad we got to see the infamous Jare Bear lol. I felt so bad his hair got so messed up! Thank God for you!!! Reminds me of when I went to supercuts and thr girl absolutely botched my hair. It was so bad. I didn't cut it for ages after that. Lol
My boyfriend’s hair needs so much help, but I have no idea what to do with it. It’s crazy straight and blonde, so he gets the fades on the side, but I honestly think it could look so much better. Can you do more of these with pin straight hair? This hairstyle turned out amazing.
@@jvn I know you mentioned that Jare’s is straight, my boyfriend’s is somehow even straighter? Like he can’t get any wave whatsoever and I think it’s more medium thick? So when he gets a fade it sticks straight out? Haha is there a cut you would recommend for that kind of hair? I just bought your air dry cream, so he can try it out too!
This was so fun to watch, you’re both so cute! I recently got 40cm of hair cut off for charity and am having to learn how to style short, wavy, thick hair but your air dry cream is a dream…I put it through wet, scrunch, put more in, let my hair dry naturally and voila! It is so quick to do and my hair feels so good (plus smells amazing!). I also got your instant recovery serum which I’m excited to try out. Love the packaging too - your products are also worth every penny! 😘
Love Jared, and the cut and style are next level cuteness 🥰. Air Dry Cream is next level too. I gave some to my aunt and she said it’s so incredible that it must be alien technology. Like Jared, she was avoiding stying products because they feel sticky or crunchy, but Air Dry Cream tamed her hair while making it softer. It looked very shiny and healthy too.
I would LOVE a video on how to shape/maintain a stubble beard for trans guys growing facial hair for the first time! Advice on how to keep it looking nice while in the “awkward phase” of growing new facial hair, and skincare for irritation/keeping your hair healthy while it’s growing would be SO helpful. Love always 🥰

Hi, I'm going to a summer vacation soon to the black sea if it makes any difference. I love swimming but my hair not so much. It always turns into a dry mess that cannot be detangleg. Even if I wear it in a top knot bun. I used to love the phillip kingsley water cap but it's out of stock. Can you recommend me some products to put before or after? My hair is thick but the the strand itself is very thin and gets weighed down very easily by oils.

I’m so glad!!! I made this brand for literally everyone and all hair types and it brings me so much joy when I see comments like this. ❤️
Right?!
Yassss! Been waiting for JareBears debut appearance. 💙
PS. Loving my conditioning mist!
Now we have a face to the voice!
@@jvn a cute one, might I add?
What an incandescent smile Jare haS ❤️

I love the catty commentary 😸 thank you Jared, the air dry cream looks great on you!
Right?!
Loved this episode! Such a funny turn of events. Also Jare should modal, he was throwing lerks!
Great idea!
@@jvn Thank you for the reply!
After 8 long years of battling with insecurities, low self-esteem, with constant fear of the knowledge I could infect someone with HSV 1&2 was a nightmare to me. I'm so glad/grateful that I am over Herpes and its stigma! All thanks to Dr. Aloha #Herpes #Hsv1 #Hsv2 #Sti ruclips.net/channel/UC_YFEEZEr1BxGkNg1d4vqww 🍀🇺🇸
He’s so cute! Perfect teeth! And that jaw line 😍
THANK YOU JVN!!!!
Now don’t be getting those $15 haircuts anymore!
Need more! So good
Plenty more coming your way!
Definitely some scalp treatment, leave in conditioner and air dry cream! And serum to protect from heat!
Jonathan, thanks for fixing him!!!
So much better, right?!
@@jvn he could be a cute boy toy!!
Omg Soylent green reference I’m dying!!!!!! It’s a dystopian movie!! Let’s watch it together JVN 😿

I'm going to start using trimergency! I'm like JVN whenever I do my families hair, I have to fix their cut before I do what they came for. 🤷🏽♀
I mean we need a good base to start!
Can you get more guys and help them with styling, I wanted some help in how to blow dry a wavy guy hairs. Really appreciate. 🙏
Adding to our list! Could also look at the short curly hair tutorial for some tips, just less sections and less product!
I cut my own hair and my son’s hair through a large portion of the early pandemic (2020-early 2022) and even I know not to leave things so uneven!!!
I mean where did he find this barber?!
“…the difference between a good and bad haircut is 10 days” 🤣🤣🤣

@@jvn 🥰💜
I have similar hair to him, maybe a little less… I thought I was hopeless and couldn’t do anything with my hair. I will try the air dry cream. Man that Jared guy is hot

@@jvn you are great! 😘
YAASSSSSS...
This is what a man need 😄✨
Yassss!!!
Harps looks great 😘
❤️
I love you guys!
We’re fun right?!
What happens if I use the air dry cream but don't blow dry my hair afterwards? Will it still have a good effect?
Yep! You can use a little wet, let it air dry, then add a tiny pea size more.
I also have really good taste (der I’m on this channel) and am artistic so when you said these two things it started hitting home because I don’t have a regular hair stylist either 😢 the shame!!!
This is why we call this hair therapy!
Thank you for your Soylent Green reference! None of my friends get it!!😑Soylent Green….is people!😱
I’m glad people here do!!!
this transformation was so understated with such a *huge* impact! jared if you’re reading this or jonathan if you are please let jared know how special he comes across in these short clips!.. this bi 26 year old womxn wants you to know how beautiful you are to her 🥹 you radiate inner beauty in one hell of a exterior package. i don’t want to objectify you and you certainly don’t need me to tell you you’re pretty but hopefully, if seen, you can know from a stranger online that you’re a beautiful soul. xx someone who wants to be your friend! 🖤
This is so kind. Thank you so much for the note. I’ll be sure to tell him! ❤️ so glad you’re here.
UMMM Jared can hit me up with or without haircut any time 😍
😆
