    A hairdresser absolutely destroyed my hair, nothing like the picture, thinned out within an inch of it's life, short in the back tiny thin long pieces in the front, I'm heartbroken, I'd just grown out a pixie and now the back is a pixie again. 💔

      I’m with you. I’m crushed. I gave her inspiration of blunt cut. But she trimmed the outer side of my hair to make my hair look like a round mushroom which I asked her not to! I wanted a haircut like hers in the video, blunt, but my hair is like a trimmed short bob that’s super super short. I lost all my confidence, and look like a boy

      @@Nikkiqiao I'm so sorry you went through that. I remember the time I went to a hair stylist for a bob with bangs. She was recommended by my sister and had cut my hair perfectly twice before. All she was supposed to do is trim the bangs. Instead, she hacked off a big chunk on one side because she said my hair was too heavy. Then she said to had to cut the other side to balance it out. When I went to my sister's afterwards, at first glance she thought I was her paperboy! I hope your hair grows super fast.

    I have had way too many bad haircuts at the salon. The stylists not only did what they wanted, but took thinning shears to my hair when I specifically told them not to. So I fired the salon, and I take a seat every couple months to have my husband trim my hair for me, never a bad haircut, he does exactly what I ask. I get compliments on my hair, plus my mom and best friend have him cut their hair as they like his work, and had too many bad haircuts at the salon as well.

I've had several nightmare haircuts in my life but now happier with my new regrowth of about 5 years. Great tips as always. I have very naturally curly hair and usually I can easily hide a bad haircut. HOWEVER, I once sat in a salon and the woman gave me a mullet. NO Kidding! I was in a panic state and went to another salon where the woman ended up having to cut all my long hair off to even it out. The upside is that same woman is still cutting my hair today, almost 9 years later. She's terrific!

Fortunately, I’ve always been able to cut my own hair and luckily it’s curly (frizzy in Florida humidity) ! But I can get away with it! Color was something else and fun for me to have it done! This past year has given me the courage to grow out my gray! Not everyone I know is happy with my choice BUT I AM!! So thank you so much for the encouragement and inspiration! Just one more thing ......before this year of the pandemic I thought about letting my gray hair grow out and everyone had an opinion including my colorist! Telling me I’d look ten years older!! But considering I’m 70 that was ,how can I say this, rude? Actually, I think my natural hair color softens my features and just looks healthier! It was like straw. I went back to her a couple of days later and she acted like she could not see anything wrong. I pulled out a clump of hair. She conditioned it, but that didn't help. I went to another stylist who had to cut alot of my hair to get the dead part off. I was horrified! Since then I have been very careful who I go to.

    I wish I could cut it on my own, but I like a layered lob with bangs (not the Rachel, though!), and I can't do that alone. But, at this point, after about 37 years of frustration, I might really try to learn.

I swear he's a very intelligent man but I have no idea what he was thinking. It's kind of a reverse bob with occasional long chunks. Even if there had been no Covid, I would have stayed at home. With the shades drawn, of course.

      I had hair that was below my boobs, beautiful Auburn curls like Merida from Brave. I asked my sister to trim it, we were taking and I asked if she wanted a guide and she said she had already cut it. I turned around and there is about 6 inches of my hair on the floor. I cried for 2 weeks straight. Because of the bounce in the curl I have a bob now. Although other people say it's look nice, I hate it, I dont feel like myself at all. That was 5 months ago. You are very much not alone. Hopefully you feel better about yours now.

    So I decided to go grey & try & cut a lot of hair off to get rid of some of the black. Didn’t get a fringe exactly maybe curtain bangs with a bob. I live in a really humid part of Australia. My hair has been constantly frizzy with these curly sticky out side bangs that won’t go in a ponytail & it’s constantly driving me nuts so I’m very impatiently waiting for it to grow but it’s taking forever 😣 🌸

  • @cinma4890
    @cinma4890 3 года назад +1

    This has happened to me. Omg I asked for something and she buzzcut it all. Which was not what I asked for. Nevertheless it worked out Bc i was growing out my grey. So truly nothing I could do but wait. Now it’s growing it’s all lengths but I am letting it keep growing before I get another cut.

    I asked my hairdresser for a butterfly cut. I had 10 pictures that were all the same just different styling so you can see the layers. My hair was to my waist and i didn’t want any length off. She turns be aways from the mirror and when i was turned back i had layers that were 1/2 inch from my head heavy chopping bangs. Hair to my shoulders and you can see through it because she thinned it when the haircut is nothing like it. And she only cut heavy bangs on one side of my hair and bottom is uneven. My mother says it looks like a bunch of goats chewed my hair up its so bad. So i am really trying to not worry. I have naturally thick hair and this is ridiculously thin. I am just going to play around with it and have fun because my hair grows fast but i am still upset

    Honestly once I accepted the fact that I have thin, fine hair and have very few choices I know what’s best for me. Basic Bob w/bangs now again. Even my best hairdresser (family member) who cuts it but can jack up the styling now and again. My sons wedding I had her cut & blow out the morning of his big day. I went right home, got it wet then blew it out myself!

    Thank you so much for your uplifting words. I've been trying to get a nice long bob since three years. Blunt cut, no layers, longer front, shorter back. But... No matter which salon or stylist, they ruin it by cutting a stereotype chin-lenght standart bob, on top with shorter front and longer back. Adding 10+ years to my face. I show pictures and always explain the exact lenght that I want. I don't get why it doesn't work. Probably I'm wrong and this is a difficult cut? 🤔

    I shaved my head bald from elbow length long at start of covid, hoping it would grow back stronger/healthier after years of damaging it. Even with almost 2 years of no heat/styling products it looks like a super short Rachel haircut when I want a one-length blunt bob. Its soooo slow to grow. I just want my long thick hair back. I am so depressed. I am embarrassed to meet new people with my ugly hair.

    I had my bangs cut yesterday and they are way too short to do the styles I like. Worse is I'll be going to a new school after a month and my bangs will definitely not be grown out enough. It'll probably take a few months to get them to an acceptable length and acceptable is still not what I really want. I already feel so ugly now this makes me feel even worse. I don't know what to do I've been avoiding people all day today while searching through RUclips for advice and such

    OMG the thinning story is awful 🙈Sorry you had to go through that. Guess why I searched for this video... ^^ Second time in my life that I take a PHOTO of a soft, shoulder-length, simple beach waves style and get a bloody short bob. Turst me it looks terrible on me (round face, thin hair, need I say more). Seriously, I'm at a point where I'm gonna start asking for proof of qualification before I'll allow someone to touch my hair again... -.- Been going from hairdresser to hairdresser in the past two years (after a move) and I just can't find anyone I'm happy with, this is crazy. Anyway, after the disappointment and internal screaming, I ended up exploring a curling iron + accessories path, it's actually pretty fun as I've never used these tools before. Lot of work tho - but at least I have the confidence to leave the house.

    I can't get them to leave enough hair left to ask for it to be fixed. I asked for them to take an inch off and then they leave only an inch to my scalp. Every time I grow it out enough to have something to work with they do this over again. And it doesn't matter who I go to they all do the same thing.
