Okay, you all know how much I love my kitties, and to be honest I could have 100 cats and still want more. Who else is a cat lover here? In this cat storytime video, I'm talking you through the entire story of how all of my cats came to me. And also why I am a huge proponent of animal adoption since there are so many animals that need homes. And let's say you just want hair content? Well, here's my daily curly hairstyle and care tutorial. And yes, I use my own line and some of you say I just push JVN Hair, but it's honestly because I personally believe it's the healthiest and best for your hair, and if you're like me, you want to take the best care of your hair and you want to own your natural curly hair, so we need to make sure we treat these curls right.

Same. Went to the vet yesterday thinking my little gal was 14 or 15 (she was a an adult rescue) and they checked her chart and the firm 15 age really got me. Just hearing it out loud. I've been joking about her being my old girl... but it's too real.

I just suddenly lost my beautiful big lovable orange cat Tony yesterday after 10 years together. He was loved by so many, and he loved everyone! Cats really take up so much room in your heart, and leave a big hole in your heart when the time comes. Hug your cats everyone, you never know what could happen. Thank you for this video, it felt like a big hug after so much sudden grief
My first kitty angel, Fluffers lived to 18. My cranky, gorgeous calico, Clara Jane Oswin passed suddenly at 9 and I was ugly crying in the shower for months. She was my feline soulmate. So we adopted two strapping brothers, Dexter and Dougal. They're healing my heart. Love to you and your babies!!

One of the reasons I love the air dry cream is that its not like a gel that makes my hair feel all crunchy ! Which i hate ! And this brings out my curls !

Here is my story, this just happened this week. Both my kids :( moved out on June 1st and my daughter had a cat. My husband really missed the cat and he told me he wanted to rescue a cat. I told him that I wanted to rescue a dog, because I've never had a dog (I am 59 years old). Friday when I came home from work my husband very seriously said, "I've been to a Shelter in OC a few times and there is this cat". It was pretty funny, like he has been cheating on my with a cat. He said he took our daughter today to meet her and that the cat is very friendly. A woman had to surrender her 2 cats because she was in an abusive relationship and she couldn't care for them anymore. Unfortunately Bob died, but Jolene had her ear cut off by the abusive boyfriend. This is where your heartstrings just ripped, trust me, I know. I am now the owner of a 5 year old cat with one ear. Jolene Van Gogh. We added the middle name, you have to add a little humor to the tragedy. She has turned out to be a very loving cat.
Hello Gorgeous! “ Better to ask forgiveness than permission.” Love that! I’ve been kitty free for 5 years. 😿I do volunteer at a kitty shelter though. I’m with you on not paying for manufactured pets. So many love bugs need good homes. I was lucky my last fur baby Mirrabella lived 22 years! And her named fit her kween self! You need and orange ginger kitty. They have the friendliest disposition

Cats can live so long, comparatively. I have 4 rescues (which is slightly embarrassing) and I have no idea how old 2 of them are. I just give them as much love as possible every day. That sounds so cheesy but it's true.
My cat turned 10 in December and that was pretty much my response… I felt that 😅 Let’s hope both our cats make it to at least 25 in a happy and healthy way 😊

I just love the kitties so much!!!!! My Dad has a 23lb calico that manages to take up an entire king sized bed, and wakes him for breakfast every morning by licking his eyes. 🤗🤗🤗

My kitty has been with us since mid 2015. She a lovely calico princess, she’s entitled, has a feisty temperament and has these lovely mesmerising green eyes. She’s such a beauty. She’s my sister, my daughter and my baby girl child. She loves chin rubs and I’ve always been so obsessed with her.

Ahhh! I love this. We have 4 kitties right now. At one point we had 7 because we kept taking in strays that would show up at our house. I think our house got a reputation for it because at one point, there were two kittens in our yard that just HAD to have been dumped there because they were about 4 weeks old. It made me mad, but at least they were dumped with the intention of us taking them in.
LOL not the “im not gonna judge people who spend money on cats” then rips them a new one. I’ve rescued 5 so i feel you! ❤
My cats are my whole world!!! I’ve been rescuing now since quarantine 2020 and it’s the most rewarding thing. We catch feral adults and get them spayed/neutered and the ones that already have kittens we tame and foster them and find good homes. Our ferals are incredible too. ❤️

I love black kitties! My Kiera will be 19 in Feb '23. She can't hear almost anything now in her old age but she's still going strong & is a momma's girl. I'd love to get her a sibling but she's very much a Queen of the house

Cats are amazing. I lost both of mine within a week of each other, they were 21 years old. The grief was unimaginable. I still miss them so much. 😔

I love both of your topics, ( cats and curls ) SO much! I just adopted two young adult kitties from a high kill shelter rescue. I gave them their new names - Willow Pill and Cornbread, and they are beginning to settle in now after a lot of chaos in the beginning of their short lives. It was nice to hear your kitty histories, while learning about hair products and the techniques to create those gorg curls!!

I lost my black cat, Baloo, at 12 year's old just a month ago 😭 he was my ride or die and such a badass. I was really hoping he'd pull 20 years like one of my previous kitties. I was in Petsmart this past weekend and a sweet baby angel all black cat came right up to me rubbing on the crate. I broke down in tears. I wanted her so badly, but I felt that I couldn't replace Baloo with another black cat just yet. It wouldn't be the same and I wouldn't want to be comparing this new cat to my lost love.
Longest story longer, I feel your pain, Jonathan! Black cats are so special and I love the mystique of them. They hold a special place in my heart, and losing cats is so heartwrenching.

My moms rag doll just turned 18 in July!! She was found in a Kmart parking lot before Kmarts went extinct. She has a few but that cat has been with her since I was 5. My kitties are young!! Davy Jones was born at my best friends house in the woods in Georgia shortly after she moved there and she brought him down to Florida for me. Whiskey was born on a goat farm and needed a home!

I have to wet style every day or admit defeat and ponytail the second/third day.

This is so sweet, I love hearing about your kitties! I have two and one of them is all black with white tufts on her belly and she is the sweetest like your Genevieve. Also ironic because my other cat, Philip, his mom is feral but we named her Genevieve!

Swoon is a Deerhound, Da is a pittie mix, obsidian is the all black cat, Kuni is a tortie like Matilda, ignatius is fluffy tabby, Rip is a large calico, and the newest is #5 or Merle( we can't agree) but he's the new all black baby!

Love the curls and love cats! ❤️ I found a stray in my backyard as a kid. I was 11 and never had anything but bunnies. I was so excited. He was a tabby with green eyes. I named him Thomas OMalley (iykyk). He was only 1 at the time. He lived until he was almost 20. Never seemed long enough. Miss my boy 💙🥲. But my hubby let's me adopt everything lol. So I adopted a 3 year old siamese tabby mix and his name is Winter.

I agree there is always a kitten that needs a home. I told my niece I was ready for one and she found someone who had a litter that need a home. They found a stray that they adopted and she was pregnant. I was so devastated when I lost the one before that it took me a long time to be ready for another. My baby’s al year and a half and is name is Dustin and he is a chocolate tabby.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your JVN products. Its the first line that I truly saw a difference after the first use and every product so far is great. I cant wait to try the rest.
I just wish the products in the tubes were not the metal tubes. With carpal tunnel it hurts my hands and i have to waste so much product, even with the tube key which does help a bit. Also wish the Shampoo/Conditioner were labeled better so it was easier to tell them apart in the shower!
