I really dig how you mind your tone and energy level! You don't have the same monotone delivery like a lot of tutors, and if you get a bit quiet you bring the energy back up. Not to mention the info is great too!
Man god bless you for making these tutorials Ur helping lot of brothers out here ... appreciate your hard work and sharing and helping mentality ...keep growing G
Phew. This MPC stuff is a learning curve for me but I’m getting the hang of it thanks to your videos. This one lead me to have the most fun with my unit since I got it. Thanks man
Same about the learning curve. As a musician I am beginning to HATE the MPC One. The explorer in me keeps messing around but making songs is a no go still. There are easier solutions though the MPC can do a lot in one box. LOL! Did you ever get the hang of it?
Thanks for an in depth explanation of these features. I have the MPC One that I purchased for sequencing hardware but I will be using to load my stems and drums into it as well! Thanks again!
Dude finally I have found a relatable easy to understand supportive instruction on this that doesn't make any assumptions. You remind me of the chill guy at the music store. Can you do a specific tutorial on boom bap beats?
Nice video thanks! And one tip - Every Q link knob has a different 'speed', so the top one is super fast, and the bottom one is super fine. When you press Q link to edit 'sample end', just use the bottom knob to accurately tune that ending of the sample. No need to touch and use big knob every time.
Correct. Also, the more you zoom into the screen the more detailed the data dial is when your turn it. So some times it is easier for me to use the data dial rather than thinking about what bank the Q-Links are on, etc.
This is why I bought one! I haven't even got to the stage where I have plugged it in to my turntable yet, but this huge box of delights makes me smile with the possibilities...!
You have out done your self brother! I've been looking for a simple easy video 📹 to show me what you have taught here today everywhere and I have to admit. You are the MAN! Make more videos 📹 on how to correct mistakes on the mpc. Example when you assign a sample and your new but you want to edit it or you send it to a location you don't know. How do you find them and assign it to the right pad. Explain more about the sample pool. Things like that.
Thank you for making this video. I knew a lot of this already, but in watching different tutorials, I usually pick up something new. I appreciate what you do!
Your videos is helping me a lot bro, I just got my mpc one and I been stuck until I came across your videos.. now I’m more at ease ; I can start creating now 💯 much love ! Keep doing ya thing 👑
Thanks for the awesome video and also the turntable setup for the MPC One. I'm looking forward to using the turntable approach to get farther away from the distracting computer.
Yo my 1st MPC(one) will arrive tomorrow 3/19 ur video showed me exactly how to make my 1st beat right out of the box. I won't get that much sleep this weekend
Great video bro! I send all the new FB MPC Gang members to your channel to learn the ropes cuz you stay crushing the walkthroughs. 💪 Keep up the great work!
Matthew, thanks for your great MPC ONE videos. I have a question: how would you go about incorporating the ONE into a DJ setup, for jamming at home and live performances?
I enjoy these tutorials. Very informative and easy to understand. Looking forward to learning more and waiting on my MPC to show up on my doorstep. Thanks!
Nice video knew how to do that but never really thought abt saving drum kits like how I would a sample/program for later opened mind my mind to something that I will take into my workflow 👍🏾 Thanks
I want to use an MPC one or my MPC studio on FL studio but Akai makes it purposely hard to do that cause they want you to use the MPC program which is cool but FL just has killer work flow.
Awesome. Like. But how can I assign several samples on the same pad via velocity value? For exmpl quite snare and loud snare is a total different sounds. Thanks.
Hello Matthew, You know this MPC. My problem is my old sequencer has a lot of songs. How do can make the MPC the slave to my to my old sequencer? Thank you.
Hey, what’s up? Can you make a video about patched phrase and how to match tempo with a sequencer I have hard time matching patch phrase with sequencer. Could you explain please or make a video thanks. I appreciate it
Exactly what you did. How can I explode that on to separate tracks and then export, bounce down to separate tracks. I was having problems doing that on my Mac. It would show the separate tracks but no sounds. Just empty programs
Matthew Stratton While you’re here any ideas on how to get the One to show up in MPC software? Been pulling my hair out all afternoon trying to work it out! 😭
@@BobBell. I dont use MAC, but on PC you need to make sure you have the software, drivers, and firmware all current. Then you go into controller mode from the menu. Make sure your software is open and it will search for the software and connect.
When i change a drum tempo, that change actually tempo and tune together at the same time. Have you a video that you show how we can change the tempo of sample to the sequence metronome without another tuning?
One way is to use timestretch in the sample edit process options. I did a video for it on the MPC X here: ruclips.net/video/Eq5LqsitG_I/видео.html *MPC One, X, and Live run the same OS so it works on all of them.
Great tutorial! There are 8 stereo audio tracks in stand alone mode but you can have the inputs assigned to 1/ mono or 1+2 stereo so could you have 16 mono tracks?
Well, not really. Because the in a stereo track one side goes out of the left speaker output and one goes out of the right speaker output. So you can really have any combination of 8 audio tracks that are stereo or mono.
Holy h311, technology has taken over even in the MPC realm. The only thing I want is drums and a decent sounding electric bass guitar sounds, to make backing tracks to play guitar with. All the video's demonstrate drums and synth sounds, the only bass I have heard is a synth bass. Is that it? Or, does it have decent sounding electric bass sounds. If it did I would definitely buy. really cool tutes man love the gags and well I really loved the drum sample that you sampled - even though I loved Jack DeJohnette's playing the drums on the album which I also believe Herbie Hancock played on too, Very cool Mathew. Great video Matthew! You've inspired one for me! 🙏 and I've got to say as a content creator I really appreciate how you framed your shots, how you've put your video together. Perfect lighting 👌 I'm not quite there. W.I.P. thanks for the inspiration.🙏
