I didn't know Jim Morrison's sister was in the band. Saw Berlin in Nov of 86. 3rd row seats. She walked into the crowd for Pink and Velvet. Grabbed my concert t-shirt and wiped a little sweat off her neck then gave back. Still got it.
One of the great things about RUclips is that it is a time machine back to the better days in America. Look at this: good music, good fun, everyone packed together enjoying the show and not staring at their cellphones. I wish I could go back.
EPIC,EPIC performance!! I was so glad to Finally see them in Toronto in 2022, with HoJo and Culture Club. I brought my Duaghters..... they Loved it! Berlin is increadable!!
The original, classic lineup didn't realize how special they were and how they ALL needed to remain TOGETHER to make them a long, long, long lasting musical gang for many years and albums to come. No Giorgio Moroder, no BS record label pressure. Just themselves and their unique, vibrant voice.
Thanks for posting. Only the second post of Masquerade that I know of with this tempo. This is the tempo used on the Perfect soundtrack in 86. Sooo much better than the soothing version on Pleasure Victim in 82. This version of Masquerade gave a glimpse of what Love Life was going to sound like in 83/84. One of my all time fav CDs. Many thanks!,,,
Pure Artistry. The electricity and euphoric feeling of this specific configuration of Berlin is undeniable. Teri Nunn was such a musical and expressive Diva and the band a powerful engine behind her, supporting her dynamic performance. Synths "Par Excellence' with punctuating and tasty lead guitar.
In 1983 after my sophomore college year finals, we heading down south from Sacramento for this event. Many great bands. Besides Berlin, INXS put on an amazing show (in my opinion)
I can't recall if it was Dave Diamond or John Crawford, but one of them said that when David Lee Roth was asked who he was most impressed by at the US Festival he (Roth) said Berlin.
Post Malone and performers like him could never sing like this live. This was the days when live music was live and not dubbed over back tracking like he was caught doing. Miss the 80s :(
Thanks Berlin.. and it's such a great opening song I think it's very important to come out with a good song in any concert.. and now you look back the 80s were amazing in music ..what happened?... anyway at least you can go see Berlin still live! Terry sounds amazing..
It should have been done by now but if a documentary movie were to get made on Berlin, I vote for Avril Lavigne to play Terri Nunn. As I'm watching this footage from this well-known festival (which I recall oh-so well back in the days) I see a certain resemblance to that Canadian lass who just happens to share the same birth date as me. :)
This will be 37 years old on the 30th of may can't believe it was that long ago ! I was 13 when I seen all 3 days of the us fest ! Miss those days and the amount of different music we had back then ! Still have a crush on terry 37 years later ! 1 of the best voices to come out of the 80's !!
I just saw Berlin last night and I really miss David Diamond playing BOTH guitar AND keyboards like he did during this US Festival period. Now he ONLY plays guitar and it just isn't as dynamic. I wish someone would tell him. Here Ric Olsen, David, John Crawford AND Matt Reid ALL play keyboards. NOW in 2022 ONLY newer hire Dave Schulz plays keys and it's just not as visually dynamic.
2024 still love it
2024🎉

Back in the day Teri was a goddess and still is to this day. Greatest female lead singer of all time
YES!!!!💖💖💖
This needs to be out on CD.

That was and is the correct form to enjoy a show like you said, no cellphones, just watching and memorazing!!! Love the 80's forever

I always think berlin writing their own songs were better

Ric Olsen is just cranking out the guitar at this show, awesome. And love Dave Diamond's little segue into "Cat Scratch Fever" during the solo to Sex.

Well said!
Was at this show I was 13 what a great concert !
I agree a great concert. I was 21. I will never forget it.
Damn. I just realized this is 40 yrs old.

“World Of Smiles” and “Pleasure Victim” were played after “Pictures Of You” but the footage is missing. That explains the sudden cut into “Touch”.
29:56 That guitar ...... Extreme collectors item now. Absolutley incredible guitar!
the firs time I saw Berlin on TV "this performance" I've been a fan ever since. Terri commands the stage.
I was only 5 but saw this concert on tv in Chile. Awesome music, awesome performance.

Missing Persons were the highlight for me!
I was there. !, First act of US
Check out “Reuniting the band” with them…
Terri just tweeted a picture today (May 30, 2019) of the 36th anniversary of this concert.
I can't recall if it was Dave Diamond or John Crawford, but one of them said that when David Lee Roth was asked who he was most impressed by at the US Festival he (Roth) said Berlin.
Still watching and loving this 2020!

Excelent. Miss those days

So am I!
LOL at Richard Blades in those nut huggers
😂 😂 😂
New wave keyboardists were always hilarious
Wow ! Thanks for the great music Berlin !
Terri Nunn was dating Richard Blade at the time of this festival.
Teri was on fire and punctuated the optimism of this time.

That was a pretty good show
When will music come back 🤒😓😔

Pictures of you Terri

Terri Nunn, and everyone was talking Madonna, lol.
Well hopefully she didn't hit someone in the eye when she threw that drumstick full speed directly into the crowd (23:50) :-o .. huh?....
Lol painters cap, awesomely
Matt Reid looks like he could be Mark Zuckerberg's baby daddy!
Coolest,hottest Lil singer ever!

Rod Learned was such a kick ass drummer. Wished he didn't give up so soon.
haha that gay little skip onto the stage.. classic 80's
