I have a 35% review-to-sales rate. I reviewed my items, removed poor sellers, adjusted my keywords after a significant amount of research, looked at competitors, dropped my prices AND offered free shipping. My views fell DRAMATICALLY. My shop is now a smouldering ruin. If you think you can make money by selling your passion, and not soullessly catering to trends, I find your innocence endearing.
How long ago did you make all these changes? I have found with my shop in the past when I make changes it take the algorithm time to readjust a bit before things start picking up again. Then most of the time they do better from there.
Thank you for the tips. I’m not sure exactly how to make some of these happen…like 25% reviews, for example. I can’t MAKE someone leave a review. Also, selling faster than the leader…obviously I’d love to do that, but HOW can I make that happen?

I'm at 35% review rate but I got dinged by girl dad shop for a shirt that did not say girl dad but instead using long tailed keywords in the listing title I put 'dad to a girl dad to my daughter' which made me dinged which was crazy because literally there are people legit selling girl dad things and the owner of the girl dad shop isn't going after them...really weird.

@@dylanjahraus I am open, yet when I look at my SEO stats, it's the only one that is in the green. I am thinking it's my picture are not the right size. I did noy redo them when Etsy changed the size. So I am looking in doing videos and changing the pictures at the same time. Hopefully that will help. If you have a listing that wasn’t properly optimized and been up for a while is it better to created a new listing or edit the SEO in the old listing and renew it?

I have an etsy shop that sells a niche specific (Christian) Digital Planner. I'm now interested in selling Google Budget Spreadsheets. Do you think I need to create a new store for this ...? Or could I just create the budget spreadsheets (since it's also a digital product) within my same store?

@@dylanjahraus I have a friend who has a very successful shop and though - “hey. I could do this”. It’s been slow going because I’m a full time stay at home mommy but I’ve been consistently researching, designing, and posting. So hopefully I’ll get to where I envision. 🙂

I’m an entrepreneur by heart and had a very successful spray tanning salon in San Diego - but finding a way to create income from home has been a challenge.
Also - I do research, create titles and tags that seem low competition high demand, have competitive pricing, unique designs - but still lack sales. I received my first one last week but am struggling to figure out why I’m not getting sales.
4 years i took a break after my first year. now i delete all old listing and rebrand my shop. i'm active now for 2 weeks. and ive had 7 sales. I NEED more traffic please help

Ok so I’ve had my shop for like a week and I get close to 0 views and have 2 sales which is my aunt😂 I do hand painted pet ornaments, I think they look pretty good and I get requests from people on socials but no Etsy traffic
@@dylanjahraus I have caught the entrepreneurial "bug" while studying business in college! I also love art so I want to start selling it. I thought pets were a good market to start in because people really like custom pet things.
@@dylanjahraus I mean eventually going full time would be great if I can generate enough profits. For now, as a student, its just for me to gain experience and hopefully some money on the side.
I would love to know this as well. I have sent messages thanking customers for their order and asking if they would leave a review, I have included a card in the order asking them to, etc and still get very few that will take the time to actually leave a review. I have even had them reply back and rave on how much they love their order. Still no review 🤷🏻♀️

Initially, I focused on print-on-demand with Printify, but I soon realized that I needed upfront capital to pay for orders before Etsy would pay me after successful delivery. As a new shop owner without much starting capital, I've now shifted my focus to digital printable wall art, similar to shops like NorthPrints or AntiqueWhiteArt. I'm currently working on creating these printables, which aren't published in my shop yet, but I'm excited to offer them soon!

It seems like you have a good sense for business but could use more experience and knowledge about Etsy.
